Hey all!

Just stopping in to update you on what's happening in Morgan's world.

I'm almost 2/3 of the way through the next Littlemoon book, and I'm enjoying it! It's always fun to switch it up between books and heroines. You have Elizabeth Blackhawk, who is very in your face, and then Emma Croft, who is all about her man. Then you pop into Tori Littlemoon's world, and you have that tough woman on the outside, but that vulnerability inside.

It's non-stop fun.

I truly love my job and am blessed.

So, what's going on in the Morgan front? Well, today I was approached by a publisher, asking to carry my books. They made me promises of increased sales, more people recognizing my name, and an a team of people to help with my books. They wanted to rebrand me, make me important, and help me reach my potential.

I turned them down.
I think, that in this day and age, with so many Indie authors out there, they expected me to jump on the bandwagon.
Well, that's first and foremost, not my style.
Secondly, I don't do this for the money. I do it because i believe everyone has that one thing they're good at, and mine is storytelling.
Lastly, what turned me off so much is how they said I would make more money.

How? By jacking up my prices from 3.99 to 9.99 a book.
They would then take their percent off the top, and i would get rich.

No thank you.

I don't do this to get rich. I know i keep saying this, and it's like the more i put it out there, the more the universe tries to test me. Plain and simple, I do this because the voices in my head need their story to be told. I'm a firm believer that I'd rather have enough to get by than more than i need with all the problems that go with it.

Somethings matter more than money.
Like people.

Speaking of which...

I have an excellent team. Rachel is funny, she keeps me grounded, and she's become more than someone who reads my work. She's my friend.
I feel the same about Laura. She's smart, sweet, and a genuinely good person. In a world where people will sell you out, I'd rather have people i like working with me than money. I have a roof over my head, a vehicle that runs, my family is healthy, and i am happy.

Too many times, authors sell their souls for a price that's going to cost them more in the end. This is a tough gig, and to survive in the book market, you have to have a thick skin, know who to trust, and keep writing.

So, know that i appreciate each and every one of you.
I love your dedication and how you are my fan base. I wouldn't trade you for a six figure book deal, or some flashy title on my book covers. No, I'm not a NYTimes best selling author, and one day...who knows. I may meet that milestone too, but for now...

Amazon Best seller will have to do.

Much Love, Mayhem, and Murder,

Morgan.

It's Monday again!

I hope you all had a great weekend!

I enjoyed the fall weather and worked on some home renovations, but now it's time to get back to the grind.

I start writing the final Croft book later this week. Justice is Dead is going to wrap up the Croft and Croft series. I'm going to spin it off to the Dark Justice series. Don't panic.
I promise Greyson, Emma, Curtis, and some of the other characters will be moving to a new series. None of them are dying.
(I've had emails with panicked readers.)

I've opted to put a spin on this series. The Crofts are now the most powerful people in the city. What will they do with that power?
Can Greyson stay sterling, or is the saying true?

Absolute power corrupts absolutely?

We will find out.
The final book will tie up all the loose ends, answer the questions, and get you ready for a different kind of justice.

I promise you'll enjoy it. He's still going to be up to his Croft-y antics, and so will his family.

Buckle up. When Croft and Dimitri Gideon team up, Vegas will never be the same again.

I've gotten so many emails from you, the readers, about Hell is Burning. I'm glad you loved it! Don't forget to leave a review!

By now you've read the Littlemoon book. I hope Truth is Found made you laugh, cry, yell, and feel a million emotions. I love writing those books because they're fun. In fact, the next book, Haven of Nightmares, is on my schedule for the end of this month. I'll be writing it for Halloween.

We're going to meet more of Mr. Remmington and learn his back story. I can't wait! We know he doesn't have a gift or does he???????

We'll find out.

If possible, pop on over to Amazon and leave a review for Truth is Found! Amazon won't promote, and most blog tour companies won't either, without a minimum of reviews!

Have a great month of October!
I'll check in for Halloween (If i finish the book!)

Much love, mayhem,and murder.

Morgan.

Happy Friday!!!

Morning all!

It's been a crazy month since the last book released, and I'm popping in to give you all an update in what's coming soon!

Next Friday, there will be another release. The next Littlemoon book, Truth is Found is releasing. We're going to find out how life has changed after the accident, who was hurt, and also what Tori's life is like now with Bethany haunting her head.

We're also going to meet Nyx Nightingale. She's going to be important to the book, and also to Beau Christensen. I can't wait for you to read their story.

Also, Next month, Slay Bells Ring, the 12th book in the FBI series is releasing. I opted to release it for November because I know how busy we all get in December. It's going to be the changing point in the series. When you read it, it's going to set the stage for the double book in February. After book 14, everything is going to change.

Now, don't worry. I didn't kill any of the main characters off, but I am turning the world upside down and making a big change in the books. I felt that after 14 books, I needed to. I want you to always enjoy the books, and this is going to keep them fresh and fun. Plus, everyone always asks for Gabe and Livy's story.
Well...ask and you shall receive!
Books 13 and 14 are all theirs.

I hope you love them as much as I do!

If you haven't preordered, here are the links. Next month, Oracle will be available for release in January!

Happy Friday!

Good morning!
I hope you are all having a great week!
TGIF!
I'll be working all weekend, but I hope everyone who is off can get some fun in and enjoy the beautiful fall weather!

I also hope that everyone has enjoyed Hell is Burning.
Did I surprise and catch you all off guard by chapter one? I hope so! I had so much fun writing that book. I gasped, laughed, and cried--a lot. It was one heck of a ride.

I've gotten some great feedback in the way of reviews and emails. I'm glad you all liked it. I can't promise that no one else is dying in the last book of the series. I will say that the main characters will be moving on to the next book.

Who do I consider main characters?
Emma
Greyson
Curtis
Chris Ford
Dimitri
and Dante.

Rest assured, they are safe. As for the rest...I can't answer that because i haven't written the book yet. There is one more character that may go, but I won't know that until later when I'm working on the story.
So, we'll all have to wait and see :)

The next Littlemoon book is coming out the first Friday of October, and the next FBI book will be out the first week of November--just in time for Christmas. So, be ready!
They're available for presale, so get your copies today.

If you haven't left a review, please do! I love hearing how I've done!

Happy Weekend!

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan.

Hell is Burning

Morning all!

Today is the day!
The second to the last book in the Croft & Croft series is here!

I know I've received a lot of emails and comments about what happens next, and you're about to find out.
In Heaven is Weeping, we left Greyson in a mess. His inner circle was falling apart, Randall Mason was dead, and Dominic Marianna wanted his head on a silver platter.
Curtis left.

It shocked all of you, and now you're going to see the fall out over the next two books. In Hell is Burning, you'll see the personal mayhem that Greyson's choices has caused.

In Justice is Dead (Out next year) you'll see the conclusion of this journey. Fear not! It won't be over. Greyson and Emma have a long story to tell, but they needed a little change of venue.

Well, it's coming.

I hope you all enjoy the story, and buckle up. It's going to be one hell of a ride from here on out. Trust me.
You didn't see this coming...

Much love, mayhem, and murder...

Morgan.

PS. Please don't forget to leave a review. I need them in order to do my job. :)

Happy Monday!

Hello, Everyone!
Sorry that I've been MIA, but I'm technically still on vacation :) I wrapped the last two FBI Books, and I'm getting ready for the kiddos to start school tomorrow. As you can imagine, it's chaos here. Cyber school is very time consuming, especially when you have a 6 year old. My daughter, who is 13, rocks it out on her own. Alex is a whole other story.

But enough about me!

There's a Croft book coming Friday! YAY! I hope you're excited. I know I am!
It's the prequel to the final book in the series. In it, I'm going to answer a lot of questions, and the Crofts are going to find out who the corrupter is :)
I can't wait!

So, make sure you grab your copy! I'll post the links here on Friday for anyone who has not preordered their copy.

Also, Dangerous Retaliation released last month. Thank you so much for making it a success! If it's not too much trouble, can you leave a review? I know more than 2 of you read it, but that's all the reviews it's gotten. If i don't get more, i have to assume you hate the series, and I'm going to end it. With all the books i release a year, i can drop two from the rotation if my readers aren't interested in it. Your reviews are the only way I know how you feel.

So,.. can you pop out to amazon and help an Indie out?

SO much is coming in the next few months!

September is-- Hell is Burning
October is --Truth is Found
November is -- Slay Bells Ring (book 12 in the FBI series)
December is -- The final Anthology-Holiday Reinforcements
January is-- Oracle Rising
February is-- Past will Haunt & a second book Choices will Destroy (900+ FBI pages)

They're all done, edited, and ready to go. So, you've got some reading (and reviewing) to do! Starting tomorrow, I'm back to work, and I'll be working on the final Croft book-- Justice is Dead  I can promise it's going to be explosive, Greyson Croft is going to blow Vegas up.

It's going to be epic :)

Well, have a great work week!

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan

Truth is Found

Morning all!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been buried in work. I'm getting ready to wrap up my work year in August, so I've had to keep my nose to the grindstone.
So much is going on, but one of the most exciting things is that Truth is Found is available for preorder. It's releasing on October 2, and you'll have the opportunity to preorder here

I enjoyed this book a lot. I laughed so much as I was writing it. Julian and Bethany crack me up! If you read the synopsis on Amazon, it does give away some hint of what's coming. In Unthinkable Games, it ended with Julian getting a call about Tori and the ladies in a car accident.

I hated leaving you all in a cliffhanger, so I've teased the outcome in the next book synopsis. You'll know what happened before you even read the book. If you don't want to know, don't read the details on the Amazon page.

I hope you enjoy it!!!

August is about here, and that means the next vampyre book will be released soon. I hope you enjoy it!!! Dangerous Retaliation is heading your way!

Have a great week!

Email me your questions or comments! I will reply!

Hello, Friday!

Another week is wrapped!
It's been a crazy one. I've just started working on book 13 in the FBI series, Past will Haunt, and it's going to be fun. It's going to be a smaller book, and we're going back in time to see how Elizabeth gets her start. We'll watch Livy Spencer and Gabriel Rothschild start their story.

THEN...

We're going back to present day in book 14, Choices will Destroy.
If you've read the FBI series, you know that in book three, Elizabeth admits to her husband that she's killed someone. The Irish Boston Butcher was the case, and Livy was the prey. It's always been the stain on her life, and we're going to watch it unfold.

Apparently, he's back, and he's got a score to settle, but how?
She killed him.
Didn't she?
Now no one is safe, including Livy and Gabe.

Buckle up! It's going to be one heck of a ride.
Everyone always emails me, begging for Gabe's story. They want to know all about him, his life, and how it started, so here it is. You've got to be wondering how I'm doing a book about Livy and Gabe, and not including Elizabeth and Ethan fifteen years ago.
Well, they're in there too.

It'll be fun to watch them just miss each other, time after time, him catching a whiff of her perfume, seeing his handwriting, and never knowing that in about ten years, they're going to meet. He's just starting out as a profiler, and she's building her bad-ass rep as a balls to the walls investigator.

You're also going to find out why Elizabeth and Christopher Leonard are so close. We're going to meet the doctor before he was the best in the business, when he was just starting out. Their lives, as we know them, are just beginning in the FBI. You'll see him at his most vulnerable, and as he decides if this job is really meant for him.

It's going to be fun.

So, I hope you're going to be ready this Valentine's Day. You're getting two FBI books a day apart. The first book is going to be a little shorter, and more to catch everyone up for book 14. I promise it will have excitement, laughter, and answer all the questions i left hanging.

I can't wait!

Happy Friday, all!

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan.

TGIF!

Thank God it's Friday!

It's always rough coming back from vacation, but I managed to get this week under my belt.
A week ago Pledging to Die was released, and it was a huge hit! It's still on Amazon's top 100, and I couldn't be prouder!

Thank you all!

You're the best fans in the world! I'm convinced of it. For those of you who emailed me this week, thank you for your kind words. For those of you who left reviews, YOU'RE THE BEST!
If you haven't left a review for Sinner Reborn, or Pledging to Die, please do so!

With the new ranking system Amazon is implementing, it's going to be harder for Independent authors to compete. Every single review now counts more than before. Scroll through, like the ones you think are good reviews, and leave a few words of your own. I would really appreciate it. :)

Now, let's get the weekend started. A few more hours, and I can put the laptop away and can play in my garden.

Have a great weekend!!!!

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

MK .

Blood Red Rage

Happy Thursday!

Tomorrow is release day for Pledging to Die!
You should have it on your kindles when you wake up! If you didn't order, I'll post the link here.

Someone left a message about the order to read my books, and it never even occured to me to put the timeline down for you. The series can be read one at a time, or you can mix them together at certain points.

I'll post my reply to the message, so you can see where you can add the other series in.

Start with the FBI Series.

The Killing Times
Sacred Burial Grounds
True Love Lost
Deep Dark Mire
Fire Burns Hot
Darkness of Truth

(Now you can start the Littlemoon books--Tori and Julian have had their story)-- Blood Red Rage, Lost & Broken, Unthinkable Games, Truth is Found-

(You can start to add in the Carter Chronicles any time after here. You'll Meet Callista Gaines and her story will run parallel.)--Sinner Repent

Devil Hath Come

Consumed by Wrath

Redemption is Here
Dead Shall Speak  (Add more of the Carter Chronicle--Sinner Realized and Sinner Reborn)
Pledging To Die
(Now you can add in the Croft & Croft Series) --Celestia is Falling, Vegas is Dying, Christmas is Killing, Love is Bleeding, Heaven is Weeping, Hell is Burning--

Slay Bells Ring--
(Oracle series --Must be read after the Carter Chronicle Series)

Choices will Destroy

The Dangerous Series (It's my paranormal Vamp series can be read at any time. It doesn't cross over like the other 4 book series. It's like no vamp series you've ever read before! )

I hope this helps. They don't have to be read in this order. You can read one whole series, and then the next, as long as you read the FBI series first. That's the back bone of all my books :)

Have a nice 4th of July everyone!

Don't forget to leave lots of reviews!!!!!

Much love, mayhem, and murder, Morgan

Hump day!

Howdy all!

I'm still on vacation, but I've received a few emails that were concerning. A lot of you are worried about the new Amazon payments that have been all over FB. It's not really going to interfere with any of your reading.
I know a lot of you use Kindle Unlimited--where you pay 9.99 a month for unlimited downloads. The only way this interferes with your reading is if your authors pull out of KU and stop using it.

I promise my books will still be available for all of you. A lot of authors are pulling out, angry that Amazon is now paying per page read. I'm not. I believe in my books, and i know my fans are loyal. I know you all read to the very end.
For that, I'm grateful.
I don't do this for the money. I'm blessed, and this is my way of paying some of it forward. I refuse to gouge anyone for a book, so I've opted to say with amazon's KU plan. My books will be free for many of you if you subscribe.

Reading shouldn't be so expensive that you can't afford it. I've promised that if people read my books, I'd keep it affordable. I hate paying 10.00 a kindle book. It's painful, and i usually won't do it, so how can I charge crazy amounts for my books?
I won't.
My books will be between 2.99 and 3.99 and free on Kindle Unlimited. I won't be doing chapter novels where you get one hundred pages, and I call it a book. NEVER. Nothing is changing. I love a big fat book, so I promise to keep delivering. If you keep reading, I'll keep writing. That's all there is to say about it. So, fear not, and don't forget...Pledging to Die is out in paperback here, and will be out this Friday on Kindle.

So be ready.
Elizabeth and the crew is back.
Buckle up.
It's going to be one heck of a ride.

Hell is Burning!

Morning all!

Happy Monday from vacationville!
I'm on week two of hiatus and it's been an experience! That's for damn sure!

I'm popping in to let you know that Hell is Burning (book 6) of the Croft & Croft Series is now up for presale. It'll be out the first Friday in September, and I hope you love it.
The book got rave reviews from the team, and it's the second to last book in the series. I hope it keeps you on the edge of your seat!

I promise you'll be biting your nails!
Someone dies.
The corrupter is found.
The family comes back together again.

That's all I can tell you :)
Sorry! You'll have to wait until August, but it'll be well worth it! I swear!

Here's the link to pre-order. Remember, you don't get charged until the day it releases!

Have a great week!!!!!

PS. Don't forget that the newest FBI Book, Pledging to Die (Book 11) is out this friday! Don't forget to pick it up! You can get it here!

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan.

Next week...

Morning all!

Greetings from my vacation!

I just popped in to say hi, and to remind you that there's a book release next week!
The day before the holiday, Pledging to Die will be out. I can't wait for you to read it! I've started the journey between Broderick Seaton and Johanna Madden. You're going to get to read about their romance.
It's a rocky one!
But as always, it'll work out in the end. You'll see their happy ever after in Slay Bells Ring. Nothing says Christmas like murder!

I'm back from hiatus at the end of July, so I'll be diving back into writing. The first book up will be Past will Haunt (13). It's a smaller book, but it'll give you an insight into Lyzee's life before Ethan Blackhawk. We're going back in time for Gabe and Livy's story. We're going to meet a young Elizabeth who is just starting out as a Fed, and her partner Livy. The Boston Butcher is running amuck, and they have to stop him.

I get asked all the time to write that book, so I'm giving you their past, and their present in one month. I'll be releasing that book around Valentine's Day, and the followup book two days later. So, you won't have to wait 6 months to find out what happens. In Choices shall Destroy (14) you're going to see what happens when you break the rules.
Karma is a bitch.
And no one is immune, including Elizabeth Blackhawk.

After that, I'll be working on the final Croft & Croft Book Justice is Dead   I'm wrapping that series, and spinning it off into something darker, more dangerous, and Bruce Wayne-esque. Think fallen Fed with lots of money, and a need to find justice for those who fall under the wheels of justice.

I can't wait to start that series.

I hope you're all enjoying your summer!

If you haven't left a review for Sinner Reborn, please pop on out to Amazon and do it! I need to know how you liked the final book. I've written Oracle Rising, and i have time to adjust it if you all hated it!

Much love, Mayhem, and Murder,

Morgan.

Oracle Rising

Morning all!

Just popping in to update you on my newest project.
Oracle Rising is on it's merry way. I'm about 190 pages into the book, and will be wrapping it up Saturday morning.
I'm excited.
I hope you are too!
We're going to meet Juliett and Rhett. Normally, characters we meet in my books become part of the team, but these two won't be. In this series, you're going to see Avalon, Nate, Maura, Luke, and Jagger helping people just like Oracle. That's their mission. So, you'll see a fast romance blossom between people, and then they're on their way.
This is new for me. I usually get attached to the characters, and I'm not saying i won't for this series, but the first book is going to be a little different.

By now, you've probably read Sinner Reborn.
How was it? I hope you enjoyed it. It was one of my favorite books to write. I love Avalon. She's unique, quirky, and you can't help but love her.
After you've read it, please leave a review on Amazon.com. Show me the love :)

Well, back to the grind. I have a deadline to meet, and then I'm on hiatus through the summer. I have lots of work coming up, and there's no rest for the wicked!

Much love, mayhem,and murder,

Morgan.

Pledging to Die ready for release.

Morning all!
I'm happy to say that the 11th FBI book, Pledging to Die is now ready to go. I've done the read through, and the team has approved it too.
So, as a sneak peak, I'm giving my Blog followers the first look.

I hope you enjoy it!

Prologue

It was all too easy.
Never was there a time where hunting down a victim and killing her was so stress free. This was almost a sin.

They made it as difficult as taking candy from babies.

From the shadows along the walkway, he watched, making sure that he disappeared into the darkness. Yes, it was time once more to take what was needed.

There was guilt, but what could he do?

Deep down, there was such need that nothing else would wash it away. It clung to him sickly, making all he touched tainted with the ugliness that he tried so hard to keep hidden.

He craved them.

The pretty party girls were the only way he could keep his head above water. They went to the fraternity to find something, and when they did, he also found something too.

It was copacetic.

They wanted to run wild behind the hallowed doors of the university. They drank, smoked, and fornicated like there was no tomorrow, and for some of them--there wasn’t.

First, he was going to steal their lives. When he was done, then he’d take something even more precious.

But alas, they shouldn’t fear. He was giving them immortality. The pretty girls in their harlot outfits were going to be offered so much more.

They were cherished.

This whole thing was a gift, and they were lucky.

The second his blade kissed their petal soft skin, they were marked as one of his. Not now, not tomorrow, but one day, they’d be remembered with such fondness for what they’d given.

Death.

In the end, he’d be remembered too.

He was salvation.

It obsessed him, and now it consumed them. There was no escaping it. With claws so vicious, it tethered him to the task at hand. He was helpless to escape it.

After all, he began all this, and he was prisoner to the lure. While they would be his victims, they weren’t alone. He was captive too. So much pulled him in that neither the logic, nor the guilt could set him free.

Nothing but death itself could release him from the hell on Earth that he had created.
For now, he had to keep going.

Someone had to do it.

Unfortunately, that someone was him.

The silence of the night was broken by the staggering footsteps of someone coming his way. He could hear her walking right toward the trap. There was very little hesitation as she stumbled through the shadows, unaware of what was coming.

Death was waiting.
Lurking.
Prowling.

In the darkness, it sat poised and ready to strike. By his hand, her life would come to an end. She’d be sacrificed for something so much bigger than she could ever understand.

God help his blackened soul, but she was precious to him, and he needed her.

As the footsteps paused, he carefully listened, making sure that no one was following behind her.
She had to be alone.

This would only work if no one followed.

If she had company, he would have to pack up and leave for the night. There could be no mistakes. If there were, it would all be ruined. Not only would there be jail, but there would also be the electric chair, and he knew it.

No, that couldn’t happen.

He’d take his life before he’d let anyone find the truth. Then he could live on forever too.
In all their memories, he’d still be there, lurking, saving, and doing what had to be done.
From his position, he couldn’t get a clear visual on her, but he could hear her.

She was vomiting.

He shook his head. Honestly, he wasn’t shocked at her being sick. Leaving Beta Phi Ti, their parties were notorious for boozing, drugging, and sexual exploits. Apparently, the university looked the other way, believing boys would be boys. No one complained, so no harm was done.

Until tonight.
Until now.

In a few minutes, there would be plenty of harm--to her.

When he heard the footsteps once more, seeing her off in the distance, he stepped closer to the edge of the shadows. Now he’d grab her while he could. The booze, drugs, and sexual haze would dull her senses, and she wouldn’t be able to fight. If he was lucky, she’d pass out in his arms.

Then the fun could begin.
Or was that continue?

He was already enjoying himself.

As for her, well, she’d already had plenty of fun and her appearance showed it. The skimpy skirt, barely covering her nether regions, was askew, she was wearing only one shoe, and her makeup was smeared from the evening’s conquests. It appeared that fun was had by all in the frat house.

Yes, she was well used.

And that was okay.

For what he had in mind, it didn't really matter. Sex, or a good time, wasn’t what he wanted from her. He didn't mind picking a slut fresh from the sexual frenzy, and that was obviously what had happened that night.

She had a purpose, and he had a job to do.

When she was up close, he could see the tears on her cheeks. It was clear that she was distressed.
There was guilt again as wave after wave of it rushed through him. This was wrong.

She was a nice girl.
She was someone’s child.
She was…his.

There could be no turning back, since the ends justified the means.

As she lurched toward the grass to vomit some more, he made his move. Quickly, he struck, taking her out with one blow to the back of the neck.

Immediately, she fell face down into the grass, her breathing labored. There was a sick gurgling as she began aspirating on her own vomit.

It was done.

Now he needed to get her taken care of, and fast.
Dragging her back into the shadows, he used the moonlight to do his business.

It was fast.
It was effective.
It was done.

Then he gave her the honor she deserved, dropping a kiss to the top of her head before he rolled her up in the generic blue tarp. He stole it from maintenance, and they’d never know it was gone. There was no way he could take her someplace else, especially with a campus full of partying and sleeping students.

It was far too daring and dangerous.

No, this would have to do.

When she was wrapped up, he knew it was time to move the body. Tomorrow, when her sorority sisters woke, she would be missing. As they entered her room to ask how much fun she had at the frat house, she wouldn’t be there to answer them. Her voice would no longer be heard.
She was gone.

There would be no trace.

There’d be no body.

Felicity Magliozzi was about to vanish from this world and the campus.

Dragging her through the trees, he did the unspeakable. He tossed her body, used, abused, and broken into the water. From here on out, the golf pond would hold his secret.

For all eternity.

Two Weeks Later

He’d waited long enough.

If he didn't move soon, it would eat away at him, making him a shell of a human being. There was the urge to take another one the night after he took Felicity, but he had to wait.

Bide his time.
Study the situation.

After all, that’s what you did at a university.

Now, he believed it would be safe, so tonight, there would be another one.
And when he was done, one more would follow her. It would keep going until he was done.

This was his calling.

He couldn’t stop. The pleasure afterward was just too much to turn away. He loved it.

He was greedy.
Vicious.
Evil.

And he couldn’t be stopped.

No one had even made mention of the missing girl. Yes, the campus police searched for her, and the fraternity was questioned, but then it was dropped. It was like no one cared if someone took one little lost lamb.

After all, she was only a slutty girl missing from the world. Her parents were the only ones who cared, and that had turned to ambivalence when they learned the truth.
Their daughter was nothing more than a party girl. See, her father had an influential job, and he didn't want it marred by speculation.

So, they were investigating, but quietly.

That amused him.

What did they hope to find?

He’d been very careful, almost mindful, as he made her disappear.

He took what he wanted from her partied out body, discarding the scraps. Yes, his hands on her were sloppy seconds, but that didn't matter.

He was okay with that.

In the grand scheme of it all, he’d let others have her first. After all, what he wanted with her was so much bigger.

Better.
More amazing.

Yes, he’d tolerate them smelling like booze and cheap sex, because in the end, she’d still be special--to him.

They all would.

After all, they were a gift--one which would be remembered forever.

Now, it was time to find another treasure. It wasn’t hard. The fraternity liked to party, and so did he. Only, he did what he wanted, breaking all the rules. The others… they were weak sheep, being led by sex and alcohol.

He wouldn’t be lured into that.

There were bigger goals in life. There was so much more outside the frat house, but they didn't get it. They couldn’t see the truth and how precious the women were.

But he did. He’d seen it first hand, and he was in love with what was available to all of them.
This next girl would give him that.

The opportunities would be bigger, greater, and even more alluring. All he had to do was pluck her from the slutty girl tree, and have his way with her body.

It was that simple.

Slowing his excited breathing, he listened to the footsteps. She was coming, and he couldn’t wait to get her under his body. Then he’d work his magic. With the last one, he didn't want her this badly, but he was losing control.

He could feel it.

Once he got his hands on her, then she’d be his to do whatever he wanted.

And he wanted a great deal from her…

When she tripped, dropped her keys, and then fumbled for them in the grass, he knew it was time.
Sneaking up behind her, his hands found her throat. As he yanked her off the path and into the darkness, he squeezed and squeezed, cutting off all her air.

She fought like a hellcat, but it didn't matter.

He loved every second of it. He was now in total control, and with that, he’d get the ultimate prize.

HER.

As the drunken girl’s nails sought the flesh of his arm, she was met with disappointment. He was well covered, and ready for any such attempt.

When he spun her around, there was recognition in her eyes, and he was pleased. She knew him. That made it even better that she saw what was coming.

In death, she’d know her assailant, and that gave him an even bigger rush of power.

“I’m sorry,” he whispered into her ear, as she slowly began to drift away. “You’re important, Veronica. I promise that you didn't die in vain. You’re special to me.”

She didn't hear him.

Already, her eyes were rolling up into her head as the sound of buzzing filled her ears. Blood flow was slowing as her oxygen was cut off.

She was dying.

He was stealing her life.

Her lips moved, whispering nothing into the darkness as her final plea for salvation was meant to be missed by all.

Then she was gone.

Veronica was now empty, and nothing more than a prissy, well-dressed vessel of dying organs and blood.

“I have to hurry,” he murmured, taking care of the most important parts first. He couldn’t get caught in the act, and that meant rushing through. In the shadows, his penlight in his mouth, he did it.

It was rushed, but he was satisfied. It was yet another successful job, and he was pleased.

The air reeked of sex, blood, and death. Yet, she didn't care, and neither did he.

She was a means to an end and a gift.

Now he needed to escape.

Wrapping her up, he dragged her weighted down corpse to the same pond as the last girl before dumping her in. He didn't even stick around to watch her sink. He knew she would because he was smart, clever, and wily.

Tomorrow, she too would be missing, but this time he was wiser. He did his research.
No one would miss her but some flighty, slutty sorority girls, and they didn't matter.

Not in the least.

For now, he got what he wanted, and that meant that it was time to escape into the night. There was another frat party in two days, and he was going to pick the next girl. While they all studied and slept, he’d be working on who would be next.

He’d listen to who they planned on accosting, and she’d be the one. They wouldn’t even notice him wandering around, and that made his job so much easier.

It was hard not to grin over how clever he was.

No one could stop him.

He was powerful.

Genius.

He was giving the world a gift.

One slut at a time.

Two Days Later

Veronica Libbey’s disappearance made too much noise. It stirred up the campus, terrorizing the women and co-eds. While he knew he should be afraid, he wasn’t.

This had to be done.

He had no choice.

If he lost his nerve now, so much would be ruined, and he couldn’t risk that.

There was something bigger urging him on, and that meant he had to keep going. Even though the prey was getting wiser, that didn't mean he wouldn’t have a chance to take her.
A part of him wanted to make the next one suffer for making his job that much harder, but he couldn’t be rash.

Tonight, he had a delicate job at hand, and that meant being calm. So, instead of being strung out, he tried to breathe deep.

He’d picked his girl.

He’d watched her head to the party, lost in a flock of floozy’s.

They believed that traveling in bigger numbers would save them. It amused him that this was their biggest defense.

It wouldn’t help.

Nothing could save the next one. She was marked down in his book, and he had to follow through.

Now he only had to wait for her to come out. This one he liked a lot. He had to admit that she made his lower body stir when he saw what she was wearing to the party.

Sue him.

He was only male and human.

He couldn’t help that the little blonde slut made him hot. He knew he shouldn’t want her, but he did. Maybe tonight, he’d cross a line and do something for himself.

After all, sex might calm his nerves. She’d never sleep with him in real life, so maybe he’d take what he wanted. What could it hurt?

He pondered it as he sat in the shadows dressed in all black, trying to blend into his surroundings. His hands, encased in leather, shook despite his deep breathing.

He was scared.

Someone was going to find him.

He knew it.

Yet, he stayed. The sex lured him in. He saw her on campus and wanted her. Now he’d fulfill his mission and get the girl.

She didn't have a choice.

Tonight, she was going to make the ultimate sacrifice, and for that he was grateful.

He watched as a bunch of girls left the party, heading back to the dorms. They were still flocking together, and he was filled with rage. They were ruining everything.

Never before had they left in a group. Arriving, yes, but leaving was always simple. Now, he would have to risk himself. Just the idea of being more reckless pissed him off. The whole point was to get her, take what he wanted, and get away.

But that didn't look possible.

He singled her out in the crowd. His eyes never left her lithe body as she giggled her way to the safety of her dorm.

Well shit!

This sucked.

It looked like he was going home empty handed and horny as hell.
Then, by one small miracle, the most amazing thing happened. She stopped outside her door, pulled out a smoke, and lit up. The rest of the debutants said goodnight, heading inside.
She was alone.

This was a sign.

He had a matter of minutes to circle around--like the wolf in Red Riding Hood--to catch his little prize. He moved fast, silently, and with intent in his eyes. He could smell the cheap smokes and wanted to admonish her.

Men didn't like chimneys.

And after tonight, she was going to wish she’d never picked up a smoke in her life. Her vile addiction was going to be how he caught her.

When he approached from behind, she was just about ready to crush out the butt. That’s when he moved. Fast as lightning, he grabbed her and dragged her back into the shadows.
She lost her shoe in the struggle, and he debated on going back for it or not. When she bit him on the arm, leaving marks, he was enraged. In the shadow of the building, he threw her against the brick wall.

Head met stone, and the thud sickened even him.

As she fell to the ground, he saw that she wasn’t wearing panties. “You’re such a whore,” he hissed, yanking down his own zipper.

While she was out, he was going to take her. No one would notice, since she’d been partying at the fraternity. What was one more dick in the mix?

He made sure no one was around as he pounded himself into her body. Not once did she move, struggle, or make a peep. It made him happy. He could concentrate on getting off. Then he could take what he needed.

As soon as he was done, there wasn’t a second to waste. If his moment of weakness got him caught, so much would be at stake. Touching her bloodied cheek, he noticed she wasn’t breathing.

She was dead.

He couldn’t let the fact that he’d just had sex with a dead girl bother him. There was a job to do. Instead, he pulled out his knife and got to work. When he was done, he stashed his prize before plotting his dumping location. He couldn’t take her to the pond, so instead he rolled her into the gulley behind the dorm and into the storm drain.

Trash deserved to be left where it belonged.

Grabbing his prize, he raced into the darkness, leaving the shoe, forgetting her name, and ignoring how close he was to the edge.

His job was done.

He could go home.

He was satiated and had a prize to cross off his list.

It was a good night.

Well, for him anyway…
