Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a beautiful holiday season! Myself and my family spent lots of time together, and I am READY to head back to work on Tuesday. I actually missed my office. It's all covered in cobwebs and dust.

Okay, that's exaggerating, but you know what I mean.
What's up first for me?
Friday, Oracle Saving is releasing, and you'll get the first book of 2017! I can't wait for you to read it. I just did my final approval, and it reminded me how much I love Avalon and her makeshift band of saviors.

I even cried a few times.
So, that being said, there is death in this book. Have tissues ready, and you'll see what I mean. I can't tell you more.

I also want to give you a heads up, again, about Stalked by the Past, and Dying to Love, the 17th and 18th FBI books out Feb 3rd and 4th. They will have a cliff hanger at the end, and I don't really like doing them, but had I not, Dying to love would have been about 1200 pages by itself. Let's not go crazy.
hahahhaahah.

Back to the book.

When you read Dying to Love, you'll get it. I needed something so earth shattering, as the team went into book 19. Revenge has Come is Bonnie's return, and you need to trust me to lead you through it. I promise it will have a happy ending.
For those of you freaking out at what I may have done, if you read Kiss of Souls, the 7th Littlemoon book, you'll see something awesome. It's actually a crossover book.

Yes, you read that right. Elizabeth and Callen are called in to help Tori save her brother. Instead of a cameo, they have a huge role in the book.

You'll also get a little relief from the cliffhanger in Dying to Love. I pretty much tell you how its going to work out. So, if you read all my series, in the order they are written, you're golden. If you don't...

Sorry.
HAHAHAHA.

After the book release, I'm going to be starting Oracle Haunting, and I can't say anything, since the prior one hasn't released. All I can say is after the fallout, I'm looking to lighten everyone's spirits. It should be fun.
I know I can't wait!

I really love my job!

So, as I dust off my keyboard this week, have yourself  a blessed, safe, and love filled New Years, from my family to yours.

Much love, mayhem, and murder.
Let's get 2017 started right.

Post election day.

Do the Election results have you down?
Are you excited?

Well, I have good news!

The next two books in the FBI series are up for pre-order.

The fallout continues.
Elizabeth LaRue is still licking her wounds from ‘letting’ The Butcher escape. He may be dead and in his grave, but now so is her career.
With a new case, she only hopes that she can bring this Lazarus back to life. With the help of some local vice cops, Charlie LaRue, and Gabe Rothschild, Elizabeth is poised to take back her life and make her career in the FBI count.
‘It ain’t over ‘til it’s over.’
And she’s going down swinging.
Her professional life isn’t the only thing upside down and stirred up. With Chris at her side, continuing his role as best friend, something is changing between them. Their roles have flipped, their feelings are morphing, and two ‘orphans’ in DC are moving closer together.
Is that a good thing or the biggest mistakes of their lives?
Only time will tell.
Hookers.
Crazies.
And Miss Kitty, OH, MY!
By the time this case is over, it’s going change fate so many years down the road. What happens in your past, doesn’t always stay there. Sometimes, being Stalked by the Past can have deadly consequences.

The past is never the past.
Elizabeth Whitefox-Blackhawk is learning that better than any person. With a secret that she and Chris Leonard carry, she’s trying to balance her life, the men she loves, and a case that is reminding her of something that happened in her past.
Hookers.
Blood.
Dead children.
It’s getting to be too much for even her.
With each rose left for her and each letter scrawled on the wall, she’s sinking deeper and deeper into the panic. If the truth comes out, she’s beyond screwed. Once, she’d battle through, but time, cases, and her personal life are taking a toll. Elizabeth is marked to die by the hands of someone who really wants to love her.
--Love her to death.
All that stands between her and the grave is the men she loves more than her own life.
But when the truth comes out, who will be left standing?
Can there be an Elizabeth Whitefox-Blackhawk without Callen and Ethan?
Or will she be left Dying to Love.

You can find them here and here.

They will be out for release in Feb 2017.

Have a great week, and don't forget to leave some reviews! Show an author you love her :)

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan.

Morning!

Happy Election day!

I hope everyone goes out and votes. I know we're all really sick of the whole thing, but we're almost there! Hang in there. It will be done in a day!

We made it!

How is the newest Vampyre book? I hope you're enjoying it. This week I received two messages about how the readers didn't think they'd like them, since vampyres have been done so many times, but they did.
These aren't your normal vamps. I swear. They are going to entertain you and you'll have fun every second of the way. Who doesn't like some sexy threesome fun?

I know Jolie is a woman after my own heart.

Now for some more news.
I've been doing this for almost 3/4 of a decade. I write, I release, I keep going. Well, something has to change. After talking it over, mulling it over, and losing sleep over it, I've had to come to a conclusion. The price of my books are going up.
Here's why.
I currently offer all my book for 3.99. I swore I'd never raise the price, but something has happened. I've been pirated. Someone has been stealing my books. (not one person, but a few.) They are selling them to bootleg companies that are illegally offering them on their websites. I've had to hire an attorney to begin getting them taken down.
In order to be able to pay a retainer, since we're talking about 25 of my 43 books being stolen, it's going to have to come from somewhere. I also have a few readers who buy my books, and return them within the 7 day window to amazon. They are stealing too.
It's been getting worse, so I am having to hire my attorney to go after them too. And he will.

Here's my breakdown.
At 3.99, I get paid 2.70 a book. Amazon keeps almost 1.30. Seems fair. They distribute and handle releasing my books. Of that 2.70 that's left, I have to pay taxes.
Yeah, I know. Yippee.
I lose about 1.00 per book to taxes.
That leaves me 1.70 a book.
Out of that 1.70 a book, I have to pay for editing. Each book gets 3 rounds of editing.
I release 12 books a year. That's a whole lot of editing.
Then there are book covers, and cover art.
That takes me down to about .70 cents a book left.
Then promotion.
That takes me down to about .15 cents a book.
Now, I have to find a way to pay for the attorney's fees for the people who are stealing from me. Unfortunately, like with any business, when people do illegal things, like steal, pirate, or rob a business, the rest of the consumers have to carry the burden. So, I'm going to have to up my book prices to 4.99 to cover the legal fees that I now have to handle.

I am so damn sorry.
I hate every single second of this. From the start, I didn't want to charge more than 3.99. For the longest time, that was feasible. I never counted in the fact that people would steal from me. That breaks my heart. I figured that I would be able to keep it up, since I don't draw a salary. Clearly. at .15 cents a book, I do this for the love of writing. I live off my husband's salary, and this was to give good people quality books that they deserved to get at good prices, but now I'm having to dip into the money that I use to buy groceries, pay for my kids doctor's appointments, and our home bills.
Until this moment, I've never had to do that.
Now, since people feel it's okay to steal, and one book doesn't hurt anyone, let's really think about that. I have 50 people stealing from me each month just in returned books they've read and sent back to Amazon.
That's 200.00 a month.
2400.00 a year that I have to find to recoup somewhere. As of this moment, I've just been using my husband's paycheck to cover it.
Now I have to add in a lawyer.
that's 5000.00 a year.

See how this is looking?
I never thought that i'd become a bestselling author. I wrote for fun. Now that I have, I've seen that there are so many issues I never thought about.

So, starting after the Oracle book in January, I'll be increasing my book prices by one dollar. I know it's not fair to any of you, but I have three choices. Cut back on books, make them smaller, or do the increase.

I'm sorry.
I actually cried over all of this.
I apologize to my readers who are on a budget who now have to shell out one more dollar because of the dishonest, mean, cruel people out there. But Karma will prevail. WHEN they are caught, I will lower the price back down. For any book under 500 pages, they will stay 3.99.
For any books over 500 pages, they will be 4.99.

Again, I hope you forgive me.
This has been a hard blog to write.
I hate that I've done it.

I'm going to go write Kiss of Souls now, and try to forget that I've had to raise the price of my books when I promised I wouldn't.
For those of you on Kindle Unlimited, they will still be free.

I hope you keep reading my books, but I understand if you don't.
I'm truly sorry.

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

A very sad Morgan.

Are you ready?

Tomorrow is vampire day!!!
Dangerous Influence is coming out!

You can find it here.

There are only two more books after this one in the series. Next month is the 6th book, and next year the series wraps. If you haven't gotten to know Jolie, Flynn, and Jacques, what are you waiting for?

I promise this isn't the normal vampire tale.
Jolie Harcourte kicks ass.

Warning! Adult situations, erotica, and M/F/M sex scenes.

Centuries pass and yet one thing remains the same, we are predators and they are the hunted. What happens when the lines become blurred and the killers are now the only creatures who stand between humans and death?

It’s Christmas and killing is in the air. Detective Flynn Brogan has a new case tossed into his already vampyre filled life. It’s one he can’t seem to figure out.
Enter in the love of his life.
A pregnant Doctor Jolie Harcourte has been asked to step in and help the men get a lead on this tricky killer. Again, reminding Flynn of the case that started it all. Once more, the detectives are on the hunt for a killer frequenting clubs. This time, it had undertones of BDSM.
As they chase a bondage-loving lunatic, Flynn is forced to make the ultimate sacrifice for his mates. He has to give up the last thing he has in life in order to save his children, his woman, and himself.
His new immortality has strings attached, and Flynn doesn’t have a clue as to what is coming.
WHO is coming...
Death’s controlling this ride, and before it’s over, Detective Flynn Xavier Brogan will be a new man.

Literally.

Their mistress has one thing on her sadistic mind.

Owning them all with her Dangerous Influence.

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan.

Boo!

Happy Halloween from my family to yours!

I hope you get out there tonight, hand out candy, and get your spook on! The veil is at its thinnest tonight. Celebrate the dark, celebrate the scary, and celebrate the ancestors of long past.

See you on the other side.

Spooky greetings, love, and mayhem,

Morgan.

Happy fall day!

Brrrrr!
Baby, it's cold outside!
I'm snuggled up in my office, working on Dying to Love, and I thought I'd pop in to wish you all a Happy Halloween!
I hope you get to have fun, eat candy, and watch out for the spooks and things that go bump in the night!

So, I get asked a lot the order of my books. If you head out to www.morgankelley.com, you'll see on the second page all of my books, by series, their covers, and the order. Now that there are 42 novels out there, it's getting harder to remember the order.
Yes, I'm getting old!

What's coming up?
Next month, and December, you have the fifth and sixth vampyre books. We're going to be getting ready to see Jolie have her child, Death is all up in their business, and Flynn, he's not going to be the same man as he used to be. He's going to sacrifice for the woman he loves, and to protect their family.
I loved writing these books. My vamp series isn't the most popular of all of my series, but it's near and dear to my heart. It's the very first book I ever wrote. After a publisher picked me up, and then made my life miserable with telling me how to write my books, I bought the rights back, and released it again. (only book one. The rest are brand new.)
The Dangerous series is fun, it's got a sexy threesome in it, and it's not the typical vamp books. Jolie is the boss. She's the alpha, and she's faced so much in her long life.
If you love sexy mystery, you will like these. There's not just sex and blood. There's a mystery to be solved too.
Flynn is the sexy cop, and he's always finding vampyres are a pain in his butt.
Jacques is the faithful guardian who would die for the woman he loves--but it's unrequited--at first.

So, they are December's books, and here is the whole series with their new covers...

Then January will be here.
What's coming up then?

ORACLE!
We're going to find out what happens to Jagger and his broken heart.

Then we have the back to back FBI books in Feb. The flashback and the present day novel. This is going to be a three book arc, so buckle in, and trust me to drive the bus. In the flashback, you're going to find out what really happened between Chris and Lyzee all those years ago. You're going to get a peek into their past, and what they do will  cause havoc in their present.

Then you'll have the final book in this arc when Bonnie returns in July.

The family won't be ready for her. Not in the least, and it's going to cost someone their life at Bonnie's hands.

March is going to be all about Greyson Croft. He and the mob family are back, and there are some new additions to their family. There's crime, anger, and lawlessness in Vegas, and he's the man to fix it.

By the time spring hits, you'll be ready for some spooky fun. It'll be Littlemoon time once again, and they're back to get Tori's brother out of the worst kind of predicament ever! The ghosts are a plenty, and they are now haunting the office.
And one is unwelcome. Can you forgive people when they've broken you? Tori is going to find out.

In May, there's no book release. Sorry, all! But I'm gearing up to start the cycle all over again!

We'll have another Oracle in June, and it'll be a haunting good time, but not in the USA. We're taking a trip to Ireland to really meet some powerful psychics.

Then Bonnie is back in July for the last part of the three book arc. She's got an ax to grind, and it's with Elizabeth Blackhawk. Elizabeth is coming off the worst case of her life. It makes the butcher look like a fun time. Can the family fix the mess they have internally before Bonnie makes it hell all over again?
Or is this the end of the trio?
I guess we'll have to wait and find out. Revenge has Come, and it's going to be bloody.

August is mid summer, and I'm always ready for another Croft book. Who knows what Vegas will bring?
I do....

Dimitri gets his story, and we're going to find out what makes him tick. Will there be a woman for him? Yes, and she's going to have to withstand the storm...

I hope you're looking forward to the next few months. I know I am! Tell a friend, make them read a book, and leave a review. In order to do my job, you guys have to do yours! Review, review, review!

Next year, there's going to be a HUGE giveaway. I never sign books. Ever. One person, in honor of my 50th novel being released, will get a huge surprise. They will get a full series of their choice, in paperback, signed, and sent to them from me. There will be little prizes, and I'm thinking someone will get a kindle full of my books.

We shall see.
Morgan is in her lair, and she's working on the fun!

Have a great weekend! Leave a review. It's like a hug from you to me!

Much love, mayhem, and murder,
MK.

It's release day!

I love release day! It never gets old.
Even though i'm dropping a book every month (sometimes twice) I get this giddy feeling the day it rolls around.
Here's my baby.
I hope you love her just as much as I do.
Take her into your kindles. Treat her nice, and make sure you buckle up. Elizabeth is feisty, the team is working a hard one, and the men in her life...the boys are behaving badly.

Welcome to the fun.

Here is Act of Blood!

Enjoy!
Much love, mayhem, and murder,

MK

Two new covers!

Happy Hump Day!

I'm still on vacation, but I had a few emails I had to handle. In two of them, I received the mock-up of the next two Oracle and Littlemoon covers.

I'm so excited.
I love when I get a cover. I write the book after I see the cover, so that means it's time to get to work! I can't wait to go back to the grind!

Here's the Oracle cover. It's book 4 in the series, and won't be out until summer 2017

There may be some color changes, but that's basically it. I think I might have my name put in red too. Not that it matters. You all know who I am!

Here's the new Littlemoon cover. This book will be out April 2017

There are some ravens on the cover, so it may, or may not, have some Blackhawk cameos. Hint. Hint.

Well, back to my vacationing.
Thank you all for your emails and reviews for Forbidden Secrets. If you haven't left one, could you pop on out to Amazon and keep an author in a job?

Thank you, and as always...
Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan.

Forbidden Secrets is here!

Happy Release day to me and all of my readers!

It's here! It seems like so long ago I wrote this book, but it was only in Spring. I'm so glad it's finally releasing. I can't wait to work on the next book and get your feedback!

You can find the Ebook link here.

Forbidden Secrets has a cliffhanger at the end, and you'll see why when you read it. There was no way to end this book without one.
I do promise it will be resolved in the next book, and it's not a relationship cliffhanger. It's a story arc that I've been carrying a few books now.

So, get your copy here, and be ready for one heck of a ride. We have spooks, possessions, haunted houses, steamy sex, and a whole lot of badassery going on.

The Littlemoons are back, and they have one heck of a story to tell.

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan.

PS. Please...please...please... leave a review.

Fall nominations.

Hi all!!!

One of my readers informed me I've been nominated for an indie award for The Killing Times.

I'm so excited.

If any of my readers would like to go out and nominate the book to get me in the finals, I'd appreciate it.  Hint hint..go vote. Lol

There's an award if I win, and I'll be raffling it off here on the blog to give it to one of my readers.
Getting to do my job is award enough. I'll pass off the prize to you, and toss in another gift card of my own as a thank you.

So, please take a few minutes to nominate me and The Killing Times for the award.

Here's the link.

Thank you in advance!!!!

I hope you're enjoying Dark Justice!!!!  Don't forget to leave a review.

Much love, mayhem, and murder,
MK

Release day!!

Today is release day for the new Croft Series!!!

I am so excited!
It's not secret that this is one of my favorite couples. Greyson Croft is modeled after someone near and dead to my heart, right down to the scar on his cheek. (My hubby has one under his facial scruff). When the original Croft Series was finished, I didn't want to let Emma and Greyson go. I didn't feel like their story was finished.

There was so much more, but not as cops.
Greyson has always been a tad bit gangster-ish, and I figured why not let the real man out for the world to see.

So, The mob family was created.
I hope you love it! When you're done, drop me a line and leave a review to let me know how you liked it.

Enjoy my brand new series. I hope I did it justice!

You can find it here.

The paperback is here.

ENJOY!!!!

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan

Release day part two...

Hopefully, by now, you're reading some Oracle Seeing, and having a great time. Well, I just got up to start working (I know...I have weird hours.) and I saw something on Amazon.

Here is the pre-order for the next Littlemoon book out in September. You can find it here.

Everhart Rose meets his match, and he's in for one hell of a battle to figure out if his life can turn around, or if he's stuck in the same old quagmire.

I hope you enjoy it!!!

Forbidden Secrets
Coming Sept 9th 2016

Book six in the Littlemoon Investigations series.

Lennox Easton has one hell of a problem. Someone wants her dead. Her whole family has been eradicated in one single decade, and she’s the last woman standing. It’s all hers, and there’s nothing she wants more than to escape it all.

Yes, she’s rich, entitled, and the talk of the town, but not everything is what it seems. Lennox is about her art. She’s about the peace, and then…she’s about one very cranky man.

When she busts into Littlemoon Investigations, she needs their help. Her time is running out, and she knows it won’t be long. She’s marked to die.

To make it worse, her house is haunted by something so sinister, that might end her too. She’s beyond help. She’s desperate.

Everhart Rose has one goal in life. It’s to be a damn good father. He’s struggled for the last few years, trying to be the best dad to Ivy. There are days he’s winning, and days he’s losing. When he runs headlong into Lennox Easton, she ruins his day.

The socialite is just like the rest.
Spoiled.
Bratty.
Rotten.

He’s hell bent on hating her, even if she does everything right. There is no way he’s letting down his guard.

The team takes the case, they go in, and what they find will rock Lennox’s world. She’s hated and because of her blood, her family, and the sins she had nothing to do with, she’s going to die. Hope is running out.

Time is ticking away.

Will the one man, who can save her, stop hating her, long enough to see that she’s not as horrible as he thinks?

Or will Easton Manor and the Forbidden Secrets be her painfully bloody end?

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan.

Oracle Seeing is now available!

Here is the ebook.

Have a great reading day!!!!!!

Next week Oracle is coming!

Morning, all!

It's a week until Oracle Seeing releases. I can't wait. Lucian and Bishop are two of my favorite characters. They rank right behind Elizabeth, Ethan, and Callen, and Greyson and Emma.
I'm about to write the third book next week, and I'm contemplating keeping them.
LOL.

Yes, like a pet I found outside, I think i'm going to keep them in the series. I know right now you're thinking....'What is Morgan talking about?' Well, you'll find out next week on Friday when the book releases.

As I was writing the story, I really felt like their story wasn't done. When I first wrote The Killing Times, it had a different ending. It ended with Ethan taking the job as sheriff of Salem and Elizabeth becoming mayor. It was meant to be a single book, a standalone. There was never meant to be an FBI series. As I wrote 'The End', something didn't feel right.
It felt incomplete, so against best judgment (and some friends who told me I was crazy) I rewrote the ending. Ethan and Elizabeth had more story to tell. Well, that was 2013, and here we are, 3 years and 16 books later, and I have that same feeling.

So, what's coming?
I have no clue, and sometimes, that's the best part of being a writer. You sit down, you start writing, and you let the story tell itself. I think this book will be my 45th novel. Honestly, I've lost count. It's been a fast three years of writing. Lucian and Bishop will have to take the lead on this one, and I trust them. It's their story to tell, and we're going to get to watch it unfold.

I can't wait.
I hope you can't wait either.

Here is the link to the kindle pre-order.

Next week, I'll post the link to the paperback version. (Yes, these release 4 days early so a reader can get it the same day Amazon releases the kindle version--sometimes earlier.)

Well???

How did you like it?
Most of you have finished Blood Shall Run by now, and I'm hoping that you enjoyed the beginning of Boone Savage's story with Merry.

If not, fear not. I won't post any spoilers here! I'll be a good girl.
I just wanted to thank those of you who left reviews. I really appreciate it. I'm halfway to Amazon's required amount for promotion, so keep reading and keep reviewing!!!!

Oracle Seeing is coming next month! In fact, it's like 3 weeks away. I hope you enjoy the next book! Bishop and Lucian are two of my all time favorite characters. I fell in love with them when I wrote their story. They will be around for more books!

Have a great day! I'm off to the office to work on the next Littlemoon book, Forbidden Secrets. It's going off to Rachel for editing in 2 weeks, so I need to clean it up for her.

Today is also puppy day. I'll post pictures here and on my Facebook page. We're getting a new puppy. His name is Jethro, and he's arriving tonight. I can't wait to share him with all of you! I'm so freaking excited I can't stand it!!!!!

Anyway,

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

Morgan.

YAY!

The next Littlemoon book is done!
After a long 8 days, I've just wrapped Forbidden Secrets!
I can't wait for you to read it.

Tomorrow I do the final read through of the next FBI book, Blood Shall Run. I hope you're in the mood for a trip to New Orleans to meet Boone. I promise he will be worth it. Merry is in for one heck of a ride.

For all of you who contacted me on my FB page to tell me not to kill any series, I appreciate it :)
As for ending a series...As long as the books get 20-25 reviews, and Amazon keeps promoting me, I have plenty of time to keep writing. I want them to continue. They are like children to me. They take a lot of love and fostering to come out just right :)

So thank you to everyone who went out and left a review. I know it's not always fun, and sometimes it takes effort, but it really helps. It keeps me doing my job. I hope you all continue your reviews, even if they're not 4 or 5 stars. I need your feedback.
I'll be looking at the reviews and working on next year's schedule this weekend. I'll post it next week.

Have a great Memorial Day to all my fellow Americans in case I don't get to blog again.

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

MK

Another week...

Happy nearly Memorial Day, all!
It's another week, and I'm wrapping up the next Littlemoon book, Forbidden Secrets. It has been a lot of fun to write. I really like Everhart Rose, and Lennox Easton. She's an interesting character.
I hope you enjoy it.

Something was brought up on my FB page, and I thought I'd bring it up here since it's very important to me.
Reviews. I know most of you hate leaving them. I get it. I don't like it either. I always feel like I have to write something fascinating, or I have to be clever. Still, I do it. Here's why.

Last month, when I released Haven of Nightmares, I got tons of feedback in email and on fB, yet, with selling crazy amounts of copies (thousands), it received 10 reviews. That's it. I know more people read it. The kindle Unlimited tells me how many pages each month. Still, it barely received a review. Less than 1% of you left one.

As a writer, who bases my following years books on feedback, I have to assume you didn't like it. With very little feedback, I have to assume you're only reading that series to fill in the time. So, I've made a decision. I'm going to start cutting back.
Honestly, it kills me to do this. I love my job, but Amazon won't promote me unless I have 25 + reviews  per book. That means I have to go out and start promoting, which means I have to stop writing to do it. I gave you guys 12 books this year. Most authors give you 2 max, unless it's a serial where you pay per chapter.
It upsets me.
I work 16 hour days to get these books out to you. My team works tirelessly to make sure they are edited well, and ready for you to read. It's a huge undertaking for one book. It's ridiculous for 12.
So, next year, I was going to give you guys 13 books, but I can't do it. I don't know what books to focus on, since I'm not getting reviews. It's awesome to get a review on a series, but you have to review each book, or there's no point. Amazon is working against indies like me.
It sucks, but it's the rules of the game.

I had a huge year planned. Another double release (Again, less than 15 reviews for them each of those books too) and I really wanted to give you 1200 more pages of the FBI series. If Amazon doesn't promote my books, and I have to start paying for each book promotion, one thing happens.
The price goes up.
I like to give you guys each 500-600 page book for 3.99. That's darn hard. Where a lot of authors are making money by charging per chapter (one made 42.00 for ONE book by the time the chapters were out and it was the same amount of pages as mine )

I really hope the reason you're not leaving review is time constraint, and that you don't hate my books, but I don't know anymore. I've begged, placed it in the back of the books, and pretty much offered up my soul for reviews.
I'm going to have to cut out the Littlemoon series, possibly drop the vamps, and even lose the Oracle series if my reviews don't start picking up. This isn't about me, guys. This is about how tough Amazon makes it for us indies.

If you read it, please review it. If it's not a 4 star, so? Not a 5? Not a big deal. At least leave some clue that I can figure out what I'm doing wrong, or right. I have over 200 blog hits a day. I know that means that at least 200 of you are reading my books.

I just don't get it.
I really don't.
I won't be releasing next year's book schedule, because as it stands, there may only be a few releases. Maybe 12 books a year is too much for you, the reader. I don't know. I haven't a clue.
Are you happy with my work?
Hate it?
Do you wish there was more?
Less?

Anyway, rant over.
back to work.
I have a book to get out. Then an FBI release next month. I really hope more of you start reviewing, or Morgan Kelley just may be shutting down. What choice do I have? This is the core of my job, and I'm not getting feedback and reviews.

It's all up to you guys.

Much love, mayhem, and murder.

Morgan

PS. For those of you who have left reviews, I really appreciate it. Thank you for your feedback. You're the best.

Happy Sunday!

Today, I'm returning to work after my back surgery. It's been a long 6 weeks!!! I can't wait to start writing this week.

I also have good news. The new Croft spin off book, Dark Justice was just uploaded and will be available tomorrow for pre-order. As soon as I get the links from Amazon, I'll post them here. I can't wait for you to read them. The book has been edited for the first and second time, and both Rachel and Laura have given it two thumbs up.

I think you'll like it. This is Greyson Croft post losing his FBI job. You're going to watch him transform from law man to lawless man, but with one big twist. He's going to be saving Vegas one lost soul at a time.

It's batman meets Robin Hood. He's dark and brooding, everyone thinks he's gone bad, but the family knows the truth. He's dedicating his life to saving people the cops can't (or won't) help. He'll wear the badge of 'criminal' but it's the furthest from the truth.

I hope you like it...
In fact, I think in honor of me coming back to work today, I'll give you a little sneak peek.

Dark Justice.
by Author Morgan Kelley
Release date: August 5th

My name is Greyson Croft…

At one time, I was the law in Las Vegas. I kept the streets clean, the bad guys going to jail, and peace in our fine city. Then, that all changed.
In the matter of a heartbeat, it was over.

My life drastically changed.

I kept my word and I made a choice to avenge my family. I let justice go in order to protect the ones I hold dear, and I became an outlaw.
To the cops, Feds, and citizens of the city, I was no longer the law but part of the criminal element. I gave up my gold badge for something completely different.

Dark Justice.

Oh, I still run Las Vegas, but now it’s done from the other side. I’m still a force to reckon with, but I no longer work for the government or the people of the city.

I work for me.
I am justice.

After a year of cleaning up the mess left behind by the powerful mob and money hungry animals threatening our city, I became them. I became what I hunted, and now I am feared. The police don’t trust me.

The media is curious.
And the only people who know what I’m really like are my family. They know the truth.
I became the new power player.
I became the new dark justice.
I became…
The new family everyone feared.

While most think I’m crooked, a criminal, and just like the Dominic Marianna’s in the world, they’re dead wrong. I’m still the only one who stands between the seedy element and the people who have fallen through the cracks. The only difference is, now I’m running Vegas my way. My hands aren’t tied, and I can help those who I couldn’t help before.

Honestly, there’s no one to stop me.

The Croft Empire has been formed. It grew from two people who lived and breathed justice and now it’s an entity in itself.
It’s strong.
And it’s not going anywhere, despite what the law in Las Vegas wants.

Why?

Because in Vegas the good guy is the bad guy, and the bad guys are the ones who pretend to care about the people of this city. That’s crystal clear from where I stand.

Am I breaking the rules?
Yes.

Am I willing to do whatever it takes to protect?
Yes.

What do I have to lose?
Absolutely nothing.

I’ve been a soldier, a man who served his country, taking that shot to end a life. I’ve been a Director in the FBI, making the tough decisions as I tried to keep the peace.

I did my job.
I followed the rules.
Now I make them.

Will everyone agree with them? Not likely. The police don’t like me interfering, but when I see people being kicked around, I always help the underdog.
It may not be the popular bet in Las Vegas, but I want them to win. I want them to find their missing family, get off the streets, and have good lives. They deserve it. They aren’t the forgotten.

I haven’t forgotten them.

My family will do whatever it takes to help them.
Someone has to do it.
That someone is me.

Being the most powerful man in Las Vegas comes with a price, and I’m not the only one paying it. I have a family behind me. In Vegas, being a Croft means something.
It means money.
It means power.
It means…the police hate us.
It means that if you need help, and the cops won’t even give you the time of day, find me.

I will help you.
I don’t hate the police. We used to be them.

I can’t blame them for being suspicious of us. I would be too. In fact, I used to hate people just like me. I used to wake up every morning, strap on a badge and gun, and head out to make sure no one person was in control.

That’s still my job, but instead of being on the side of law and order, I’m on the side of doing what’s right.

I don’t tolerate the criminal element.
I am still that person, the one who ruled from the glass tower of FBI Las Vegas, but now I do it my way.

I’ve learned a valuable lesson.

My family had my back when the law and justice never did. My wife, bless her for putting up with me, was a detective and a damn good one. She handed in her badge the day the FBI took mine. She’s my ally in this fight for justice in the city. She’s smart, beautiful, and willing to fight the good fight. On our team, she’s the sleuth. If it needs to be solved, Emma Croft is your girl. She’ll get to the bottom of it. Every gangster needs that beautiful woman on his arm, and she’s mine.
Together, we have something powerful that no one can destroy. We have true love. There is no Greyson Croft without Emma Croft.

And that’s the truth.

Then there’s my ‘son’, Curtis. He was a Fed too. I trained, mentored, and taught the man everything he knows. He, too, left the FBI when my badge was taken, and I’ll never forget that he always had my back. We may not be blood, but we were forged in something so much stronger.

Love.

He has joined me in helping the people that justice has forgotten in this city. He’s my hacker. If I need something found, he’s going to be the one who digs it up. He’s good with his hands, and even better with his technology. I trust him to do the job—like I did in the FBI.

Curtis helps me level the playing field.
I need all the help I can get.

Then there’s Dimitri Gideon. He’s Russian, a killer, and my muscle. I never thought I’d need that, but he’s proven his loyalty and worth. He, too, like Curtis, is family by love, not by blood. He’s always had Emma’s and my back, and he still does. If I get into a tricky situation, he’s the one who helps me out. He’s smart, complicated, and has so many secrets that no one will ever find them all out.
He’s also the man who locates the victims that this city has forgotten. Dimitri is the one who started all this, and I call him friend, brother, and partner—for life.

Together, we will clean up Las Vegas.

Then there’s Katerina Gideon. She’s young, pretty, damaged, and my thief. If I need it lifted, stolen, or absconded, she’s my girl. She can pick a lock, scale a building, and get into any locked location.
She can disappear in plain sight. Kat is handy, and she’s part of our team.

We’re lucky to have her.

She’s not alone. With her comes Dimitri’s other sister. Natasha Gideon is a genius when it comes to disguise. One minute she is playing one person, and when she comes back around the corner, she’s someone new.

It’s that damn fast.

If you need someone to manipulate the situation, she’s the one. She’s sweet, gentle, and will kill you when you’re least expecting it. No, it’s not all clothes and wigs. She’s lethal, just like her half-brother and sister. Don’t let the girls fool you.

They’re deadly.
They’re smart.

They’re not putting up with anyone’s BS, and that’s how I like them. They have my best interests at heart, and I have theirs.
Family is what matters.

They will always have your back. In life, that’s all you really have. Careers come and go, but the people who love you?
They stick.

In this family, we’re all equal. We’ve been compared to the mob, and it’s damn true.
We’re rich.
We’re powerful.
And we’re doing it our way.

With the rest of the team, we’re taking Vegas by storm. We’re not letting anyone tell us how to find justice. We’re leveling the playing field and helping the little people who were left behind.
We’ve made friends.
We’ve made enemies.
The cops hate us.
The criminals hate us even more.
But the people who lost their way, who were stepped on by the boot of justice, and pushed aside…they need us.
That’s all that matters.

As long as they do, we’re sticking around. Vegas needs that Dark Justice to keep everything fair, and I’m here to make sure it happens.
I am that justice.

When the cops won’t help you and everything seems to be falling in on you, threatening to crush you—find us. When you feel that justice has left the building, and you’re standing there holding the bag—we’ll be there. When you think that you’ve been screwed by the law….
We’re your people.

You don’t have to pay us. We’ll do it for free. Money means nothing to any of us. All we want is justice for all, and for the law to be accountable.
In the end, we’ll get it.

When it’s all said and done, if you find us, and we agree to help you, there’s nothing we won’t do.
We’ll take your case.
We’ll find the answers.
We’ll get you the justice you deserve.
When it’s all said and done, not every mob family is bad. Sometimes….

We’re simply misunderstood.

Look out Las Vegas. You feared me before, but you haven’t seen anything. I’m Greyson Croft, and I’m about to be your worst freaking nightmare.

I’m bringing justice back—with a vengeance.

Signed,

Greyson Croft

I hope you enjoy the book! Check back in tomorrow for the pre-order links!!!

Much love, mayhem, and murder,

MK

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!

Today is always a special day in our house. I get to be queen! What mom doesn't love that?
Mother's Day is always important to me because I know how hard it is for every single woman out there who is struggling to raise her kids. (Sometimes her husband too!)

I think that every day should be Mother's Day. It's not an easy job, but we get it done. So today in honor of all the mothers out there, I'll be making a donation to the local women's shelter. I've asked my family to not buy me anything, but to add to my contribution.

The women there are struggling and need to have someone remember them on this day. They deserve the accolades, not me. I have it easy. I don't live in an abusive situation, my kids are safe, and I have a career that puts food on our table and a roof over our head. (Thanks to all of you.) In the honor of all those mothers escaping abusive situations, trying to keep themselves and their kids alive, I'm going to give them the gift this year.

They deserve it more than I do. Their struggle is real.

To each and every mother out there, thank you for all you do to make the next generation an even better generation. I send you my love, peace, and happiness on this day.

Much love, mayhem, and murder from my family to you,

Morgan, Victor, Isabella, and Alexzander.

Another addition to the family...

There's another book available for pre-order!
Oracle Seeing is finally available on Amazon. It took them forever to get it up, but YAY!!!

Here it is!

You can preorder it, or if you have Kindle Unlimited, you can follow this link to my amazon page and beneath my picture, click 'following'. Amazon will email you when a new book is out!

I really hope you enjoy this one! So far, my team loves Lucian and Bishop. They are a fun couple. He's damaged and brooding, and she's bright and protective. It was awesome to watch them come together.

I hope you're ready for Oracle! A lot happens in this book, including Jagger meets his match.

Book Description.

Oracle Seeing
Book two in the Phoenix Files.

He’s in so much pain.
His gift is killing him. Lucian Monroe is special. He’s a psychic. At one time, before he nearly died in a car explosion, he would use his gift to lock away criminals. He was good at his job. They never had a chance. He owned the courtroom, and he ruled as king.
Until that fateful day…
Everything changed.
Now he’s forced to hide in his mansion, locked behind the walls to stay invisible. He’s a beast, disfigured, scarred, and ruined. He can’t go into the city, let alone face another person down. He’s given up on life. He’s given up on love.
That is until the visions start.
Someone is killing people from his past. He knows deep down, he’ll be next.
In comes Oracle. She’s just like him, and he trusts her. Only, she has a few tricks up her sleeve to save Lucian once and for all. There’s one person in his past who can destroy him. It’s Bishop. She holds the key to solving it all, whether he likes it or not.
Yet, he can’t face her.
He won’t.
If he does…she’ll know the truth that he’s hidden all these years.
As the team goes in, they have no choice but to track the killer in Lucian’s past. Only, the closer they get, one thing becomes clear. Maybe Oracle can’t protect them.
Maybe in life, you pay for your sins whether you deserve to or not.
Sometimes, Beauty can’t save the Beast.

Much love, mayhem, and murder,
Morgan.

Another day...

Morning all!

I'm still recovering from back surgery, but I'm popping in to see how everyone is doing! Have you all finished Haven of Nightmares?
I hope you enjoyed it!!!!

I'll be re-reading it the second week of May as I prep for my return from hiatus. I'll be starting my book schedule with Forbidden Secrets.

I can't wait to do that book.

I really enjoyed creating Detective Everhart Rose, and I think he has a lot of story to tell. Not only his, but his adorable daughter Ivy's too. He's going to be one of those men who follows the rules, can't break them, and has to stay within the lines. I haven't figured out who I'm going to make him fall in love with yet, but she's going to have to be his polar opposite.

I'm thinking creative, wild, impulsive.
Hart needs a little levity in his life.

As for the book... I have no clue. I haven't fleshed it out yet in my head.

I'm reading other books in the different series and making notes. I have a lot to do as soon as I return. First, the Littlemoon book. That's my May schedule. Then I have to write the final FBI book of the year. I think it's out in October. I may make this a Halloween themed one, but I'm not quite sure. Then it's on to 2017. Oracle Saving is book three, and it's out in January. After that, I have to do a back to back book write before Thanksgiving for the FBI series. I'm going to do a flashback book where we meet Tony on his first case, and then it's going to flash back to present time for the second book that month to the killer having returned.

Miss Kitty is making her debut in the flashback book. Everyone always asks for more information on Elizabeth as a young agent, and I'm giving you all what you want. Plus, we're still going to see what their new lives are like on the East Coast. Ethan is the Deputy Director, and that's huge. Callen's writing career has taken off, and will he come out of the closet as Jackson James, or will he write behind that name for a while longer. Then there is Elizabeth...

Can the East Coast handle her?

We shall see.

So, get reading, everyone! There is so much more to come. This year there are 12 books being released. Next year, we have 13. No months off for Morgan. She's giving you a book every month and two in Feb.

Wish me luck!

If you haven't left a review for Haven of Nightmares, can you pop on out to amazon and leave one? Unless I have 25 reviews, they won't promote my books. I need your help! Keep me writing! If you love my books, feed an author!!!!

Much love, Mayhem, and Murder,

Morgan.
