Oracle Rising

Morning all!

Just popping in to update you on my newest project.
Oracle Rising is on it's merry way. I'm about 190 pages into the book, and will be wrapping it up Saturday morning.
I'm excited.
I hope you are too!
We're going to meet Juliett and Rhett. Normally, characters we meet in my books become part of the team, but these two won't be. In this series, you're going to see Avalon, Nate, Maura, Luke, and Jagger helping people just like Oracle. That's their mission. So, you'll see a fast romance blossom between people, and then they're on their way.
This is new for me. I usually get attached to the characters, and I'm not saying i won't for this series, but the first book is going to be a little different.

By now, you've probably read Sinner Reborn.
How was it? I hope you enjoyed it. It was one of my favorite books to write. I love Avalon. She's unique, quirky, and you can't help but love her.
After you've read it, please leave a review on Amazon.com. Show me the love :)

Well, back to the grind. I have a deadline to meet, and then I'm on hiatus through the summer. I have lots of work coming up, and there's no rest for the wicked!

Much love, mayhem,and murder,

Morgan.

Prologue

It was all too easy.
Never was there a time where hunting down a victim and killing her was so stress free. This was almost a sin.

They made it as difficult as taking candy from babies.

From the shadows along the walkway, he watched, making sure that he disappeared into the darkness. Yes, it was time once more to take what was needed.

There was guilt, but what could he do?

Deep down, there was such need that nothing else would wash it away. It clung to him sickly, making all he touched tainted with the ugliness that he tried so hard to keep hidden.

He craved them.

The pretty party girls were the only way he could keep his head above water. They went to the fraternity to find something, and when they did, he also found something too.

It was copacetic.

They wanted to run wild behind the hallowed doors of the university. They drank, smoked, and fornicated like there was no tomorrow, and for some of them--there wasn’t.

First, he was going to steal their lives. When he was done, then he’d take something even more precious.

But alas, they shouldn’t fear. He was giving them immortality. The pretty girls in their harlot outfits were going to be offered so much more.

They were cherished.

This whole thing was a gift, and they were lucky.

The second his blade kissed their petal soft skin, they were marked as one of his. Not now, not tomorrow, but one day, they’d be remembered with such fondness for what they’d given.

Death.

In the end, he’d be remembered too.

He was salvation.

It obsessed him, and now it consumed them. There was no escaping it. With claws so vicious, it tethered him to the task at hand. He was helpless to escape it.

After all, he began all this, and he was prisoner to the lure. While they would be his victims, they weren’t alone. He was captive too. So much pulled him in that neither the logic, nor the guilt could set him free.

Nothing but death itself could release him from the hell on Earth that he had created.
For now, he had to keep going.

Someone had to do it.

Unfortunately, that someone was him.

The silence of the night was broken by the staggering footsteps of someone coming his way. He could hear her walking right toward the trap. There was very little hesitation as she stumbled through the shadows, unaware of what was coming.

Death was waiting.
Lurking.
Prowling.

In the darkness, it sat poised and ready to strike. By his hand, her life would come to an end. She’d be sacrificed for something so much bigger than she could ever understand.

God help his blackened soul, but she was precious to him, and he needed her.

As the footsteps paused, he carefully listened, making sure that no one was following behind her.
She had to be alone.

This would only work if no one followed.

If she had company, he would have to pack up and leave for the night. There could be no mistakes. If there were, it would all be ruined. Not only would there be jail, but there would also be the electric chair, and he knew it.

No, that couldn’t happen.

He’d take his life before he’d let anyone find the truth. Then he could live on forever too.
In all their memories, he’d still be there, lurking, saving, and doing what had to be done.
From his position, he couldn’t get a clear visual on her, but he could hear her.

She was vomiting.

He shook his head. Honestly, he wasn’t shocked at her being sick. Leaving Beta Phi Ti, their parties were notorious for boozing, drugging, and sexual exploits. Apparently, the university looked the other way, believing boys would be boys. No one complained, so no harm was done.

Until tonight.
Until now.

In a few minutes, there would be plenty of harm--to her.

When he heard the footsteps once more, seeing her off in the distance, he stepped closer to the edge of the shadows. Now he’d grab her while he could. The booze, drugs, and sexual haze would dull her senses, and she wouldn’t be able to fight. If he was lucky, she’d pass out in his arms.

Then the fun could begin.
Or was that continue?

He was already enjoying himself.

As for her, well, she’d already had plenty of fun and her appearance showed it. The skimpy skirt, barely covering her nether regions, was askew, she was wearing only one shoe, and her makeup was smeared from the evening’s conquests. It appeared that fun was had by all in the frat house.

Yes, she was well used.

And that was okay.

For what he had in mind, it didn't really matter. Sex, or a good time, wasn’t what he wanted from her. He didn't mind picking a slut fresh from the sexual frenzy, and that was obviously what had happened that night.

She had a purpose, and he had a job to do.

When she was up close, he could see the tears on her cheeks. It was clear that she was distressed.
There was guilt again as wave after wave of it rushed through him. This was wrong.

She was a nice girl.
She was someone’s child.
She was…his.

There could be no turning back, since the ends justified the means.

As she lurched toward the grass to vomit some more, he made his move. Quickly, he struck, taking her out with one blow to the back of the neck.

Immediately, she fell face down into the grass, her breathing labored. There was a sick gurgling as she began aspirating on her own vomit.

It was done.

Now he needed to get her taken care of, and fast.
Dragging her back into the shadows, he used the moonlight to do his business.

It was fast.
It was effective.
It was done.

Then he gave her the honor she deserved, dropping a kiss to the top of her head before he rolled her up in the generic blue tarp. He stole it from maintenance, and they’d never know it was gone. There was no way he could take her someplace else, especially with a campus full of partying and sleeping students.

It was far too daring and dangerous.

No, this would have to do.

When she was wrapped up, he knew it was time to move the body. Tomorrow, when her sorority sisters woke, she would be missing. As they entered her room to ask how much fun she had at the frat house, she wouldn’t be there to answer them. Her voice would no longer be heard.
She was gone.

There would be no trace.

There’d be no body.

Felicity Magliozzi was about to vanish from this world and the campus.

Dragging her through the trees, he did the unspeakable. He tossed her body, used, abused, and broken into the water. From here on out, the golf pond would hold his secret.

For all eternity.

Two Weeks Later

He’d waited long enough.

If he didn't move soon, it would eat away at him, making him a shell of a human being. There was the urge to take another one the night after he took Felicity, but he had to wait.

Bide his time.
Study the situation.

After all, that’s what you did at a university.

Now, he believed it would be safe, so tonight, there would be another one.
And when he was done, one more would follow her. It would keep going until he was done.

This was his calling.

He couldn’t stop. The pleasure afterward was just too much to turn away. He loved it.

He was greedy.
Vicious.
Evil.

And he couldn’t be stopped.

No one had even made mention of the missing girl. Yes, the campus police searched for her, and the fraternity was questioned, but then it was dropped. It was like no one cared if someone took one little lost lamb.

After all, she was only a slutty girl missing from the world. Her parents were the only ones who cared, and that had turned to ambivalence when they learned the truth.
Their daughter was nothing more than a party girl. See, her father had an influential job, and he didn't want it marred by speculation.

So, they were investigating, but quietly.

That amused him.

What did they hope to find?

He’d been very careful, almost mindful, as he made her disappear.

He took what he wanted from her partied out body, discarding the scraps. Yes, his hands on her were sloppy seconds, but that didn't matter.

He was okay with that.

In the grand scheme of it all, he’d let others have her first. After all, what he wanted with her was so much bigger.

Better.
More amazing.

Yes, he’d tolerate them smelling like booze and cheap sex, because in the end, she’d still be special--to him.

They all would.

After all, they were a gift--one which would be remembered forever.

Now, it was time to find another treasure. It wasn’t hard. The fraternity liked to party, and so did he. Only, he did what he wanted, breaking all the rules. The others… they were weak sheep, being led by sex and alcohol.

He wouldn’t be lured into that.

There were bigger goals in life. There was so much more outside the frat house, but they didn't get it. They couldn’t see the truth and how precious the women were.

But he did. He’d seen it first hand, and he was in love with what was available to all of them.
This next girl would give him that.

The opportunities would be bigger, greater, and even more alluring. All he had to do was pluck her from the slutty girl tree, and have his way with her body.

It was that simple.

Slowing his excited breathing, he listened to the footsteps. She was coming, and he couldn’t wait to get her under his body. Then he’d work his magic. With the last one, he didn't want her this badly, but he was losing control.

He could feel it.

Once he got his hands on her, then she’d be his to do whatever he wanted.

And he wanted a great deal from her…

When she tripped, dropped her keys, and then fumbled for them in the grass, he knew it was time.
Sneaking up behind her, his hands found her throat. As he yanked her off the path and into the darkness, he squeezed and squeezed, cutting off all her air.

She fought like a hellcat, but it didn't matter.

He loved every second of it. He was now in total control, and with that, he’d get the ultimate prize.

HER.

As the drunken girl’s nails sought the flesh of his arm, she was met with disappointment. He was well covered, and ready for any such attempt.

When he spun her around, there was recognition in her eyes, and he was pleased. She knew him. That made it even better that she saw what was coming.

In death, she’d know her assailant, and that gave him an even bigger rush of power.

“I’m sorry,” he whispered into her ear, as she slowly began to drift away. “You’re important, Veronica. I promise that you didn't die in vain. You’re special to me.”

She didn't hear him.

Already, her eyes were rolling up into her head as the sound of buzzing filled her ears. Blood flow was slowing as her oxygen was cut off.

She was dying.

He was stealing her life.

Her lips moved, whispering nothing into the darkness as her final plea for salvation was meant to be missed by all.

Then she was gone.

Veronica was now empty, and nothing more than a prissy, well-dressed vessel of dying organs and blood.

“I have to hurry,” he murmured, taking care of the most important parts first. He couldn’t get caught in the act, and that meant rushing through. In the shadows, his penlight in his mouth, he did it.

It was rushed, but he was satisfied. It was yet another successful job, and he was pleased.

The air reeked of sex, blood, and death. Yet, she didn't care, and neither did he.

She was a means to an end and a gift.

Now he needed to escape.

Wrapping her up, he dragged her weighted down corpse to the same pond as the last girl before dumping her in. He didn't even stick around to watch her sink. He knew she would because he was smart, clever, and wily.

Tomorrow, she too would be missing, but this time he was wiser. He did his research.
No one would miss her but some flighty, slutty sorority girls, and they didn't matter.

Not in the least.

For now, he got what he wanted, and that meant that it was time to escape into the night. There was another frat party in two days, and he was going to pick the next girl. While they all studied and slept, he’d be working on who would be next.

He’d listen to who they planned on accosting, and she’d be the one. They wouldn’t even notice him wandering around, and that made his job so much easier.

It was hard not to grin over how clever he was.

No one could stop him.

He was powerful.

Genius.

He was giving the world a gift.

One slut at a time.

Two Days Later

Veronica Libbey’s disappearance made too much noise. It stirred up the campus, terrorizing the women and co-eds. While he knew he should be afraid, he wasn’t.

This had to be done.

He had no choice.

If he lost his nerve now, so much would be ruined, and he couldn’t risk that.

There was something bigger urging him on, and that meant he had to keep going. Even though the prey was getting wiser, that didn't mean he wouldn’t have a chance to take her.
A part of him wanted to make the next one suffer for making his job that much harder, but he couldn’t be rash.

Tonight, he had a delicate job at hand, and that meant being calm. So, instead of being strung out, he tried to breathe deep.

He’d picked his girl.

He’d watched her head to the party, lost in a flock of floozy’s.

They believed that traveling in bigger numbers would save them. It amused him that this was their biggest defense.

It wouldn’t help.

Nothing could save the next one. She was marked down in his book, and he had to follow through.

Now he only had to wait for her to come out. This one he liked a lot. He had to admit that she made his lower body stir when he saw what she was wearing to the party.

Sue him.

He was only male and human.

He couldn’t help that the little blonde slut made him hot. He knew he shouldn’t want her, but he did. Maybe tonight, he’d cross a line and do something for himself.

After all, sex might calm his nerves. She’d never sleep with him in real life, so maybe he’d take what he wanted. What could it hurt?

He pondered it as he sat in the shadows dressed in all black, trying to blend into his surroundings. His hands, encased in leather, shook despite his deep breathing.

He was scared.

Someone was going to find him.

He knew it.

Yet, he stayed. The sex lured him in. He saw her on campus and wanted her. Now he’d fulfill his mission and get the girl.

She didn't have a choice.

Tonight, she was going to make the ultimate sacrifice, and for that he was grateful.

He watched as a bunch of girls left the party, heading back to the dorms. They were still flocking together, and he was filled with rage. They were ruining everything.

Never before had they left in a group. Arriving, yes, but leaving was always simple. Now, he would have to risk himself. Just the idea of being more reckless pissed him off. The whole point was to get her, take what he wanted, and get away.

But that didn't look possible.

He singled her out in the crowd. His eyes never left her lithe body as she giggled her way to the safety of her dorm.

Well shit!

This sucked.

It looked like he was going home empty handed and horny as hell.
Then, by one small miracle, the most amazing thing happened. She stopped outside her door, pulled out a smoke, and lit up. The rest of the debutants said goodnight, heading inside.
She was alone.

This was a sign.

He had a matter of minutes to circle around--like the wolf in Red Riding Hood--to catch his little prize. He moved fast, silently, and with intent in his eyes. He could smell the cheap smokes and wanted to admonish her.

Men didn't like chimneys.

And after tonight, she was going to wish she’d never picked up a smoke in her life. Her vile addiction was going to be how he caught her.

When he approached from behind, she was just about ready to crush out the butt. That’s when he moved. Fast as lightning, he grabbed her and dragged her back into the shadows.
She lost her shoe in the struggle, and he debated on going back for it or not. When she bit him on the arm, leaving marks, he was enraged. In the shadow of the building, he threw her against the brick wall.

Head met stone, and the thud sickened even him.

As she fell to the ground, he saw that she wasn’t wearing panties. “You’re such a whore,” he hissed, yanking down his own zipper.

While she was out, he was going to take her. No one would notice, since she’d been partying at the fraternity. What was one more dick in the mix?

He made sure no one was around as he pounded himself into her body. Not once did she move, struggle, or make a peep. It made him happy. He could concentrate on getting off. Then he could take what he needed.

As soon as he was done, there wasn’t a second to waste. If his moment of weakness got him caught, so much would be at stake. Touching her bloodied cheek, he noticed she wasn’t breathing.

She was dead.

He couldn’t let the fact that he’d just had sex with a dead girl bother him. There was a job to do. Instead, he pulled out his knife and got to work. When he was done, he stashed his prize before plotting his dumping location. He couldn’t take her to the pond, so instead he rolled her into the gulley behind the dorm and into the storm drain.

Trash deserved to be left where it belonged.

Grabbing his prize, he raced into the darkness, leaving the shoe, forgetting her name, and ignoring how close he was to the edge.

His job was done.

He could go home.

He was satiated and had a prize to cross off his list.

It was a good night.

Well, for him anyway…

Happy Post Sinner Reborn release!

I hope you're all still reading and enjoying the final book in the Carter Chronicles trilogy. I know I'm going through it right now in prep for writing the first Oracle book!

I can't wait.

Today, I sat down to write out next year's book release schedule. I wanted to post it here for you. I'll be releasing 12 books next year. There will only be one month without a release, so it's going to be crazy!

From here on out, you'll have a book release until May 2016. Every month, a new Morgan Kelley book will be available. Some will be the FBI, some the Vampyre series, and some new series starting up. I hope it keeps you busy! I know it's keeping me locked to my desk!

Here it is.

I get questions every day, and I can't answer all of them. I know i started posting them here so I could share them with all of you, but I'm really buried in work. (See above dates for the reason. LOL) So, forgive me for not being on top of them.

I will tell you that one question i get more than anything is why do I release so many books when a normal author drops 2-3 a year max.

It's simple.

I love my job, and i love all of you. I am an avid reader (i was until i became a writer...) I know how frustrating it is to get a series, and then have to wait a year for a new book. It sucks.
Because I'm an indie author, i run this schedule. No one can tell me how big, or small, my books have to be, and they can't tell me how many i can put out. I went the publisher route.
It was HORRIBLE.

Let's face it. (BIG SHOCKER COMING...) I am freaking Elizabeth. She's modeled after me. I don't play well with others, I like to be the boss, and I tend to say things that are totally inappropriate (although very funny). So, when i decided to go indie, i promised myself that I'd run this my way.

So...here it is.
I like dropping books and getting reviews from you, the reader. I love when you email me. (Author.m.kelley@gmail.com) I reply to each and every one. It won't be a PA replying, but me from my phone. I swear. Go ahead...test me. I dare you!

I enjoy the entire process of a book. From the days before when I'm itching to get started, to the second I send it to Rachel and Laura. I love my job. I don't take a vacation. I know..I know... I just can't. I'm a type A control freak who is a major workaholic. When I'm not writing, I'm wandering the house like a zombie. For the sake of my marriage, and my children's sanity, i have to work.
So.
I do.

I promise that as long as you all keep reading, I'll keep writing. I'm asked how long I can keep the series going. The answer?
I already have a spin off for the FBI series if i decide to end it. I'm only 12 books in, and I foresee at least 40. As long as i can keep killing off people (in unique and fun ways) this series has many more years ahead of it.
If i can't, I've built in safety nets.

Yes, one day, you'll be seeing a spin off with all of Elizabeth's children in the future. I've made sure to create prodigy to carry on the Blackhawk-Whitefox torch.
We have Julian and Tori's child Veronica.
We have Quinn and Callie's children.
We may even run in to a few more along the way. So fear not...I'm far from done. I swear.

Now... I hate bitching and moaning about this. I really do, but it has to be said. If you want to keep getting books, I need reviews. Think of this as a team effort. I need you just as much as you need your book fix.

Amazon is a pain in the ass about a few things. They won't start promoting an author unless they have a specific amount of book reviews for each book.(50 reviews)  Now.. I know how many books i sell a month, and the reviews aren't matching up to the sales. I don't know if you hate the books, or you just don't like leaving a review.
Don't be shy!

PLEASE leave a review. I really need them to keep my job. All kidding aside. In a world where Indie authors, like myself, are competing against big publishing houses, it's the only thing that keeps us afloat.

I need Amazon to promote my books so i can employ the team who keeps bringing them to you. This isn't all about me. Rachel and Laura are part of this too. They're the ones who edit and proof the pages upon pages i send them. As far as I know, they love being masochists.

PLEASE leave a review. If you haven't, please go back and leave them for all the books that you've read. I know it's a pain, but it's vital. Out in the indie world, people are buying reviews to pad the game, and I won't do that.
I refuse to cheat.
I'm trying to do this the right way, keeping my Karma clean. I want to be a legit author, and that means getting my readers to leave a review. It doesn't have to be a long review. 20 words minimum.

It means EVERYTHING.
Really.

Okay.. I've begged plenty today. I'm going to get back to work. Oracle won't be writing itself, and I have to get in the right frame of mind.

Have a great week!

Much love, Mayhem, and Murder...

Morgan.

Release day!

Happy almost weekend, all!

It's been another great week in Morgan-ville. Today is the release of Sinner Reborn, the final book in the Carter Chronicles. I can't believe it's over. I loved writing those three books so much! I fell in love with each couple.

I think Luke and Maura are my favorite, closely followed by Nate and Avalon.

Speaking of Oracle...

Next week, I sit down to write Oracle Rising. That series is going to have the characters you love from the Carter Chronicles, plus some new ones thrown in. If you like thrillers with a twist, you'll enjoy it.

Avalon has a gift, much like the oracles of long ago. She 'sees' things. So, you know there's going to be some love, murder, and mayhem! I can't help myself!

So, if you haven't preordered, here is the link to Sinner Reborn!.  Get reading!!!

I hope you enjoy it!

PLEASE leave a review. It keeps indie authors like myself in a job. If you want more books, i need lots of feedback. It's a mere 20 words, and it makes a HUGE difference.

Thank you!

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan.

Dangerous Retaliation is here!
You can preorder it now!

Here's the link.

I'm so excited about this book. We're watching Flynn become more and more like them even as he struggles to hold onto his humanity. It's fun to watch him morphing into a killer, all the while the killers are picking up pieces of him too.

There are big changes coming for Jolie Harcourte. BIG ones!

If you're not a fan of vampyres, you really should give these three a try. There's mystery, love, and sex all rolled into undead fun. I promise you won't be disappointed. This is my twist on vampire romances, and I stay true to Morgan Kelley style.

As always, here's a sneak peek!

Dangerous Retaliation

Book 4 in the Harcourte Society Series

∞ Prologue ∞

Starting his SUV, Detective Tommy Gress could finally call it a day and retire to his place. He’d been on shift for almost eighteen hours straight, thanks to a new string of serial killings occurring in the city. In all his years as a cop, he’d never seen anything quite like it before. It was like the perp was trying to make them chase their tails.

It had him confused.

It had worn him down.

He’d waded through enough blood, gore, and death to last him a lifetime, and when he finally cleared his present workload, he was going to take a vacation--a long one. In fact, he might go visit his best buddy, and previous partner, Detective Flynn Brogan, for a couple of days down south.

That was a damn fine idea.

It might be nice to take in the sights and relax, all the while ogling his old partner’s sexy babe.

Now…that was what he called a vacation.

It brought the first honest smile to his face in hours. He truly missed Flynn, but how could he fault the man for packing up his life to follow Jolie Harcourte?

She was sexy.
She was smart.

Oh, did he mention she was sexy?

Had it been him, he would have followed the beauty into hell and back. There was something so damn hot about the woman. He just couldn’t put his finger on it. Maybe it was her long black hair, the sweet lavender eyes, or her super fine body. Honestly, everything was perfect, and he wouldn’t mind finding a woman just like that too.

Babe selection had been a little scarce. True, he was seeing someone, but it was all off. Tommy’s gut was screaming. There was something…wrong.

Letting it go, he pulled out a pack of smokes and got ready to light one up. Like his long day, his nicotine cravings were ungodly. This would be his first cigarette all day. He couldn’t even steal away a minute to smoke, or pee.

Yeah, the day had been that bad.

As the Zippo lit up, unfortunately, so did his phone. Without even looking down, Tommy knew that his well-deserved break from death was officially over.

“Shit,” he mumbled, as he reached for his cell. “Detective Gress,” he snapped, trying to remember that he was a civil servant, and despite how exhausted he was, this was his job.
There was a BIG emphasis on the word ‘servant’, as of late.

“Detective? My name is Zola Saran, and I think I saw something that might help you on your case,” she offered softly.

That cheered him up.

“Really? What have you seen, ma’am? We could use some information or a credible witness to help this case along.”

“I believe I saw an individual walking out of the alley where that man was found dead last night.”
She could hear his breathing pick up in excitement. Zola couldn’t help but smile.

This was too easy.

The humans were quite stupid when it came to trust. In fact, lambs to the slaughter were harder to kill. Excitedly, her plan began to fall into place.

“Can you meet me at the police station, so you can give your statement?”

“No, I can’t, Detective. Is there any way that you could meet me at my home? I have a sick child and no one to watch her.”

Gress sighed, dropping his cigarettes back onto the seat.

What choice did he have?

It appeared that smoking, along with sleep, were luxuries that he couldn’t afford.

“Sure, give me your address,” he stated, scribbling on a pad as he pulled out of the parking lot. “I’ll be there in five minutes.”

“Thank you, Detective. I really appreciate all the hard work you do to keep our city safe,” she added sarcastically, unbeknownst to him.

Gress closed his phone and cursed.

He was so damn close to getting home and getting a few hours of sleep that he could almost feel the warm sheets wrapped around his bone weary body.

This day just sucked all around.

“Son of a bitch,” he muttered, picking up his phone again to dial his new partner. When it was dumped into voicemail, he realized she must have been smart enough to shut off her cell.

Lucky her.

Leaving a message, Tommy explained the situation and where he was heading. Hopefully, this would be a big break for them, and they could shut this mess of a case down.

He prayed that was the truth.

Heading toward the address that the woman gave him, his gut knotted.

This house was in the middle of nowhere.

It felt…off.

Yet, he was so damn tired, he opted to push his instincts back down. For now, he’d go, get the interview done, and head home.

That’s all he wanted.

To sleep.

He was a desperate man, and he’d give anything to have some down time.

                            * * *  H a r c o u r t e   * * *

Standing in the shadows of the abandoned house, Zola Saran waited for the Detective to arrive. Once he did, she’d have her prisoner to lure Jolie and her two mates back into the city.

Then, the games would begin.

Granted, this was the hardest part of her plan. It took her a few weeks to find worthy bait to draw them in.

Jolie wasn’t a fool. She would expect this, but that didn't mean that Zola shouldn’t try. All it would take is someone so important that they’d come running.

Since Jolie was a heartless bitch, that meant Zola needed to focus on someone important to her mate.
How she doted over her vile human was disgusting. The man was nothing more than meat on bones, and yet she revered him.

It was nauseating.

It made Zola want to scream in a rage. Detective Flynn Brogan was the reason her heart was ripped from her chest, and Zola wanted her revenge.

She had to avenge her mate.

Devin had died because of him.

Now, payback would be theirs.

There was no doubt in her mind that once they found out the worthless human friend was missing, they would come running. That was just like them.

Save the humans!

It made her sick.

When they arrived, and they most certainly would, she’d begin her retaliation and avenge her mate. That cruel, cruel bitch, Jolie, had stolen his life simply because he’d allowed Jolie’s enemy into their home.

Who cared if her pathetic human mate was taken and almost killed?

It would have been for the better as Jolie was too soft toward the humans anyway.
It infuriated Zola to no end. She didn't understand it. How could Jolie sacrifice one of her own family for the sake of a human?

It was incomprehensible.

Now she would avenge her one true love by luring them all back to Philadelphia to kill Jolie and her mates, one by one.

Zola couldn’t wait.

She’d enjoy bleeding the human, little by little, as Jolie had done to Devin.

She began laughing.

The kicker was--what she couldn’t complete in her plan, the council, which had banned the family, would.

It was her greatest hope that Jacques and Jolie would return to the city and be executed for their previous crimes.

She’d let them handle her.

But the human? No, he was hers to kill.

Detective Flynn Brogan would suffer more than he ever had in his entire life, and she’d enjoy every second of it. If they believed that Flynn had felt pain by Genevieve’s hand, they were wrong. That was going to be a walk in the park.

Zola would show him hell.

“Oh, Mistress, we’ll have so much fun finishing up the game. You should have ended my life when you stole my mate’s. Now that you let me walk free, I have no choice but to teach you a lesson. Softness only gets you one thing--DEATH.”

Flickering lights alerted her to the approaching SUV. Here came the bait needed to start her payback.
It was time.

Zola prepared herself to make the first move in her game of revenge. This plan had taken weeks, and she knew there was going to only be one shot.

If she failed, it would mean a more frontal approach. With Jolie’s command of Death, she’d never have a chance.

As the SUV moved closer, her eyes bled black.

Fangs slipped into her mouth, and she had to stop them. While she wanted to pounce, ripping the man apart, she knew the truth.

It was time to play human.

It was time to be weak.

The new cover is here.

Everyone always asks me when I'm planning on sharing Gabe and Livy's story. I get that question at least once a week.

Well, it's been in the works, but the stars all had to align. They finally have. Coming in Feb or March next year, you'll get a peek into Elizabeth's past. How she became an agent, her first cases, and the one choice that set fate in motion. In Past will Haunt, you're going to see it all unfold.

Feb -March 2016

We all recall from True Love Lost that she took the life of the man who assaulted her partner, and best friend. When the serial killer that she was hunting turned on Livy, Elizabeth broke the law and committed the ultimate crime.
MURDER.

We're going to go into her past and see what happened, live it through her eyes, and in the process see what her life was like before Ethan Blackhawk. We're also going to see his life unfold too. They're going to just miss each other, time after time. Proving that fate is in control after all.

That's not all!

In the following book, Choices will Destroy  ( book 14) we're going to flash to present time and see how that one choice to kill the serial killer will change their lives. It's going to be raw, emotional, and heartbreaking.

No one is above justice.

NO ONE.

I pondered offering these two books as one mega novel, but it would just be too expensive for my fans who buy paperbacks, so I had to break it in to two parts. I always promised my fans that I wasn't out to make money on writing. I do this for the love of it. (Okay, maybe i do it because i love living in a fantasy land too) It's cheaper for you the readers to get it in two pieces than if i had to raise the price of the kindle books too.

I know i promised a mega book, so to make up for it, these two books will be released back to back. One on a Wednesday, and the second on the Friday. You'll have two FBI books in one month :)

I hope you'll love them.
I hope i can pull it off and write them to all of your standards. You know what I'll be doing on my summer vacation!!!!

Dangerous Misery is here!

YAY!
There's another vampyre book here!
I'm so excited.

I know you're thinking.. 'Great. A vamp book. It's so overdone.'
Well, I can promise you this series is totally different. Think of the FBI threesome rolled into a paranormal book about sexy blood suckers.

There's Jolie.
There's Jacques.
Oh... there's Flynn.
Mmmmmm. Detective Flynn Brogan is to die for...

Literally.

Dangerous Misery, book 3 is available here.

Book one is here, and book two is here.

If you haven't read the series yet, trust me you're going to want to!
Dangerous Retaliation is out in August, and it's my favorite of the series so far. YAY!!!
Get reading, and don't forget to help an indie author out and leave a review!

It's how i keep doing what i love ;)

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan.

Fear not!

Hi all!

A few of you have contacted me and left comments regarding Greyson and Curtis in Heaven is Weeping.

Is their family really destroyed?
Are Curtis and Greyson over?

Fear not. You're going to see more of the duo in the next book, Hell is Burning. I can promise you that they will be back together again in their father and son role, even though they seem broken. A lot is going to happen in that book, so get out your tissues, and be ready!

On another note...

I'm just about done with the next Littlemoon book, Truth is Found. It'll be out in October, so hang in there. I think you'll like it. We're going to be meeting Nyx Nightingale. She and Beau Christensen have a journey to take.

I hope you enjoy it :)

Off to finish working!

Don't forget to preorder your copies of Dangerous Misery, Sinner Reborn, and Pledging to Die!!!

If you haven't joined my email list, here's the link. I promise you won't be spammed, and no one will contact you for anything other than to tell you when a book is released. (or available)

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan

Greetings from Morganville

Today, I started writing Truth is Found.

I'm so excited to be doing this next Littlemoon book. It's like Scooby-Doo for adults. It makes me smile the entire time I'm writing it.
I can't wait to see how it comes out.

The Littlemoons are trying to bounce back from the loss they suffered. (Sorry! can't spoil it if you haven't read Unthinkable Games)  It's not easy for them. After the last book ends, two weeks have past, and the team is falling apart.
It's heart wrenching!
UGH!
I hope you all have tissues!

I just got the next four books in for final proofing. That's my next task after wrapping this book. I am thrilled with the way the covers came out, and the story too! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Pledging to Die. Elizabeth has outdone herself once more. (At least I think she has!)
I can't believe that in a couple months you're all going to get to read it! I love Johanna and Brody. I am looking forward to finishing their story next month.
It's fun writing Christmas in May!
LOL

If you haven't pre-ordered your books, here are the links.

Dangerous Misery is here.  If you haven't read my vampyre series, i can promise that it's nothing you've seen before. It's like the FBI books, but with the undead, and a few other twists.

Sinner Reborn is here.

Pledging to Die is here.

Don't forget to leave reviews! if you didn't, please go back and share the love with me and other potential buyers. It's like a hug for an indie author!

Off to work!

Have a really great week!!!!

Much love, mayhem, and murder,
Morgan.

Morning!

Happy Sunday!

It's a gorgeous day here in NE Pa, and I already took a walk and got in some sun. I hope you're doing the same!
This week is a read week for me. I'm brushing up on the Littlemoon books this week, and I'll be starting the fourth book in the series later in the week. I can't wait to write it. We're going to getting to know Beau Christensen and meeting his babe.
Plus, I left you all hanging with the end of Unthinkable games. I have to make a decision regarding that :)

You know me. I like to make you all gasp and then grab the tissues.
(There's your warning.)

I received some great reviews and emails this week, and I decided to take the time to answer some of your questions. I know I've been slacking on blogging. 11 books a year is a tough schedule with all the editing, reviewing, and releasing.

I'm a bad blogger!

Here goes:

Morgan,
I love your books, but I'm dying to find out about Gabe and Livy. Will they have a book?
Genny.

I get asked this question ALOT!
Yes, they are getting their book. After this Christmas, I'll be releasing a mega book. It's going to be in two parts, the first a novella from Elizabeth's past. You'll find out how Gabe and Livy met, you'll see Elizabeth before Ethan, and even see how close they come to meeting before Salem. Fate definitely wanted them together. The book is going to be about 200-250 pages, and take place in the past. THEN two days later, you'll be getting the present book. You'll see how Elizabeth, Gabe, and Livy's actions caused trouble in their present.

I was going to release it as an 800 page book, but with editing, covers, and the cost it would be for a paperback, I didn't want to screw over any of my non-e book readers. An 800 page book is pricy. So, you can read the prequel story, find out the past, and then two days later blow right into the present day novel. That way I can keep my prices down. You all know I don't ever charge more than 3.99 for a 600 page book. I won't ever screw my readers over like that.

So, around valentine's day, you'll have two more FBI books coming out. Next year is going to be a big book year!

Morgan,
You're not running the Sinner series anymore? Why?
Emily

Well, that's another question i get. The series was always meant to be a trilogy. It was supposed to be about Callie, Nate, and Luke. They're like siblings and the stories were supposed to be short and sweet.
THEN i created Maura, Quinn, and Avalon. They took on a life of their own. Thus the Oracle series coming out next year. I couldn't end them. They still had so much more story to tell. Nate finds love, but can't have her. Luke finds a woman who can finally best him and kick his ass, an Quinn forever has to deal with his anger issues and the stresses of having a strong willed woman.

So, in 2016, you'll have the Oracle series; The phoenix files. They'll be helping people who need it most, and all of these cases will be paranormal. Like Avalon, they will all have gifts. These people will be hunted by evil, and need a special team to covertly save them.

Technically, they won't be ending. :) YAY!

Morgan,
I just saw you're ending the Croft series! NOOOOOOOO!
Hildi

LOL. Yeah, I'm ending it, but not how you think. It's going to go a darker more vigilante route than it is now. With Greyson in the FBI, and Emma a cop, they can't save everyone. There are laws in place, and that makes it harder. By now, if you read Heaven is Weeping, you know that at the end of the book, they come into a lot of money. How will they use it? What happens when lines are crossed, and you're no longer able to follow the letter of the law?

So, Greyson and Emma will be having a new journey. I promise it'll be similar, but with a twist. There will be some characters not crossing over into it, so get out the tissues. Times change, and fate already has written their path.

That's all I have time for today! I have some reading to do! Happy Sunday!

Thank you for your questions! If you have more, email them to me, and I'll post them here! author.m.kelley@gmail.com
Or if you have a comment or just want to say hi! Feel free! I personally answer all my emails!

If you haven't left reviews for the books you've read, can you please? Amazon is making it harder and harder for independent authors, and promoting less and less unless you have lots of reviews. I would really appreciate it! They don't have to be long or elaborate! I swear !

Thank you all for reading my books!
Send me your questions, and I'll be posting them here!!!

Much love, mayhem, and murder,
Morgan.
