Happy New Year!

Afternoon all!

I'm just taking a break from writing to drop in and wish you a Happy 2014!
I hope the year is filled with lots of great things!

I'm day three into Love is Bleeding (Book 4) in the Croft & Croft series. I'm having a good time writing it, and hope you'll enjoy it. We're going to see what happens to Paris Archer and Tessa Brass. Will they be together?
Or will fate keep them apart?

Don't look at me! I haven't finished writing it yet. I was hoping you'd tell me!

Anyway, 36,000 words down in three days, and I'm ahead of schedule, so that makes me happy. I need to approve Consumed by Wrath for release. I can't wait to reread it. It's one of my favorites!

Off to get more work done!
Happy New Year and don't forget to leave reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. It's the only way I can keep writing books.

You don't want to see the story end do you?
Me either!

Much Love, Mayhem, and Murder,

Morgan.

Last minute changes.

Morning all!

Just stopping in from hiatus to give you an update.
I'm a big believer in dreams and their meanings. Maybe it's the Native in me or just my brain refusing to stop thinking for a single second. Either way, I try to listen to them as much as possible. So, as I was fast asleep last night, I had a dream where I changed the cover of my newest book. I can't explain why, but I had this overwhelming need to wake myself up and do just that.

So, there's a new cover for Consumed by Wrath (book 8). I hope you like it as much as I do. I'm hoping that it's the final cover, since the book releases in a few short weeks. If you head to the top of the blog, and select FBI series, it's in there. I'll be posting the prologue in a couple of weeks, so make sure you pop in or sign up to get my blog emailed to you.

Also, I'm beginning to write Love is Bleeding (Book 4) in the Croft & Croft series in two days. I'll be wrapping it up in time for my 40th birthday at the end of the month.
~~Gasp~~ It'll be a little present to me. There's nothing like finishing another book and taking a couple days off to celebrate.

Editing is finished on Consumed by Wrath, and right now it's in Rachel's hands for proofing. So far, it's had nothing but rave reviews. (Especially the Valentine's Day sex scene!)  I hope it makes you all laugh, cry, and giggle at Elizabeth's antics.

Off to start prepping for the next book!
Happy New Year everyone!

Much Love, Mayhem and Murder,
Morgan.

Happy Post Holiday!

Hi all!
Welcome to the other side of Christmas!
I hope you all had a great day!

I know I did!
After spoiling the kids and drinking way too much eggnog, I'm glad the holiday is over. I need a vacation from my vacation.
It's not pretty here at MK manor. There's chaos and mess and the normal mayhem. I will admit that one tree is down and the stockings are unhung.
I'm halfway there.

I'm still on hiatus, but I'll be going back to work on Love is Bleeding (Book 4) in the Croft & Croft Series starting on January 1st. I can't wait! I just figured out where I'm taking it, and can't wait to have it written and share it all with you.
I have a special love for Emma and Greyson. I love my caveman!

Consumed by Wrath is half done in editing and off being proofed at the same time. Yay to the team! It's due back by Sunday and will get it's final read through at the end of January.
I hope you're ready! It's emotional, fun, and typically Elizabeth, Ethan and Callen.
It makes me cry when I read it!
Oh, and laugh.
A lot!
You'll find out if Chris and Cyra make it to the altar, or Belladonna Leonard has her way and gets her son to call it all off...

I've also sent Dangerous Revelations (book 1) in the vampyre series off to be edited too. I added 200 + pages of details and story line. So, if you had it in paperback, it's pretty much a new book.
I've gotten emails from a few of you that have read the series. The big question is will it be completely different?
Yes and no.
I've added and changed things up, so if you read book 1-4, you won't be disappointed with the new releases. I promise!

Sinner Repent (Book 1) in the Carter Chronicles is also getting sent to editing this weekend. You'll get the first book in the trilogy before you know it!  I will say, it ties into the FBI series, much like the Littlemoon series does. You'll see the characters cross lines and appear in all the books. I like having FBI West be a big fun playground.

In Sinner Repent, you'll be getting the back story on Callista Carter. She's going to appear in Consumed by Wrath as Ethan Blackhawk's therapist after the abduction. So, you'll find out how she became part of their lives in her book.
I hope you love it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

At the end of January, Lost & Broken (Book 2) will be next on my list. It's written, but I need to tweak it and add some details. It's the second book in the Littlemoon series and has the paranormal ghost twist.
It's fun!

As always, I'll give you the scoop regarding the threesomes. Yes there is one in the vampyre series. No, there isn't one in the Littlemoon series, The Croft & Croft series, or the Carter Chronicles.
I know some of you don't like surprises.

I wish you all a happy and safe holiday season. I'll see you next year for more Love, Mayhem and Murder!

Much affection,

Morgan.
xx

Greetings!

I apologize that I haven't been posting the last few days. I'm buried in work until vacation on the 20th. I can't wait to sleep in a few days and dream about the books still on the horizon.

I can give you an update as to what's happening.

Blood Red Rage (Book 1) in the Littlemoon series will be released next week some time. I'm happy to say that my editor and proofer worked hard to get it done with a month to spare, so I'm releasing Tori and Julian's series in time for Christmas.
YAY!
So, check in next week to find out when!

Next, Consumed by Wrath (book 8) is heading off to the editor today. I'm dying to get their opinions on it, and hope that everyone is in love with it. *Fingers crossed*

I'm putting the finishing touches on Dangerous Revelations (book 1) in the Vampyre series. I know a few of my readers aren't into vampyres, but still check them out. I think you'll like the paranormal and the thriller mix. Besides, you get to meet Detective Flynn Brogan and his undead companions.
Yummy!
This book is headed off to the editor in January too.
I can't wait.

Last but not least, before my vacation begins, I'll be working on Sinner Repent (book 1) in the Carter Chronicles Trilogy. That too is heading off to editing in January, and I can't wait to release it this summer/fall. You'll meet Doctor Callista Carter in that book and hear her story. (HINT: you'll also see her in Consumed by Wrath too. She's going to appear as Ethan's therapist. So, don't miss her there!)

Great news! I've been chosen as 'Author of the Week' for Awesome trilogies. I'll be headlining on their site, FB and Twitter the week of Christmas. YAY! I hope you'll all pop in over there and enjoy the interview and other information!

Finally, I'm kicking off a blog tour coming up, January 13-20. Please stop in here and travel to all the other blogs to see what I'm dishing on the new books and some of your favorites. It should be one hell of a trip! I'll be posting the stops daily for all of you!

*** If you have a blog, and are interested in hosting me, click here and fill out the form. The tour company will contact you. If you're interested in hosting for another author KC Cavanaugh, here's another link***

Alrighty! Back to work for me and back to reading for you!

Keep posting those reviews and dropping me the emails! I love to hear from you!

Much Love, Mayhem, and Murder,

Morgan.

Prologue for Blood Red Rage

Here's one of my early Christmas gifts to you. I'm giving you the prologue today!
Also, after much deliberation (and the emails where you've begged and threatened to cry) I've decided to release Blood Red Rage (book 1) early.
As always, you'll be the first to know when, so be ready...

Enjoy!

~Prologue~

He was a collector.

All of his life, he always wanted to find the best things out there and make them his. It had been his mission, even from his prepubescent years.

When something sparkly, pretty, or lovely crossed his path, he was compelled to make it his.

It started with simple stones.

One would think that it was innocent enough, but it prepared him for the future ahead. The rocks were just the beginning and made him want more and more.

He would go out into the river and find the ones that nature had worn down in its current, and he would bring them home. At first his mother didn't mind, but then…

Like so many things, it became his obsession.

The collection grew and grew, taking over his space and his brain. It went from hobby to fixation incredibly fast. When his mother tried to step in, he was filled with hate and anger.

IT WAS HIS!

How dare she try to stop him?

Even at a young age, the rage filled him when someone tried to touch his possessions. So, as time went on, his mother turned a blind eye. She ignored his obsessive tendencies and let him have it his way. The day that he exploded in rage, she backed down and would never contest his collecting again. Even she feared what may happen if he were provoked.

This hobby opened so many doors for him.

After rocks, it was leaves and then figurines.

There was nothing wrong with that, right?

Before long, as time slowly ticked by and childhood ebbed into adulthood, the needs changed and grew. The objects he longed to collect no longer were little things. As their size grew, their value to him also became greater.

Until that one day, when he stumbled upon the ultimate collection.

Beautiful women.

As he went off to college, a whole new world opened around him. Since he had been home schooled his entire life, he never really understood the importance of the opposite sex. Granted, he spent his days with a woman; his mother. What was so special about her? If anything, she was mediocre at best.

He didn't get it until that day when he was surrounded by them. It was as if something unlocked inside him, and he finally knew the truth.

There were blondes, brunette, and redheads. They smiled and smelled like heaven. Some had curly mops and some had hair that was poker straight.

This was a brand new world.

He was a kid in a very sexy candy shop. Every time that he blinked, a new woman appeared before him. All he needed to do was find the one who called to him.

So, like any good collector, he started at the beginning and prepped with photographs. Taking a few snapshots was easier than talking to them, so pictures would come first, and then he would see where it led.

Maybe in time, he could approach them and make them his.

A good gatherer didn't put a limit on a newly sought after prize.

He let the spirit move him.

Well, now, he was feeling it like never before. As he would sit in his classes, he would watch them all. The brunette liked the one jock. She would bat her eyelashes at him and hike her skirt up pretty high. The blonde was the smart one. She didn't even care about what was going on around her. All that she focused on was the man at the front of the classroom and her notebook. Then there was the redhead. She snapped her gum and looked infinitely bored, as she continued to glance at her watch. Each were very different, and yet so much alike.

Yeah, they were all oblivious to him watching. Part of him wished that they knew the truth of what was floating around in his brain. If they could see the intent on his face as he admired their different colored hair and body types, maybe then, they wouldn’t look so lackadaisical. To him, they were special.

Once class was over, he would follow the one that he liked best. When she never noticed that he was behind her, it gave him more hope that he would finally get her picture for his collection.

When she went to the commons and found a place to lie in the green grass, he did the same. Only, he stayed far enough away to openly admire her.

Oh, and did he ever!

There were shots of her licking her lips, flipping her hair, and falling asleep on her back in the sun.

This was heaven.

Already, his body was stirring, and he was feeling things that he never knew possible. Who would have thought that this beautiful collection was out there, wandering the world so freely?

Why had he not decided on this hobby long ago?

As his eyes flickered around the commons, he saw the truth. Beauty was everywhere, and now he could focus on it.

There was no one to stop him.

He stayed until she did, blowing off his last class of the day, only to watch her head home. He was so enraptured, that he didn't want to miss a second of observing her. If he did, surely something miraculous and wondrous would happen.

Fortunately for him, her apartment wasn’t far from campus and along the tree lined street. If she turned around, he could dive for cover and not be seen. If caught, it would ruin it all.

In his mind, he already had it all planned out. Not only would he take pictures, but he would study his subjects and find the best of the best.

This woman had piqued his interest and would hold a special place in his heart.

He was sure of it.

As he followed, his excitement grew. His body tightened and his response confused him. In his life, he had never wanted anything more. While his other collections brought him joy, this one made him feel. It filled him and made him so very warm with bliss. It astounded him that his own mother had failed to mention the effect of the opposite sex.

This was an endorphin rush.

It was amazing.

It was… addictive.

Deep in his mind, he knew that he was on the right track to find his next collection. With this response, it had to be right.

There was an inkling of warning, but it was pushed back down into his conscience for the momentary high. For now, that was all that mattered.

Once at her apartment, he noticed that she lived on the bottom floor. This would make it easy. Finding a place to hide in the trees, he waited until she made her next move. This was new to him, so he wasn’t quite sure what to do next.

So, he waited.

Once darkness had come, he was in his glory as he moved even closer to his new subject and prize.

He watched.

Moving as close to her window as he dared, he began taking pictures of her for his books. This subject would have one all of her own. Where usually his collections shared a scrapbook, this beauty would get the royal treatment. He was giddy at the prospect of constructing it. There were pictures of her partially clothed and just about ready to enter the shower.

Yes, she was the one.

Now, he knew for sure.

As he took the final shot with his camera, he stared longingly at the beauty. For the time being, she would be his muse. He was certain that it would lead to many more in the collection.

How could he stop at only one?

Backing away from the window, he made his escape into the night.

His new obsession had begun.

It was going to last his entire life.

Racing back to his apartment, he was overjoyed and exuberant. The energy vibrated through him. Never in his life had he felt this alive and happy.

Something about this woman and the prospect of the hunt, made him feel like he was living the dream. As someone who appreciated the beautiful things in life, he knew deep down that she was his pinnacle.

This was it.

Here was the culmination of everything that he had grown up loving and adoring.

Gone were the trinkets.

Now was the time for his works of art.

As he lay on his bed, his thoughts were focused on one thing. He knew that he needed a strategic plan of action. There needed to be a guideline to tell him where he should begin and how far he could take it.

Were pictures first?

Would they be enough?

He shook his head, as if to fight off the dark ideas bouncing around in his brain. He wanted so much more, but he knew that wasn’t possible.

Yes, pictures would be enough.

After all, he was an artist and nothing more. Then he allowed the darkness a tiny segue into his mind. He was not only a man who appreciated beauty.

He was more...

He was the collector and was destined to have her.

Many Years Later

He watched her get into her car outside the bar, and she was a little bit tipsy. He had to admit that it made everything easier and turned him on even more. Now, all that he had to do was follow her away from there and make his move.

It was all so simple.

She would be the first in his collection.

For years, he’d watched and snapped pictures, but now it was all about the process of completing what he had always longed to do.

Now, he would bring one of them home.

As her car pulled away from the curb, he followed her a few miles to a location where he knew it would be safe. After all, he’d made this trip many times before, in practice for what was to come.

It shocked him how easy it was to get her attention. With the flashing lights, she immediately pulled to the side of the road, not far from her home. There was no doubt that on this deserted stretch, this would be the ideal spot to take her.

No cars would be passing by.

No one would question it if they did.

This plan was perfect.

When she pulled over, he stalked confidently towards the driver’s side window. Staring in, he noticed that there was a look of nerves and fear on her face.

That only made it so much better.

“Have you been drinking, miss?” he asked, as he tried desperately not to snicker or laugh.

She tried to calm herself before answering. If her words weren’t perfect, surely he would know the truth. “Yes, sir. I had two drinks at the bar, but I stopped a few hours ago.” Maybe, if she was lucky, he wouldn’t Breathalyzer her and find out the truth.

After all, what was a little white lie? If it meant keeping her out of jail and the newspapers, it was certainly worth it. If worse came to worse, she’d pull the only big card that was left. There was no doubt that by using her daddy’s name, it would save her from getting in trouble.

“Can you please step out of the vehicle for me, miss?”

She did what he asked, and as she swung her long legs out of the car, her heel caught a piece of gravel and she stumbled. As she practically fell onto the man holding the flashlight, in her heart she knew the truth.

She was screwed.

“Yeah, you’re under arrest, miss.”

He pulled the handcuffs from his jacket pocket and turned her around to fasten her wrists behind her back. When she could no longer see his face, he grinned wickedly in victory.

This was like leading lambs to the slaughter. He should have done this years ago…

“I’m sorry! Please let me go! I won’t drink anymore,” she offered, willing to say anything at that point. Man, her father was going to be pissed off when she called him from the jail.

“You know that I can’t do that, Melissa. You’re going to have to come with me,” he replied, softly.

She wasn’t so drunk that she didn't recognize the sound of lust in his voice. “Wait, how did you know my name?” she asked as her heart began pounding in her chest. “You never asked for my license or registration.”

With the last click of the handcuff, he finally leaned down to her ear as his body pressed against hers. “I’ve been watching you for so very long,” he replied, running his hand up her leg to her hip.

Suddenly, the need to escape overwhelmed her. There were so many things wrong with the entire scenario. Melissa just didn't notice them before. Now that she did, the fear was pounding through her.

His calm laughter broke the silence of the night, drawing her attention, and up rose the possibility of trying to escape. She began struggling, praying that she could break away from him.

Fight or flight kicked in, and she wanted to put as much space between them.

The rage built in him and coated his vision in a fine sheen of blood. His prize was trying to ruin his collection. The last thing that he wanted was to put bruises on her body, but something had to be done, and desperate times called for desperate measures.

Grabbing her by the hair, he slammed her forehead off the roof of the car. As quickly as her struggles began, they ended. Sweeping her up into his arms, he carried her to the trunk of his sedan.

This didn't please him at all.

As he placed her inside, he once more ran his fingers across her pale flesh and to the growing lump on her forehead. Yes, it would eventually heal and not leave a mark on his precious prize, but still, he was irritated at her unwillingness to hand herself over to him. How could he live with himself if he damaged his own collection?

Racing back over to the car, he quickly wiped down the outside and anything that he may have inadvertently touched. He didn't want to give anyone a way to trace him.

Not that they would ever suspect him.

He blended in effortlessly.

He was the boy next door.

Racing back over to his car, he hopped in and pulled away. Tonight was an amazing night, and he was about to bring home the first woman that he ever loved.

Finally, patience had paid off.

A few hours later, she awoke.

Her body was inside some make shift cage. As she tried to sit up, she found that her ankles and neck were tethered with duct tape. Her head swam as she tried to figure out what the hell was happening.

“I was worried about you, Melissa. I thought that maybe you struck your head a little too hard.”

She glanced over towards the voice, as her eyes struggled to adjust to her surroundings. “Where am I?”

His laughter filled the room. “You’re in my home,” he answered as he turned in a circle with his arms out. “I’ve built it just for you and the ones who will join you.”

“Who are you?”

He glanced over at her. “I’m a collector.”

She stared around the concrete room and counted the ten cages. No other ones were filled. She was the only one there. “If you let me go, then I swear that I won’t tell anyone. I don’t know where I am, so I can’t tell the police where you live,” she begged, already hoping that the man could be rationalized with on some level. In the back of her mind, she was memorizing his face. Something about it seemed… familiar.

His laughter said it all.

“Please?”

“You’re a beautiful woman, Melissa, and I am going to take very good care of you. I always do. When I decide to create a collection, I treasure it for a very long time.”

She was horrified.

Yes, she’d seen things like this on the news, but never did she believe that she would end up a victim to such a horrible crime. How did this all happen? Why was she locked in a cage in his basement?

He moved closer to the woman and began snapping more pictures to keep the memories fresh in his mind forever. Now, he could go back and relive this time over and over again.

This was perfect.

“So, you’re going to collect women?” she asked, the horror still evident in her voice. If she could hear it, certainly he could too.

He grinned without offering her a single word.

“Then what?”

That he pondered. Yeah, he couldn’t keep them forever. It would be a financial strain, and he didn't want to damage any of them. “I guess when I finish gathering all my girls, then I’ll do the most responsible thing with all of you.”

She stared at him, her lower lip beginning to quiver. “And that is?” Melissa asked, almost terrified to know.

He shrugged, knowing that he really didn't have many options. “I’ll sell you to someone else that wants to collect or I’ll have to hide you away forever.”

Melissa knew what that meant, and it made her wanted to vomit. When his hand entered the cage to stroke her like a pet, she began to scream.

Again, he smiled. She could call for help all that she wanted. There was no one to hear her or stop him.

He had made sure of that months ago.

“You can yell all you want, Melissa, but it won’t deter me from enjoying you while I can. Finding you and bringing you home took a great deal of work. I plan on taking my time and having fun with my treasure.”

Panic reverberated through her body as she fought against the restraints. She watched him open the front of the cage and pull a hypodermic needle from his back pocket. His handsome features twisted in anger.

“We could have done this the easy way, Melissa, but you had to be difficult.”

She shook her head and tried to avoid the long needle by moving her body as far as she was permitted. God, she couldn’t let him do this! Who knew what was in that hypodermic.

It gave him an iota of pleasure as he shoved it deep into her thigh and pumped her full of drugs.

“Please,” she begged. “Please don’t do this to me. I didn't do anything to you,” Melissa slurred as the drug began to take effect.

He ignored her words, as he straightened her disheveled club wear and waited until it was safe to take her out and play with her. After all, he liked his women to be kept neat and orderly.

“You did lots to me, Melissa. You made me want you and fall in love with you. Now, you have to be mine.”

There was no reply from her, as her head dropped back and her eyes rolled up into her head.

“Welcome to my collection, Melissa. You have the pleasure of being my brunette.”

With that, he set her free of her bonds and took the time to thoroughly enjoy his newly acquired treasure.

Like any good collector would.

Synopsis for Blood Red Rage

Hi all!

I've finished the back cover for Blood Red Rage, and as promised you are the first to read it!
So, here it is and I hope that you're intrigued and can't wait to get your hands on it.

~Blood Red Rage~

Book One
Littlemoon Investigation series.

They're starting anew.

Julian and Tori Littlemoon are venturing out and are now their own bosses. It's a blessing and a curse at the same time.

As they struggle to build up a business and make a name for themselves, they have other problems facing them down.

Someone is collecting women.

It's a new dangerous game, and since they no longer have the power of the FBI to back them up, they’re learning on the fly.
And it isn't easy!
They've been hired to bring home one missing girl, and no one believes that it’ll be anything more than a simple open and shut case. Unfortunately for the team, it leads them deep into the bowels of something far more sinister.

Dark.

Twisted.

Evil.

With the help of the family, and an unexpected ally with a 'gift', they begin to unravel the mystery of who is taking these women to create the ultimate collection.

The truth will be set free, but can they live with the consequences of what is to come?

The chaos is the least of their worries.

Now, the team has a far bigger concern.

It's the Blood Red Rage, and maniac with an appetite to own them all…

As to the release date, it's projected for January 1st, 2014, but I may be giving you all a really fun Christmas present this year....

Look for the prologue to be posted around the 14th of this month for your sneak preview!!!!

Have a great day!

Much Love, Mayhem, and Murder,
Morgan.

Another blustery day...

Morning everyone!
Just popping in to wish you all a good day.
I'm deep in the bowels of Consumed by Wrath (book 8) today. I'm just about done with my final read through this week, and it'll be shipped off to my editor and proofer sometime soon. I hope that when you read it, you fall in love with it as much as I did!

I will say that it has made me laugh, cry, and giggle at Elizabeth being Elizabeth. I'm glad that even after what happened to Ethan, she's managed to stay true to who she is inside.

Also, I posted the newest covers on the pages above. (Click on their tabs and voila!) I just added Redemption is Here (book 9) in the FBI series and Love is Bleeding (book 4) in the Croft & Croft series today. Check them out if you want a sneak peek...
Due to cover issues, the Croft series will be switching it up a little bit. I like to keep my covers consistent (it's the OCD control freak in me) but this time it's out of my power, so from here on out, the Croft books will look a little different. I played with doing fun new covers, but after switching up the FBI series and all of your feedback on you liking the original ones, I went back to them. After all, your opinion matters a lot to me.

Starting Thursday, I'll be doing the last approval of Blood Red Rage (book 1) It's just to make sure all the content is okay and that I'm happy with the cover. The cover for the E book and the paperback will be slightly different, due to formatting, but you'll see that they're very similar and contain all the same elements.

I wanted to thank you all for your awesome reviews on amazon and Goodreads. It helps me gauge the direction of the books, and to see if I'm doing a good enough job with the characters. If you haven't left reviews, please do. I want all the potential readers to see how you all feel about the books, especially those of you that were worried about the threesome aspect of the FBI series. Even if you hate the couple, I still value your opinion, and that's why I also have the Croft series and soon the Littlemoon one. I want everyone to be happy!

Off to finish reading, and then some holiday prepping.
I'm wishing you all much LOVE, MAYHEM and MURDER!

Happy Post Turky-apocalypse!

Greetings all!
Did you survive the yearly gorge and Black Friday?
I did.
Barely!

We feasted, and then collapsed on the couches right after. All in all, it was a fantastic day and I was thankful to be able to spend it with family.
I hope you were all just as lucky!

Well, today it's back to work. I go on hiatus on December 20th, so I need to make sure my work is all done in time. I would much rather be a lump on the couch, but unfortunately, duty and death call. Right now, I'm working on the vampyre series re-release. Book one is getting 200 more pages and a new cover. (see the tab above for the sneak preview)
As soon as that's done tomorrow, I'll be working on the next FBI book. It's written and ready to go, it only needs my final read through before it heads off to editing. I really hope you all love Consumed by Wrath (book 8). It picks up four months after Ethan's abduction, and takes us a little more in-depth into his feelings and his emotions.
I will warn you... I cried three times re-reading it. Maybe it's just me... but if you wept like crazy when you read Devil Hath Come, be prepared.

I also have great news. Julian and Tori's first book is done and ready to go. Editing and proofing are complete, (Thank you most awesome team!) and I'll be reading through it one last time right before Christmas.
I can't wait! Blood Red Rage turned out exactly how I hoped, and I really can't wait to see how you all like it.
It's a look into Julian and Tori's life. It's fun and it's got a twist. Plus, all of you that wanted me to bring back his twin, Justin, well... he's all yours.
I'll be posting the back cover this week sometime.

While on hiatus, I'll be reading. What will I be reading you ask?
Well, the Croft & Croft series. I need to reread it because I begin writing Love is Bleeding(book 4) on January 4th. That's my next project and I can't wait. I did get quite a few questions about the hook at the end of Christmas is Killing, so I figured today would be a good day to address them!

Morgan,
I just finished Christmas is Killing, and I have to know something. The way you ended the book in your tease for the next one, you made it seem like you killed Greyson.
Did you?
I swear I won't tell a soul.
Traci

Well, if I tell you, it'll ruin the beginning of the next book. So, request is denied. I will tell you that the killer in book 4 is hell bent on making the FBI's life a living hell. (Mostly Greyson's)
Although it's not written yet, it's outlined in my head. I can tell you that the book will have the normal FBI/police mystery and the ongoing saga with who is trying to corrupt Greyson Croft. I don't usually give tidbits away, especially before I write the book, only because I sometimes change them as I write them. I will say that someone vital is going to die.
As in 'NEVER COMING BACK'.
I can't tell you who, since I have two people in mind and I need to see how the book flows.
Only time will tell on this one.

Morgan,
Are you really going to 'Blackhawk' your Christmas tree?
Seriously?

Maggie.

I already did. My tree goes up on Black Friday and this year I went with a murderous theme. I found a red tinsel tree, and I did it up Blackhawk style. There are keys all over it. Like the one Ethan gave Elizabeth that she wears around her neck, and also to match something Callen gives her in book 8. I used white feathers from the cover of Darkness of Truth, and there are ravens all over it and a giant one on the top.

Don't believe me?
Well, here you go.

I'm happy with it, but the only thing I don't like is how short it is. It's 6 feet, but we generally do 8 feet tall trees, so to me, it looks tiny.

I will say that this is the tree in my office/lounge. I do have a giant green one with ornaments that the kids made and picked out in our family room. So, don't email me to tell me I'm crazy. I'm already well aware! LOL

Here's a few more questions answered.
Yes, my husband thinks I'm nuts.
As does my family.
It would have had skulls all over it, but I wasn't able to find anything. Maybe next year. I do think that next years tree will be in homage to the Littlemoons. I like to mix it up every year. Plus, I love when someone comes into my office and is caught off guard.
Jingle Bells.

Morgan,
Are you really going to make us wait until January for the next book? I have nothing to curl up with for Christmas. Can't we bribe you?
Janice.

Like Elizabeth, I'm not easily swayed. I will tell you that I'm contemplating a Christmas surprise for all of you. I may release Blood Red Rage early. I'm not promising, but I'm thinking about it.
Stay tuned to find out...

Okay, I need to get back to work. I'm neck deep in murder and the holidays. I hope you all have a great week!

Much Love, Mayhem and Murder,

Morgan.

Blood Red Rage is done.

Good morning!
Happy Turkey Day week!
I'm just popping in to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving week, and to deliver the good news.

Blood Red Rage (book 1) is edited and just about finished with proofing. YAY!
Everyone that has read it is excited about it's release. Julian and Tori are going to be making their debut before we all know it, and so far they're loved!

I can't wait until January 1st, and I hope that you all fall in love with the Littlemoon series as much as I have! I'm so excited that I almost want to release the second book right after it...

HAHAHAHA sorry, but you'll have to wait until June-ish for that one.

I hope everyone is ready for the approaching holiday. (Those of you in the US.) I know I am. I've been baking cookies, pies, and prepping to have the whole family over. I even made butter from scratch.
I kid you not!
I have some secret skills that not everyone knows about...
Anyway, it's a big week in my house. My parents drove the 800 miles to come back to the nest, and my sisters and I have had our celebratory martini's out this past weekend.
We're all set to have some Thanksgiving fun. I hope you all get to be with your families, make memories, and have a good time.
It's my holiday wish for all of you.

We'll be putting up the Christmas tree on Friday, since I don't do Black Friday sales. My Christmas shopping is done, wrapped and put away. I don't like fist fights and getting bashed in the head with the three dollar toaster, to get the flat screen TV.
I like violence, but not that kind...

So, after gorging ourselves silly on Thursday, I'll help the kids decorate the two trees, and make my husband go outside to put up all the Christmas lights (Picture National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation) and you'll get an idea of what it's like in my house.
I can't wait.

I love this time of the year. All the love and mayhem, that's light on the murder.
You can't blame a girl!

Anyway,
Happy Turkey Day!

See you on the other side of the season, ten pounds heavier and going through sugar detox!

Much Love, Mayhem and Murder,

Morgan

Book covers and updates.

As you can imagine, I get a lot of emails asking about what's coming up.
Well, I've added new tabs to the top of the page. You can now get a sneak peek at the covers and
the release dates.
So, pop on up there and check it out!

Much Love, Mayhem and Murder,

Morgan

Good morning!

Happy Hump day!

I hope you're all having a great week! For those of you in the US, you're probably prepping and getting read for the upcoming Turkey day. Me too! I can't wait to spend it with family, as we gorge on delicious food.
For those of you outside the states, I wish you could all be here! I would love to share my turducken feast with you!

As we roll into the holiday season, I'm sure we're all going to be busy. I know that I am. Currently, Blood Red Rage (book 1) is off being edited and proofed. It's due back the day before Turkey day, and I can't wait to do my final read through and stick a fork in it!
So far, my editor and proofer are enjoying it, and I only hope that when you read the Littlemoon series, you will too.
It's a little different and not my customary book. It still has mystery, the same fun characters, and intrigue, but it's my foray into the paranormal.
Now, don't panic.
I don't go crazy and have creatures that are bizarre and science fiction-y all over the place. I promise. In Blood Red Rage, we get to hang out with Justin Littlemoon. (Remember him from Darkness of Truth?) Well, he's back and helping his family build up the new business.
Only, he's about to have a life altering thing happen.
Yeah, you guessed it.
Love.
I hope you enjoy the relationship that forms between him and Detective Vivian Graves. She's fun, smart, and a little bit different. (Hint Hint)

That's all I can tell you for now, but there will be a synopsis coming soon, I promise!

What else am I working on?
Well, I'm in the process of getting my Vampyre series re-released. The titles have changed, and they're getting new details and more pages. I'm rewriting the first one, Dangerous Revelations right now. The cover is ready and it just has to be wrapped, edited and proofed. That's slotted sometime in February.

I love hearing from you. Nothing makes me smile more than seeing an email from my readers. I also love when you tell me what you think should happen. I'm so glad that you've all taken a personal investment in my books from Lyzee to Emma and Tori too. They feel like the girlfriends that we all want in our lives.
I sincerely hope that they make you smile, like they do me.

Keep reading and have a great holiday season!

I'm doing a Blackhawk themed Christmas tree this year, so maybe there will be pictures....

Much love, Mayhem and Murder,

Morgan.

More funnies...

Isn't it the truth?

This was sent over today by Rachel. It made me laugh. Please feel free to share. I've seen some floating on FB and they crack me up!

Who doesn't want a little bit of Ethan against them?

I certainly do!

Back to working on Consumed by Wrath (book 8). The details will be done by tonight! I can't wait!

Much love, Mayhem and Murder,

Morgan.

Happy Weekend!

Hi all! I hope you're having a really great day. I am! I know saying this is likely to jinx me, but I'm actually a head of schedule for the month. Yeah, I said it. May the schedule Gods have mercy on my soul.
I got some really great emails this week, but one that I loved so much that I'm going to bring it up here. Thank you, Leta for your email. I seriously was so glad to get it. I love when my readers contact me (YES, I answer each one myself. They come right to my phone instantly.) Thank you for your comments and your sweet words. I appreciate them.

I'm about halfway through the detail adding for Consumed by Wrath, and I have to say that I love it. I've cried, I've laughed, and I've honestly found myself enthralled with the audacity of Elizabeth. I think she's thrown out some hysterical one liners in this book, and I can't wait to have you read them. As usual, Lyzee is up to her old antics.

Thank God! Almost losing Ethan rattled them all...

Also, the newest version of Deep Dark Mire (book 4) should be available this weekend. I just sent it over ten minutes ago for upload. So, if you want to newest version, it's clean and ready!

Since I have some time, I thought I could post some of the questions that I received this week. It's been a while, and I figure it's time.

Morgan,
I went to go buy your vamp series and it's not available. What happened? Please tell me that it's as spicy as your FBI series. I'm dying to read it.
Susan.

Yeah, the vampyre series was pulled.
Here's the story behind it. When I was just starting out, I was with a publishing company for my first three books. The Junction, Serial Sins and The Blood Betrayal. I wasn't happy with them, but I signed a contract where they owned my books for 7 years. That's why you can go out to amazon and see books that you can't buy, or books that are ridiculously overpriced.

Someone got angry and I was slammed by a reviewer because she purchased the three vampyre E-books, but when she went to buy the paperback version of book one, it was out of print. (Why she bought books 2-4 without seeing if book 1 was available, I'll never understand...) The ONLY copy available was by an independent seller, who was asking 228.00 for it. So, she got mad at me. Only, I have nothing to do with it. If the publisher who owns that book decides to cancel it, I can't do anything about it. I don't make any money from the person(s) selling used copies of my books, and I can't control the price they set.

SO, until I own the first book in the series (It's coming soon- 2014) I pulled the rest of the books. You'll see them popping back up, once I can offer all of them to my readers. They will have new names and new titles, so be ready!

As to the spicy quotient in that series. If that was your way of asking if there is a threesome, the answer is yes. The vampyres are a lot more free wheeling (as is Elizabeth, apparently) There are threesomes, but not in the first book. In fact, it doesn't happen until the second one. So, if you just like a good vampyre mystery but are squeamish with the ménage element, you can read book one and stop there. If you aren't freaked out with the sex scenes, there will be 10 books in that series for you to enjoy. Up to book 6 is complete and the releases will start up in 2014. I just don't have the dates quite yet. (Stay tuned for that...)

Morgan,
I heard a rumor that you're putting out so many books next year because you're planning to retire. Are you ending your series?
Please say no!
Jessica

Yeah, that's really not true, so NO! I don't know where you heard that, but I'm not retiring. I'm still young and in my thirties. (Okay, I'll be 40 in January) I have no intention of calling it quits or ending a series. I have a 'Sinner' trilogy that only has three books, and the vampyre series is only slotted for 10, but other than that, the others will run as long as I have people interested in reading them. I'm not saying I'll keep them going indefinitely, but I promise that there's no end in sight. I have a lot of Elizabeth angst still left in me, and Emma and Tori just got their stories.
Fear not, there is more coming.

Morgan,
I'm sure you get this a lot, but do you really write the books in real time or do you have a stockpile to pull them from?
Dena.

Right now, the ONLY books that are completed are Consumed by Wrath (book 8), Blood Red Rage (book 1), Lost & Broken (book 2), Sinner Repent (book 1), and the first six vampyre books (Because they were already released)  I generally try to have a book done 3-5 months before it gets to the reader. There's two rounds of my read through, detailing, and now an editor and proofer. So, that takes time, two weeks per cycle. It adds up. My books are pretty much done up to June next year with the exception of the Croft & Croft book, Love is Bleeding (book 4). I plan on starting that January 1 for an April release. I wish I had a stockpile, so I can sleep in on a weekend! Thus the reason I have been up since two a.m.)

I haven't forgotten about the photos from my trip, I'm just waiting for my husband to email them to me. Fear not, they are coming!

Back to work!
I have cookies to bake for Turkey day and a Turducken to plan. Be safe this weekend, and don't forget to get your murder on!

Much Love, Mayhem and Murder,

Morgan.

Rachel reminded me...

I got an email from my proofer, Rachel, and it reminded me of some of the things I was sent recently. I thought I would share them, since they made me snort.

I hope they make you laugh too. Apparently, there are Elizabeth-esque cards floating around. If you find any, send them. I love getting a giggle over them!

Why choose? Have them both...

Ahhhh the truth comes out. The gig is up for the haters.

Enjoy!

Much love, Mayhem and Murder,

Morgan.

Back from my spooktastic trip.

Morning all!

I'm back from haunted Gettysburg and finishing up some work. It was a really nice trip. I had a great time, and if you ever get a chance, visit the Baladerry Inn. The innkeepers, Judy and Ken were amazing!
The room was perfect.
The food was terrific, and it was fun!

I had a lot of great inspiration while I was there. I would like to report that I didn't see a ghost at the Inn, and that was more than okay. The battlefields and cemetery... yeah, that was a totally different story. I happened to snap quite a few photos.
Some were just what they appeared to be, and others were more than expected.
I'll be uploading them this week to share. Let's just say that when they tell you that the battlefield is haunted, it certainly is.
I'm a believer.
We visited Sachs Bridge (where men were hung for treason)
The National Cemetery. (It's both amazing and heartbreaking)
Then the battlefields. (Spooky!)

If you ever walk the streets, make sure you visit Shriver house. It was the best tour that I've ever had, even though my giant of a husband had to duck or hit his head. (Yes, he did repeatedly.) Back then they didn't build houses for men that are 6'6".

Tomorrow I'll post some of the pics, including the three that showed more than just scenery. (I'll have you know that I discovered the 'additions' at two in the morning and scared the hell out of myself!)

Back to work!
Deep Dark Mire is in for a re-edit.
Blood Red Rage is officially done and going to edit tomorrow.
Lost & Broken is just about done. I'm writing the last two chapters today!
My how time flies when you're having fun!

Have a great day!

Much Love, Mayhem and Murder,

Morgan.

Going to get my spook on!

Morning all! Happy almost weekend!

I'm popping in to wish you all a great day, and to tell you that I am off on an adventure. As I've said before, the Littlemoon series is going to have a spooky and paranormal twist to it. In honor of that, I need a little inspiration, so, what am I going to do?

I'll tell you what.

My husband and I are taking a little haunted interlude. For our anniversary, we're headed to one of America's most haunted B&B's smack dab in Gettysburg Pennsylvania.
To say I'm excited would be an understatement.
I have ALWAYS wanted to visit and stay at the Baladerry Inn. It's on the edge of the battlefield and was used as a Confederate field hospital. When I saw it on the travel channel on 'Haunted Destinations', I had to see it.

So, in honor of 16 years of marriage, my husband gave me the gift that keeps on giving. Some women get jewelry, I get ghosts. Yeeeee Haw!

I can't wait.
Okay, enough about the spooks.

Blood Red Rage (book 1) in the Littlemoon series is heading off to editing. It shall be delivered to the team on the thirteenth and ready to go for January. Since no one has seen it but me, I hope that they like it. I personally love it. The second book Lost & Broken, is just about done. I'll be wrapping it up by Friday next week.
Then, it's off to add details and clean up Consumed by Wrath (book 8). Before you know it, it'll be time for another FBI installment.

Man, the time is flying!

Thank you for the emails, the comments and keep posting them on Amazon! I love seeing them and replying! You all are the best! I have the greatest fans ever!

Enjoy your weekend. If I find any ghosts, you'll be the first to know!

Much Love, Mayhem and Murder,

Morgan.

Morning !

After meeting with my editor yesterday, we went over the book schedule for next year, and there have been some changes. I'll be posting the updated book list for next year this weekend.
I hope you'll all still be as excited as I am once you see it!

Plus, I'm going to be starting up a new blog tour in January. I can't wait for that either!

Thank you all for the comments and questions that you've sent! I have read them all and will be posting them soon. If you have any questions, please contact me. I love hearing from you!

Sorry for the short post today!
I'm buried in killing and on a tight schedule! I'm hoping to wrap writing the second Littlemoon book next week, so bear with me! I'll be back to give you more updates as soon as I can!

A little shout out to Phoenix on amazon. He wrote the most awesome review for Christmas is Killing. I challenge everyone to dethrone it! Go ahead, give it your best shot! Phoenix's reviews make me laugh every time!

Much Love, Mayhem and Murder,

Morgan.
