Ahhhh... Happy Hump Day.

It's the middle of the week, and everyone that's popping into the blog is wondering the same thing.

Will there be an early release of Devil Hath Come?
I believe the answer to that is yes.

Currently, the editor is up to chapter sixteen with the final proofing, and that means in 4 chapters, it shall be done.
Whew!
Once it's finished, it will be on its way.

I really hope that you all love it. If you've been following the series from book one, you should be pleased. (Or at least I hope so!)

For today, I'm going to answer the question that I am most frequently asked.

Morgan,
You get a lot of crap about the threesome. Wouldn't it be easier to just kill off one of the men and make everyone happy?
Deveraux

Ah, alas, this question. I've been saving it, since it is now very apropos.
To be honest, it would be easier, but I doubt that everyone would be happy. It would cut back on the nasty reviews, the hate filled emails and the general BS that I get over having two brothers share a woman.
Unfortunately, for those that know me personally, rarely do I take the easy road in life. (Much to my mother's chagrin.)
Now, before you draw conclusions, I'm not confirming one way or another if someone dies in this book. I know there has been this 'Team Ethan' and 'Team Callen' mentality on some of the blogs, where people are betting who I kill off,  and everyone will just have to wait.

Maybe I do it, maybe I don't.

I will say that between Devil Hath Come (book 7) and Consumed by Wrath (book 8), Elizabeth is going to lose someone that she loves very much. (As in dead, not missing) I really can't say more because the book isn't out yet, and book 8 isn't written. A lot can happen as I sit down to pen a novel, so your guess may be as good as mine.

*wink*

I'm generally a big believer in happily ever after, so I will warn you that Devil Hath Come will not have closure at the end. There will be tears, 'what if's' and much change coming. I'm asking you to bear with me, and trust me to wrap it up by the next book. It's like True Love Lost (book three). Coming out of it, we knew that Callen was destined for something more, and it took a book or two to start his path.
This novel is going to be the same.

With these storylines, and 540 pages (at last count), I need a little wiggle room to tell the tale. I honestly feel that if I wrapped it up at the end of each book, it would feel rushed and artificial. So, I'm asking for a little latitude.

I also promise no cheap tricks.

I won't kill anyone off to have it be some secret FBI mission where they had to disappear. To me, that seems cheesy and a cop out. In my books, if you're on the chopping block, you're heading to the grave.

In this book, I also am going to answer another of your questions.

What about Christina and Kane Redwolf?

I brought them together at the end of Darkness of Truth (book 6) and you'll find out her fate too. I will tell you that her tale as part of FBI West is coming to an end...

There is so much coming in this book and Consumed by Wrath (book 8). I hope you buckle in, grab your tissues and still love me when you're done. (That's for my Rachel, who has threatened to not love me anymore if I kill off Ethan) *Wink*

It's going to be an interesting Halloween for Elizabeth, Ethan and Callen.

I hope you're all ready to get your 'scare' on....

Much Love, Mayhem and Murder,

Morgan.

P.S.
A little birdy tells me that there may or may not be a full posting of Devil Hath Come's prologue tomorrow...
Just in time for the book to be released Friday or Saturday.

 Enjoy!
