Release day part two...

Hopefully, by now, you're reading some Oracle Seeing, and having a great time. Well, I just got up to start working (I know...I have weird hours.) and I saw something on Amazon.

Here is the pre-order for the next Littlemoon book out in September. You can find it here.

Everhart Rose meets his match, and he's in for one hell of a battle to figure out if his life can turn around, or if he's stuck in the same old quagmire.

I hope you enjoy it!!!

Forbidden Secrets
Coming Sept 9th 2016

Book six in the Littlemoon Investigations series.

Lennox Easton has one hell of a problem. Someone wants her dead. Her whole family has been eradicated in one single decade, and she’s the last woman standing. It’s all hers, and there’s nothing she wants more than to escape it all.

Yes, she’s rich, entitled, and the talk of the town, but not everything is what it seems. Lennox is about her art. She’s about the peace, and then…she’s about one very cranky man.

When she busts into Littlemoon Investigations, she needs their help. Her time is running out, and she knows it won’t be long. She’s marked to die.

To make it worse, her house is haunted by something so sinister, that might end her too. She’s beyond help. She’s desperate.

Everhart Rose has one goal in life. It’s to be a damn good father. He’s struggled for the last few years, trying to be the best dad to Ivy. There are days he’s winning, and days he’s losing. When he runs headlong into Lennox Easton, she ruins his day.

The socialite is just like the rest.
Spoiled.
Bratty.
Rotten.

He’s hell bent on hating her, even if she does everything right. There is no way he’s letting down his guard.

The team takes the case, they go in, and what they find will rock Lennox’s world. She’s hated and because of her blood, her family, and the sins she had nothing to do with, she’s going to die. Hope is running out.

Time is ticking away.

Will the one man, who can save her, stop hating her, long enough to see that she’s not as horrible as he thinks?

Or will Easton Manor and the Forbidden Secrets be her painfully bloody end?

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan.

Next week Oracle is coming!

Morning, all!

It's a week until Oracle Seeing releases. I can't wait. Lucian and Bishop are two of my favorite characters. They rank right behind Elizabeth, Ethan, and Callen, and Greyson and Emma.
I'm about to write the third book next week, and I'm contemplating keeping them.
LOL.

Yes, like a pet I found outside, I think i'm going to keep them in the series. I know right now you're thinking....'What is Morgan talking about?' Well, you'll find out next week on Friday when the book releases.

As I was writing the story, I really felt like their story wasn't done. When I first wrote The Killing Times, it had a different ending. It ended with Ethan taking the job as sheriff of Salem and Elizabeth becoming mayor. It was meant to be a single book, a standalone. There was never meant to be an FBI series. As I wrote 'The End', something didn't feel right.
It felt incomplete, so against best judgment (and some friends who told me I was crazy) I rewrote the ending. Ethan and Elizabeth had more story to tell. Well, that was 2013, and here we are, 3 years and 16 books later, and I have that same feeling.

So, what's coming?
I have no clue, and sometimes, that's the best part of being a writer. You sit down, you start writing, and you let the story tell itself. I think this book will be my 45th novel. Honestly, I've lost count. It's been a fast three years of writing. Lucian and Bishop will have to take the lead on this one, and I trust them. It's their story to tell, and we're going to get to watch it unfold.

I can't wait.
I hope you can't wait either.

Here is the link to the kindle pre-order.

Next week, I'll post the link to the paperback version. (Yes, these release 4 days early so a reader can get it the same day Amazon releases the kindle version--sometimes earlier.)

Tuesday, June 14, 2016

Well???

How did you like it?
Most of you have finished Blood Shall Run by now, and I'm hoping that you enjoyed the beginning of Boone Savage's story with Merry.

If not, fear not. I won't post any spoilers here! I'll be a good girl.
I just wanted to thank those of you who left reviews. I really appreciate it. I'm halfway to Amazon's required amount for promotion, so keep reading and keep reviewing!!!!

Oracle Seeing is coming next month! In fact, it's like 3 weeks away. I hope you enjoy the next book! Bishop and Lucian are two of my all time favorite characters. I fell in love with them when I wrote their story. They will be around for more books!

Have a great day! I'm off to the office to work on the next Littlemoon book, Forbidden Secrets. It's going off to Rachel for editing in 2 weeks, so I need to clean it up for her.

Today is also puppy day. I'll post pictures here and on my Facebook page. We're getting a new puppy. His name is Jethro, and he's arriving tonight. I can't wait to share him with all of you! I'm so freaking excited I can't stand it!!!!!

Anyway,

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan.

It's release week!!!!

Blood Shall Run is out this Friday, and the paperback version will be released in the next twenty four hours.

So, if you haven't gotten your copy pre-ordered, head on out to Amazon and get ready! If you're a Kindle Unlimited reader, it's available around three in the morning on Friday.

Tuesday, May 24, 2016

YAY!

The next Littlemoon book is done!
After a long 8 days, I've just wrapped Forbidden Secrets!
I can't wait for you to read it.

Tomorrow I do the final read through of the next FBI book, Blood Shall Run. I hope you're in the mood for a trip to New Orleans to meet Boone. I promise he will be worth it. Merry is in for one heck of a ride.

For all of you who contacted me on my FB page to tell me not to kill any series, I appreciate it :)
As for ending a series...As long as the books get 20-25 reviews, and Amazon keeps promoting me, I have plenty of time to keep writing. I want them to continue. They are like children to me. They take a lot of love and fostering to come out just right :)

So thank you to everyone who went out and left a review. I know it's not always fun, and sometimes it takes effort, but it really helps. It keeps me doing my job. I hope you all continue your reviews, even if they're not 4 or 5 stars. I need your feedback.
I'll be looking at the reviews and working on next year's schedule this weekend. I'll post it next week.

Have a great Memorial Day to all my fellow Americans in case I don't get to blog again.

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

MK

Another week...

Happy nearly Memorial Day, all!
It's another week, and I'm wrapping up the next Littlemoon book, Forbidden Secrets. It has been a lot of fun to write. I really like Everhart Rose, and Lennox Easton. She's an interesting character.
I hope you enjoy it.

Something was brought up on my FB page, and I thought I'd bring it up here since it's very important to me.
Reviews. I know most of you hate leaving them. I get it. I don't like it either. I always feel like I have to write something fascinating, or I have to be clever. Still, I do it. Here's why.

Last month, when I released Haven of Nightmares, I got tons of feedback in email and on fB, yet, with selling crazy amounts of copies (thousands), it received 10 reviews. That's it. I know more people read it. The kindle Unlimited tells me how many pages each month. Still, it barely received a review. Less than 1% of you left one.

As a writer, who bases my following years books on feedback, I have to assume you didn't like it. With very little feedback, I have to assume you're only reading that series to fill in the time. So, I've made a decision. I'm going to start cutting back.
Honestly, it kills me to do this. I love my job, but Amazon won't promote me unless I have 25 + reviews  per book. That means I have to go out and start promoting, which means I have to stop writing to do it. I gave you guys 12 books this year. Most authors give you 2 max, unless it's a serial where you pay per chapter.
It upsets me.
I work 16 hour days to get these books out to you. My team works tirelessly to make sure they are edited well, and ready for you to read. It's a huge undertaking for one book. It's ridiculous for 12.
So, next year, I was going to give you guys 13 books, but I can't do it. I don't know what books to focus on, since I'm not getting reviews. It's awesome to get a review on a series, but you have to review each book, or there's no point. Amazon is working against indies like me.
It sucks, but it's the rules of the game.

I had a huge year planned. Another double release (Again, less than 15 reviews for them each of those books too) and I really wanted to give you 1200 more pages of the FBI series. If Amazon doesn't promote my books, and I have to start paying for each book promotion, one thing happens.
The price goes up.
I like to give you guys each 500-600 page book for 3.99. That's darn hard. Where a lot of authors are making money by charging per chapter (one made 42.00 for ONE book by the time the chapters were out and it was the same amount of pages as mine )

I really hope the reason you're not leaving review is time constraint, and that you don't hate my books, but I don't know anymore. I've begged, placed it in the back of the books, and pretty much offered up my soul for reviews.
I'm going to have to cut out the Littlemoon series, possibly drop the vamps, and even lose the Oracle series if my reviews don't start picking up. This isn't about me, guys. This is about how tough Amazon makes it for us indies.

If you read it, please review it. If it's not a 4 star, so? Not a 5? Not a big deal. At least leave some clue that I can figure out what I'm doing wrong, or right. I have over 200 blog hits a day. I know that means that at least 200 of you are reading my books.

I just don't get it.
I really don't.
I won't be releasing next year's book schedule, because as it stands, there may only be a few releases. Maybe 12 books a year is too much for you, the reader. I don't know. I haven't a clue.
Are you happy with my work?
Hate it?
Do you wish there was more?
Less?

Anyway, rant over.
back to work.
I have a book to get out. Then an FBI release next month. I really hope more of you start reviewing, or Morgan Kelley just may be shutting down. What choice do I have? This is the core of my job, and I'm not getting feedback and reviews.

It's all up to you guys.

Much love, mayhem, and murder.

Morgan

PS. For those of you who have left reviews, I really appreciate it. Thank you for your feedback. You're the best.

Happy Sunday!

Today, I'm returning to work after my back surgery. It's been a long 6 weeks!!! I can't wait to start writing this week.

I also have good news. The new Croft spin off book, Dark Justice was just uploaded and will be available tomorrow for pre-order. As soon as I get the links from Amazon, I'll post them here. I can't wait for you to read them. The book has been edited for the first and second time, and both Rachel and Laura have given it two thumbs up.

I think you'll like it. This is Greyson Croft post losing his FBI job. You're going to watch him transform from law man to lawless man, but with one big twist. He's going to be saving Vegas one lost soul at a time.

It's batman meets Robin Hood. He's dark and brooding, everyone thinks he's gone bad, but the family knows the truth. He's dedicating his life to saving people the cops can't (or won't) help. He'll wear the badge of 'criminal' but it's the furthest from the truth.

I hope you like it...
In fact, I think in honor of me coming back to work today, I'll give you a little sneak peek.

Dark Justice.
by Author Morgan Kelley
Release date: August 5th

My name is Greyson Croft…

At one time, I was the law in Las Vegas. I kept the streets clean, the bad guys going to jail, and peace in our fine city. Then, that all changed.
In the matter of a heartbeat, it was over.

My life drastically changed.

I kept my word and I made a choice to avenge my family. I let justice go in order to protect the ones I hold dear, and I became an outlaw.
To the cops, Feds, and citizens of the city, I was no longer the law but part of the criminal element. I gave up my gold badge for something completely different.

Dark Justice.

Oh, I still run Las Vegas, but now it’s done from the other side. I’m still a force to reckon with, but I no longer work for the government or the people of the city.

I work for me.
I am justice.

After a year of cleaning up the mess left behind by the powerful mob and money hungry animals threatening our city, I became them. I became what I hunted, and now I am feared. The police don’t trust me.

The media is curious.
And the only people who know what I’m really like are my family. They know the truth.
I became the new power player.
I became the new dark justice.
I became…
The new family everyone feared.

While most think I’m crooked, a criminal, and just like the Dominic Marianna’s in the world, they’re dead wrong. I’m still the only one who stands between the seedy element and the people who have fallen through the cracks. The only difference is, now I’m running Vegas my way. My hands aren’t tied, and I can help those who I couldn’t help before.

Honestly, there’s no one to stop me.

The Croft Empire has been formed. It grew from two people who lived and breathed justice and now it’s an entity in itself.
It’s strong.
And it’s not going anywhere, despite what the law in Las Vegas wants.

Why?

Because in Vegas the good guy is the bad guy, and the bad guys are the ones who pretend to care about the people of this city. That’s crystal clear from where I stand.

Am I breaking the rules?
Yes.

Am I willing to do whatever it takes to protect?
Yes.

What do I have to lose?
Absolutely nothing.

I’ve been a soldier, a man who served his country, taking that shot to end a life. I’ve been a Director in the FBI, making the tough decisions as I tried to keep the peace.

I did my job.
I followed the rules.
Now I make them.

Will everyone agree with them? Not likely. The police don’t like me interfering, but when I see people being kicked around, I always help the underdog.
It may not be the popular bet in Las Vegas, but I want them to win. I want them to find their missing family, get off the streets, and have good lives. They deserve it. They aren’t the forgotten.

I haven’t forgotten them.

My family will do whatever it takes to help them.
Someone has to do it.
That someone is me.

Being the most powerful man in Las Vegas comes with a price, and I’m not the only one paying it. I have a family behind me. In Vegas, being a Croft means something.
It means money.
It means power.
It means…the police hate us.
It means that if you need help, and the cops won’t even give you the time of day, find me.

I will help you.
I don’t hate the police. We used to be them.

I can’t blame them for being suspicious of us. I would be too. In fact, I used to hate people just like me. I used to wake up every morning, strap on a badge and gun, and head out to make sure no one person was in control.

That’s still my job, but instead of being on the side of law and order, I’m on the side of doing what’s right.

I don’t tolerate the criminal element.
I am still that person, the one who ruled from the glass tower of FBI Las Vegas, but now I do it my way.

I’ve learned a valuable lesson.

My family had my back when the law and justice never did. My wife, bless her for putting up with me, was a detective and a damn good one. She handed in her badge the day the FBI took mine. She’s my ally in this fight for justice in the city. She’s smart, beautiful, and willing to fight the good fight. On our team, she’s the sleuth. If it needs to be solved, Emma Croft is your girl. She’ll get to the bottom of it. Every gangster needs that beautiful woman on his arm, and she’s mine.
Together, we have something powerful that no one can destroy. We have true love. There is no Greyson Croft without Emma Croft.

And that’s the truth.

Then there’s my ‘son’, Curtis. He was a Fed too. I trained, mentored, and taught the man everything he knows. He, too, left the FBI when my badge was taken, and I’ll never forget that he always had my back. We may not be blood, but we were forged in something so much stronger.

Love.

He has joined me in helping the people that justice has forgotten in this city. He’s my hacker. If I need something found, he’s going to be the one who digs it up. He’s good with his hands, and even better with his technology. I trust him to do the job—like I did in the FBI.

Curtis helps me level the playing field.
I need all the help I can get.

Then there’s Dimitri Gideon. He’s Russian, a killer, and my muscle. I never thought I’d need that, but he’s proven his loyalty and worth. He, too, like Curtis, is family by love, not by blood. He’s always had Emma’s and my back, and he still does. If I get into a tricky situation, he’s the one who helps me out. He’s smart, complicated, and has so many secrets that no one will ever find them all out.
He’s also the man who locates the victims that this city has forgotten. Dimitri is the one who started all this, and I call him friend, brother, and partner—for life.

Together, we will clean up Las Vegas.

Then there’s Katerina Gideon. She’s young, pretty, damaged, and my thief. If I need it lifted, stolen, or absconded, she’s my girl. She can pick a lock, scale a building, and get into any locked location.
She can disappear in plain sight. Kat is handy, and she’s part of our team.

We’re lucky to have her.

She’s not alone. With her comes Dimitri’s other sister. Natasha Gideon is a genius when it comes to disguise. One minute she is playing one person, and when she comes back around the corner, she’s someone new.

It’s that damn fast.

If you need someone to manipulate the situation, she’s the one. She’s sweet, gentle, and will kill you when you’re least expecting it. No, it’s not all clothes and wigs. She’s lethal, just like her half-brother and sister. Don’t let the girls fool you.

They’re deadly.
They’re smart.

They’re not putting up with anyone’s BS, and that’s how I like them. They have my best interests at heart, and I have theirs.
Family is what matters.

They will always have your back. In life, that’s all you really have. Careers come and go, but the people who love you?
They stick.

In this family, we’re all equal. We’ve been compared to the mob, and it’s damn true.
We’re rich.
We’re powerful.
And we’re doing it our way.

With the rest of the team, we’re taking Vegas by storm. We’re not letting anyone tell us how to find justice. We’re leveling the playing field and helping the little people who were left behind.
We’ve made friends.
We’ve made enemies.
The cops hate us.
The criminals hate us even more.
But the people who lost their way, who were stepped on by the boot of justice, and pushed aside…they need us.
That’s all that matters.

As long as they do, we’re sticking around. Vegas needs that Dark Justice to keep everything fair, and I’m here to make sure it happens.
I am that justice.

When the cops won’t help you and everything seems to be falling in on you, threatening to crush you—find us. When you feel that justice has left the building, and you’re standing there holding the bag—we’ll be there. When you think that you’ve been screwed by the law….
We’re your people.

You don’t have to pay us. We’ll do it for free. Money means nothing to any of us. All we want is justice for all, and for the law to be accountable.
In the end, we’ll get it.

When it’s all said and done, if you find us, and we agree to help you, there’s nothing we won’t do.
We’ll take your case.
We’ll find the answers.
We’ll get you the justice you deserve.
When it’s all said and done, not every mob family is bad. Sometimes….

We’re simply misunderstood.

Look out Las Vegas. You feared me before, but you haven’t seen anything. I’m Greyson Croft, and I’m about to be your worst freaking nightmare.

I’m bringing justice back—with a vengeance.

Signed,

Greyson Croft

I hope you enjoy the book! Check back in tomorrow for the pre-order links!!!

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

MK

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!

Today is always a special day in our house. I get to be queen! What mom doesn't love that?
Mother's Day is always important to me because I know how hard it is for every single woman out there who is struggling to raise her kids. (Sometimes her husband too!)

I think that every day should be Mother's Day. It's not an easy job, but we get it done. So today in honor of all the mothers out there, I'll be making a donation to the local women's shelter. I've asked my family to not buy me anything, but to add to my contribution.

The women there are struggling and need to have someone remember them on this day. They deserve the accolades, not me. I have it easy. I don't live in an abusive situation, my kids are safe, and I have a career that puts food on our table and a roof over our head. (Thanks to all of you.) In the honor of all those mothers escaping abusive situations, trying to keep themselves and their kids alive, I'm going to give them the gift this year.

They deserve it more than I do. Their struggle is real.

To each and every mother out there, thank you for all you do to make the next generation an even better generation. I send you my love, peace, and happiness on this day.

Much love, mayhem, and murder from my family to you,

Morgan, Victor, Isabella, and Alexzander.

Another addition to the family...

There's another book available for pre-order!
Oracle Seeing is finally available on Amazon. It took them forever to get it up, but YAY!!!

Here it is!

You can preorder it, or if you have Kindle Unlimited, you can follow this link to my amazon page and beneath my picture, click 'following'. Amazon will email you when a new book is out!

I really hope you enjoy this one! So far, my team loves Lucian and Bishop. They are a fun couple. He's damaged and brooding, and she's bright and protective. It was awesome to watch them come together.

I hope you're ready for Oracle! A lot happens in this book, including Jagger meets his match.

Book Description.

Oracle Seeing
Book two in the Phoenix Files.

He’s in so much pain.
His gift is killing him. Lucian Monroe is special. He’s a psychic. At one time, before he nearly died in a car explosion, he would use his gift to lock away criminals. He was good at his job. They never had a chance. He owned the courtroom, and he ruled as king.
Until that fateful day…
Everything changed.
Now he’s forced to hide in his mansion, locked behind the walls to stay invisible. He’s a beast, disfigured, scarred, and ruined. He can’t go into the city, let alone face another person down. He’s given up on life. He’s given up on love.
That is until the visions start.
Someone is killing people from his past. He knows deep down, he’ll be next.
In comes Oracle. She’s just like him, and he trusts her. Only, she has a few tricks up her sleeve to save Lucian once and for all. There’s one person in his past who can destroy him. It’s Bishop. She holds the key to solving it all, whether he likes it or not.
Yet, he can’t face her.
He won’t.
If he does…she’ll know the truth that he’s hidden all these years.
As the team goes in, they have no choice but to track the killer in Lucian’s past. Only, the closer they get, one thing becomes clear. Maybe Oracle can’t protect them.
Maybe in life, you pay for your sins whether you deserve to or not.
Sometimes, Beauty can’t save the Beast.

Much love, mayhem, and murder,
Morgan.

Another day...

Morning all!

I'm still recovering from back surgery, but I'm popping in to see how everyone is doing! Have you all finished Haven of Nightmares?
I hope you enjoyed it!!!!

I'll be re-reading it the second week of May as I prep for my return from hiatus. I'll be starting my book schedule with Forbidden Secrets.

I can't wait to do that book.

I really enjoyed creating Detective Everhart Rose, and I think he has a lot of story to tell. Not only his, but his adorable daughter Ivy's too. He's going to be one of those men who follows the rules, can't break them, and has to stay within the lines. I haven't figured out who I'm going to make him fall in love with yet, but she's going to have to be his polar opposite.

I'm thinking creative, wild, impulsive.
Hart needs a little levity in his life.

As for the book... I have no clue. I haven't fleshed it out yet in my head.

I'm reading other books in the different series and making notes. I have a lot to do as soon as I return. First, the Littlemoon book. That's my May schedule. Then I have to write the final FBI book of the year. I think it's out in October. I may make this a Halloween themed one, but I'm not quite sure. Then it's on to 2017. Oracle Saving is book three, and it's out in January. After that, I have to do a back to back book write before Thanksgiving for the FBI series. I'm going to do a flashback book where we meet Tony on his first case, and then it's going to flash back to present time for the second book that month to the killer having returned.

Miss Kitty is making her debut in the flashback book. Everyone always asks for more information on Elizabeth as a young agent, and I'm giving you all what you want. Plus, we're still going to see what their new lives are like on the East Coast. Ethan is the Deputy Director, and that's huge. Callen's writing career has taken off, and will he come out of the closet as Jackson James, or will he write behind that name for a while longer. Then there is Elizabeth...

Can the East Coast handle her?

We shall see.

So, get reading, everyone! There is so much more to come. This year there are 12 books being released. Next year, we have 13. No months off for Morgan. She's giving you a book every month and two in Feb.

Wish me luck!

If you haven't left a review for Haven of Nightmares, can you pop on out to amazon and leave one? Unless I have 25 reviews, they won't promote my books. I need your help! Keep me writing! If you love my books, feed an author!!!!

Much love, Mayhem, and Murder,

Morgan.

Happy Monday!

Hi everyone!
I'm back to the land of the living, and happy to report that my back surgery went over without a hitch! That's not the only thing that was smooth sailing!

Haven of Nightmares was released, it hit the top three on Amazon, and it looks to be a success! I hope you're all enjoying it and finding it as much fun as I did! I love Trey Christensen. As a ghost, he cracks me up!

Thank you so much for all your kind messages, reviews, and emails. I'm in one piece, I've gotten my schedule set up for my return, and I promise the books will be coming! Right now, the next Oracle book, Oracle Seeing is in the editing process. It'll be out in July, and i think you'll really like it. Bishop Killion is awesome. She's tough, she's funny, and she's out to save the man she loves. Lucian Monroe is damaged, scarred (literally) and hiding from the world. Together, they can save Ravenswood from the evil stalking it.

This book is a two-parter. I don't do cliffhangers all that often, and this one really isn't one. There will be resolution at the end, but the story has a second part. You'll understand once you read it. The team is going to have to help one of their own. (HINT: He's a Marine.)

Oracle Saving, the third book in the series will be out in January, and it will be Jagger's story. Everyone is always asking me when he's going to have his chance to find love, and this is it. So, forgive me for the minor cliffhanger. It was the only way. Since Jagger Armstrong is a tough character too, he couldn't have a simple story.
It had to be a struggle, much like his life. Roxanne Faust is going to be his biggest battle, his strongest adversary, and the love of his life.

If he can get through to her.

PS. Here's the first look at the third cover.  No one's seen it yet but you guys!

I promise to do him justice!

Anyway, It's back to relaxing for me. I have some books to read, some outlines to scribble down, and a lot to think about as I do my 6 weeks of recovery. Once back to work, I'll be writing the next Littlemoon book, and then three back to back FBI books. We're onto 2017's book schedule, and there's big things coming!!!!!!!

Happy Monday!
Leave lots of reviews! They're better than flowers for a surgery recovery!!!!

Xoxoxoxo

Much love, Mayhem, and Murder,

Morgan.

prologue

Haven Connecticut
Ten Years ago

He watched them.
As they bustled around the grounds of the school, he silently picked out the ones he would take. They were the ideal age, and they would be perfect for what he had in mind. Each one filled the needs he had, and they would be perfect.

He didn’t need one.

Two wouldn’t be enough.

No.

He needed three.

Everything had to be in threes in order to work. The spells, the magick, and the blessings called for it. The slightest aberration would prove his downfall. When it came down to it, there was very little room for error.

He needed this in the worst way, so he would give the deities exactly what they wanted. If he wanted the reward, he had no other choice but to do it.

He didn’t have any other option.

If he didn't take them, bleed them, and cast the spell, then he’d have no way to get what he so desperately needed.

Love.

So, his mind was made up.

He was doing this.

As he watched the first girl heading his way, he knew she would be perfect for this kind of ‘thing’. A little part of him felt horrible that he was going to do this to her. She was innocent, sweet, and didn’t deserve to be his sacrifice. Deep down, to the darkest corner of his soul, he knew that he was doing something horribly wrong.

Still...

He couldn’t stop.

This was the only way to get the outcome he needed.

If there was some other way, he would have pursued it, and taken that route. Only, there wasn’t. What it came down to was his desires and longings. What mattered most was that he was lonely, and he couldn’t continue on like this.

Without this spell, which he’d been given from some dusty old book, he’d never find happiness.
Three offerings were needed.

He had to make up his mind in that split second, and he couldn’t look back. Once it had begun, it needed to be completed, or it was all in vain.

If he took her, his life would forever change.

He was worried, but he believed that it would work. Part of the spell meant believing in it. Wasn’t that what she had told him?

So, he made the choice.

It was cast in stone in that moment, and fate would forever be altered to this path.

As the first girl cut through the trees, practically heading into his arms, he grabbed her. As she began struggling against him, he threw the saturated towel across her nose and mouth.

She struggled for a few more seconds, but then stopped. Number one went limp in his arms.

It was perfect.

She was out cold.

Dragging her to the trunk of his car, hidden not far in the woods, he bound and gagged her, in case she woke up. The last thing he needed was for her to wake up and cause hell.
That wouldn’t do.

As soon as she was safely tucked inside the trunk, along with the tools he would later need, he went back to work.

There were still two more needed, and he had to get them before the day was over.

Tonight, the spell would happen, and the offering would be made in blood—their blood.

As he sat waiting, he began worrying about the line he had crossed, and what he’d just done. If caught, his life was going to end.

He was going to jail for abduction and then murder. It was monumental, and it scared the shit out of him.

Then, to further build his resolve, he glanced down at his hand and the picture of the angel he wanted more than anything.

She was worth it.

He was doing this to get her.

She was lovely, smart, and he wanted her as his. That would take a miracle, and one hell of a spell.
When he glanced up, he saw the second girl heading his way. Unfortunately, she wasn’t alone. She was with a guy.

Shit!

This wouldn’t do at all. He’d handpicked her for so many reasons, and if he had to take a substitute, it wouldn’t be the same. He had his reasons why she’d be perfect for this.

He needed him to walk away.

Closing his eyes, he began muttering a string of words he didn’t really understand. Hopefully, they were some incantation from the pages of the book. It just might be his miracle.

He finished his whispered words, and when he opened his eyes, the boy was giving her a sweet kiss goodbye.

It had worked!

Who knew he was so powerful?

Had he known that black magic worked so well, he would have dabbled in it earlier.
He was going to be fine! Now that he had this on his side, there was no reason to worry.
It helped him get over his fears.

Now he was ready.

Dousing the next rag, he waited. When the sexy girl waved enticingly at her companion, right before walking away, he knew he chose well.

She was taking the path right toward him.

As she walked by his hiding place, he reached out, grabbing her by the long blonde hair.

She gasped.

There could be no wasted time.

Yanking her roughly into the woods, she had no choice but to go with him. Her yelp was the only sound he heard.

Without missing a beat, he slapped the cloth over her mouth and nose, forcing her to breathe in the sickly sweet concoction.

She struggled.

She fought.

This one was a wildcat, and he didn’t mind in the least. The better the prey, than the stronger the spell.

Right?

Slowly, the fight began leaving her. As she stared up at him with brilliant blue eyes, he thought about the angel in the picture. She would be his.

He could tell.

After all this, he had to have her.

When the girl ceased struggling, he tossed her over his shoulder to begin the short trek to his vehicle. Once there, he placed her inside with the first girl.

As she landed with a thud, they both moaned. He waited a few seconds to make sure they were out cold. When neither girl moved, he felt secure enough to get back to the task at hand.

Gathering his girls.
Preparing for the spell.
Securing his future.

Closing the trunk of the car, he refused to let remorse settle in. If he was going to do this, he couldn’t worry about their lives, and what was going to happen to them.

He couldn’t worry if their families would mourn their disappearances.

If he let that small worm of pity in, he knew what would happen—he’d start to care.

No, that couldn’t be allowed.

Taking a deep breath, he forced himself to stop giving a damn.

His happiness mattered.

For once, he wanted to come first.

He didn’t want to be that screw up who never found the one. Instead, he wanted to be the ‘good’ one. It was always what he craved.

It was important, and he needed to focus on that. Today, it was about reaching out and taking what was his.

Happiness.
Love.
The sweet angel.

Heading back to the perfect spot, he was getting edgy. He wanted to get the hell out of there, and fast.
His only goal at that point was to finish this once and for all, so he could move on with his life.
Seeing the last one, he became excited. He knew for a fact that she had to be a virgin.

Wasn’t that something black magic wanted?

He wasn’t sure, but if it was, he had scored.

She was a total nerd. There were the glasses, the book-laden bag, and the uncool clothing. She looked like some mad scientist who had just escaped from the lab.

And there was number three, heading right toward him. This had been way too easy.
Once she was in his grasp, he was officially done. This had been the hard part. What was to come…he had no idea.

As soon as she entered the path, he grabbed her. Only, she sprayed him with pepper spray and tried to escape back onto the trail that led to freedom.

It enraged him.
It infuriated him.
It made him so angry that she’d seen his face.

As he chased her, she couldn’t outrun him. Her wails for help only made him angrier. If someone heard her, he was screwed.

He couldn’t let that happen.

Right before she cleared the trees, he was on her. She was no match for him, and for that, he was grateful.

She was smaller and scared. This tiny woman was like a deer running from a hunter, and she wasn’t going to escape. He was too close to getting what he wanted.

As he pinned her petite body to the ground, she fought with everything she had.
He fought harder.

After all, he wanted it more.

As she was trapped, she began to whimper from behind his hand.

“If you scream, I’ll hurt you,” he hissed in warning into her ear.

“I won’t tell anyone what you did,” she whispered, as soon as his hand was free from her mouth.

“Please, just let me go. We can forget this ever happened.”

That was a lie, and he knew it. There was no way he could let her leave.

Not now.
Not ever.

He laughed as he pulled the soaked rag out of his pocket. “Are you a virgin?” he asked.
Either way, he had to have her for his spell.

“Yes.”

“Good.”

With that, he shoved the rag roughly across her face and counted to thirty. When her eyes rolled into her head, he kept the rag in place—just to be sure.

Cautiously, he scooped her up. It pained him that she was going to die. After all, she was a sweet kid, and she was kind of pretty beneath the nerdy veneer.

Well, he didn't have a choice now.

She saw him.

She had to die.

For a few seconds, she stirred his emotions and body, but it couldn’t happen.

He’d take her blood and hide her remains.
It’s just how it had to be.
He had no choice.

He was going to make a deal with the devil, and in exchange, he was finally going to have love.

Five Years Later

He was finally happy.

The initial spell had been well worth it. After he’d offered the sacrifice, spilled their blood, and spoke the words, he’d gotten his wish, and it was perfect. This peace was all he ever wanted in life.

It’s all he ever needed.

For the last five years, he’d been content.

Only, now he had a huge problem.

Until that moment, he didn’t know there had been a catch to the whole thing. He never suspected that he was going to have to pay in the future for his sins of the past.

Honestly, he never thought this would work, so he never thought about what he’d have to do in order to keep the spell ‘fresh’.

Unfortunately, more blood needed to be spilled. He was going to have to make another sacrifice.

He needed to offer up the blood of three women every five years in order to be virile, strong, and keep the woman he loved. If not, the spell would die, and so would his blessings.

So, he was trapped.

There was no way he could keep her if he didn't do it. There was no way he was man enough to make her stay. With the death of the first three, he was able to hide in plain sight, but now he was forced to relive it, risking being caught.

This was the fear that his nightmares were made of each night. Then and there, he knew that he was a horrible human being for even taking that path.

Still, he was planning to do it again.

Knowing how lucky he got the first time, he chose the same hunting ground. He’d gotten lucky five years ago, and his good fortune held up once more.

After he chose them, he kept them drugged and in his trunk until the witching hour. That was when he would use the spell to gain his power.

At the quickly approaching midnight, he would start the ritual, but first he had to prep them.
They needed to be set up in just the right spots.

Stripping and tying them to the benches, he felt horrible. If anyone found out about this, he was in so much trouble. The only one who knew, other than himself, was his woman.

She liked his power.

She wanted him strong.

That was what kept her with him.

If he lost her, he didn’t know what he would do. So he needed to carry on with his spell. Then, now, and even in the future, he was stuck on this track.

As they stared up at him with wide, scared eyes, he knew it was time.

“I’m so sorry,” he muttered.

Then, he drew the knife across each of their jugulars. The quick gasp of pain, followed by the gurgle of life leaving them filled the silence of the night.

Their end was there.

In it, he would find life, happiness, and peace. He would never forget their sacrifice.

How could he?

They had saved him, giving him love that he wouldn’t have without their offering.
With the blood dripping onto the plastic lined ground, he drew the symbols in the book on his victims, and then on his own torso.

With each kiss of his finger to his flesh, he felt more and more powerful. As the copper scented blood left a trail across his skin, in his head, he was already casting the spell.

For love.
For power.
For strength.

He wanted it so damn bad. In his life, he never wanted anything more.

When the three girls had bled dry, he slowly dumped the blood over him, letting it coat his body. The symbols disappeared, and he felt the spell being cast.

She was right.

It was working.

When he opened his eyes, he saw the carnage.

He was a killer, but he was trapped between what he had and what he could lose.

“It’s done,” he whispered. “I’m good for another five years.”

Then he heard his own words, and he wept.

Are you ready for more books?

Happy Hump Day all!

It's the start of my midweek, and I'm here to give you all another book to add to the collection!
It's preorder day for Blood Shall Run, the 15th book in the FBI series. I swear you just had book 13 and 14...

Because you did!!!
I hope you really enjoyed them. The reviews were good, but they didn't get as many as I though they would. So, if you can, before you check out the next FBI book on Amazon, can you drop me a little review or two?

I would appreciate it.
Anyway... on to new business.

Here is the preoder link to get Blood shall run.

I hope you enjoy it when it comes out. I had fun writing it. Here's the description.

The oddest things happen in New Orleans when the sun goes down. It’s not all partying and flashing for beads.
This case is going to be proof of it.

Elizabeth Blackhawk has left FBI West with a new career in front of her. She’s opted to work in the field and leave the directing to fall on those who can stomach it. With Ethan’s promotion to Deputy Director, she has even more on her plate—wife, mother, partner, and full time seeker of justice. Coming back home means that she’s going to be heading up the violent crimes team out of Quantico, and if this case is any indication, it’s going to be one hell of a ride.

But she’s ready.

Maybe…

Handpicked, already trained, and itching to hit the ground running, her team is prepared for their first big case. With her partner, Callen Whitefox, at her side and Christopher Leonard back, nothing can stop her.

Right?

But is Chris over the trauma that has forever changed his life? Is he holding it together, ready to break at any moment? Can she count on him when she needs him most?

Only time, and this case, will tell.

Heading to The French Quarter sounds like fun, until the team is stuck in the middle of a madman’s killing spree. Blood, Voodoo, hexes, and more have the team struggling to stay on their toes against someone who must  kill to live. It’s his will to survive versus their will to save the innocent, and it’s going to be a bloody battle to the end.

It’s a grudge match that’s bound to get down and dirty in The Big Easy.

It’s a life for a life in the race against the clock to save not only the victims of his crimes, but also the team.

Will their run be over just as it’s beginning?

Can Elizabeth Blackhawk hold up under the weight of all the responsibility as she matches wits with someone so sick, twisted, and sadistic that it might be her own end?

Will coming home be the death of her as Blood Shall Run?

There you go! It'll be out before you know it! June 10th is the big day! Reserve your copy, of if you use the Kindle Unlimited program, mark it on your calendars!

The fun is coming!!!

Again, much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan.

So?

How did you like it?

By now, most of you have finished the final Croft book.

Did I do it justice? Was it one hell of a ride? I really hope so. It was an emotional book to write, and I know I left a few things hanging at the end, but I promise they will all be resolved in the first book in the new series.

Cross my heart...

Thank you all for the reviews, comments, emails, and posts on FB. I appreciate each and every one. Hearing from you, the reader, is always important to me. I can't do what I do, unless I have you guys giving me feedback.

So, once again, if you haven't left a review, please do. Each and everyone matters. They give me a direction of how to take the next book, or if I've simply lost my damn mind and need to reel it back in before the train goes off the tracks.

Next month is Haven of Nightmares, the next Littlemoon book. I can't wait for you to read it. There are more spooks, more bumps in the night, and you're going to learn more about Roman Remington, and what chases his life.

It's going to be an interesting ride!
I can promise you that.
Bethany and Trey are back, and they're up to their old antics. So, be ready! It's coming soon!

In April, I'll be going on hiatus for six weeks, but I'll try to get to my computer to keep you all updated. I have to have back surgery, so I'll be plotting everything from recovery on my couch.

Keep loving!
And remember....

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

MK

The final Croft book is here!

Well, it was bound to happen.
This journey has come to an end. It's a bittersweet day for me. We're at the end of the Croft & Croft series. Today, the book goes live.

I hope you love it and like the direction I've taken it in. (fingers crossed)

Here's the link to buy the ebook

Here's the link for the paperback.

I hope you enjoy them!!! Don't forget to leave a review!!!!!

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan.

Release day is coming!

Morning all!

I'm heading into the office this morning to start working on the new Croft series, and I realized that tomorrow there's another release!

The final Croft & Croft book, Justice is Dead, will be out. I hope you all enjoy it! It's going to take you for one heck of  ride! I can promise that!

Pop back in here tomorrow for the links!

I hope you've all enjoyed the last two FBI books. I loved writing them. I'm excited to get back to them. I've finished book 15, Blood shall Run, and it's been edited and is now with proofing. It's going to be Merry's story. You're going to meet Detective Boone Savage in New Orleans (one of my favorite cities on earth) and their love story will begin.

You're also going to see how difficult the move across the country is going to be. Ethan's been promoted, Elizabeth has her own division, and Callen's started a new career. There are going to be some bumps in the road, a little bit of chaos, and some jealousy thrown in.

What happens when the team isn't the same team it once was when it left FBI West?

You'll find out.

Now I'm grabbing my coffee, hitting the laptop to format the next Croft book, and letting it rip. Wish me luck! I hope I do you all proud!!!

See you tomorrow for a new book.

Much love, mayhem, and murder.

It's the weekend!

Hey, all!

Just checking in to see how all of you enjoyed the next two FBI books.

Did you enjoy the flashback book, Past will Haunt, and the followup book Choices will Destroy?

I hope so!

I'm contemplating another flashback next February with Elizabeth as Miss Kitty. Everyone always asks me for a back story on her, so I think you're going to get it. Again, in honor of Valentine's Day, I'll do a double book release for the month. You'll get the flashback, and then you'll get the present day book.

I think this time, we're going to learn about Tony Magnus when he joined the team. So, you'll have Lyzee, Chris, Tony, and of course I'll slip Ethan into the mix. We'll see how he's doing out on his own, and how the FBI began making him into that dark, obsessed agent that he was when Elizabeth met him.

I've just wrapped the next Vamp book. Book 5 and 6 will be out this November and December. They're off my book To Do list, so I can move on to the next novel. I'm starting Oracle Seeing ~ Book 2 on Monday.

I can't wait.

I love writing the Oracle and Littlemoon books, because I can wing them. I sit, tell the story, and that's it. There's not a lot of forensics in them, and while I love me some science, I don't always like the research! It's very time consuming.

So, after the Oracle book, I'm going to be writing the new Justice series. In March, you'll be getting your hands on the final Croft & Croft book. I've opted to end the series, but not for good. I wanted to take it into a new direction. The characters tell their own story. I just put it down on paper. If you want to see the covers, go to the tab above and click on the Justice series. I have the first 10 covers done, and each one coincides with someone in the family. You'll understand more after you read the final book, Justice is Dead in March.

I love Greyson Croft. He's modeled after my husband, Victor, and if you follow me on FB, or are on my private page, you know he's totally my caveman.

Here's my Facebook page if you're on FB and want to friend me. I sometimes throw out some hints, tidbits, or clues as to what's coming. This is the page where I get to be me. This is where Morgan Kelley behaves badly. (Kidding. Maybe)

Here's my fan page on FB

If you haven't read the newest releases...catch up! It's going to be a wild ride! The rest of the year is packed with books. There are 9 more books to come! I hope you stick around for the fun!

And again...thank you to everyone who took the time to leave a review. They're very important to us Indie authors. We're competing with powerful publishing houses, and it's not easy to get Amazon's attention. Each review matters, plus it lets me know if I'm doing my job.

Please show me some love :)

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan.

Happy Valentine's day!

From me to you...

                                     Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Much Love, murder, and mayhem,

Morgan.
