As promised... The prologue to Love is Bleeding. Book 4 in the Croft & Croft Series....

You guys get the first look at it!!!!

~Prologue~

There’s nothing worse than when your plans fall through. You could have the best intentions, and then all of a sudden, it crumbles all around you.

It didn't matter how big or small the mission. Fate has a way of screwing with everyone, even a killer.

You can strategize, plan, and structure everything to the minutest of details, and it will still go to hell in a hand basket.

Look at this situation.

The big plan was to sneak into the house, leave the bloody calling card, and escape into the quiet of the day.

Simple, right?

Only, that wasn’t what was happening.

Oh, getting into the house was fairly simple. All that had to be done was wait until the wife left to do the grocery shopping, and then get down to business. By the time she returned, with her bags of food, it would be over.

As would be her husband’s life.

Yet, that wasn’t what was destined to happen. Fate decided to throw in a monkey wrench and screw with everyone involved. Who knew that the Fed’s wife was going to forget her coupons, having to return to the quiet of the house for them?

Certainly not the killer.

Oh, but that bitch Fate, she knew.

It was all in the universe’s master plan.

For the killer, if there was any inkling that this mess was going to happen, there would have been a contingency plan. Instead, the one who broke into their quaint house was just placing the bloody handprint on the wall when there was a noise.

“Shit!”

Before there could be a hasty escape, the wife walked right into the living room and found the intruder.

“What are you doing here?” she asked, backing out carefully. Then, she saw the gun and froze. “You can have whatever you want. Please, don’t hurt me. My husband is in the FBI. He’ll find you if you hurt me!”

There was nothing but sardonic laughter that filled the room. Oh, the intruder was well aware that her husband was with the Feds. In fact, he was the reason for the visit.

She could blame him for her untimely death when they met in the afterlife.

“Move closer and don’t make a sound, or I’ll kill you.” The statement was shrouded with total lies. This woman was going to be one more on the list of those who must die.

Only, she wasn’t a target.

She was collateral damage.

“Turn around and let me tie you up. Then, I’ll be gone.”

The woman relaxed marginally, already memorizing everything about the intruder’s face. When she saw her husband, she would describe everything. After all, being the wife of a Fed meant getting the job done. This home invader didn't have a snowball’s chance in hell.

Putting on faux sweetness to mask the fear, she spoke, “Thank you for not hurting me,” she offered softly, trying to bullshit her way through the next few minutes. “I promise I won’t go to the cops.”

Which wasn’t exactly a lie.

She was going to the FBI instead.

The intruder said nothing, only flipped the gun to use the butt to do all the dirty work. With one swing, there was contact and the sick crunching of bone as metal met skull.

The woman crumbled to the ground in a heap.

Unfortunately for her, it wouldn’t end there. The strike wasn’t enough to kill, and the intruder knew the truth. There could be no loose ends, and this woman was a huge problem.

Careful not to leave any evidence behind, hands wrapped around her neck and squeezed until the shallow breathing slowly came to a stop.

It was done.

“I’m sorry, but you came home. You weren’t supposed to die, but think of it this way- now you won’t have to attend your dear husband’s funeral. I’ve given you a gift. You’ve been spared the heartbreak of that.”

Checking her pulse to assure she was indeed dead, the killer went back to work, placing the bloody print on the wall. This day was an unmitigated disaster, and hopefully the second part would go more smoothly.

As the red dripped down the wall, the killer was incredibly proud of the plan, and the calling card being left behind. The FBI would never trace it back, since all precautions were taken. Fate may like to throw everyone for a loop, but planning was key.

The intruder wasn’t stupid.

Not by a long shot.

Stepping over the woman, lying prone on the floor, it was time to get across town to take care of the true business at hand.

Her husband.

The best agent was a dead agent.

That was for sure.

Once that trigger was pulled, there could be no mistake this time.

Justice was on the horizon for those who no longer had a voice of their own.

“Let’s get this show on the road. I have work to do.”

Across Vegas

Just Outside of Town

 Greyson Croft despised bullshit.

It was one of the things he didn't have much patience for in his life. His days were so jam packed with FBI related work, that the next thing he would be forced to give up, would either be sleep or sex with his wife.

Goodbye sleep.

The other option was never happening, even if he started to resemble the walking dead. A man had to have priorities, and his wife was going to be number one on that list.

Yet, that wasn’t the worst of his problems.

Now, he had some serious anger issues. There was an asshole with one mission in mind.

Infuriate the head Fed.

It pissed Greyson off to no end, that he was being called out in his own town. Maybe it was ego, or maybe it was the simple fact that the second he took the job in Vegas, he was a marked man. Either way, someone was screwing with him, and he didn't doubt that this new call was part of it.

Someone liked playing games, and he was caught in the midst of it.

As his team milled around the field, they looked for the victim who had been called in. An anonymous tip was relayed into their hotline, saying that another body had been left, and this was the location.

Only, he didn't see anything.

Well, that wasn’t true. He saw his team milling around, the ME looking befuddled, and his watch ticking away precious seconds.

Something had to be here.

For the last few weeks, they had been turning up bodies. Not just any bodies mind you, but dead Feds. After Christmas, there had been an onslaught of issues dumped onto his already burdened shoulders. For the last three weeks, there had been murdered agents left for him to find. One was taken out in the front seat of his car, another on his way into the building, and then one was even in his kitchen making coffee.

Now, Greyson was on a scavenger hunt.

The prize?

A dead comrade.

It pissed him off like nothing else. Not only because someone was killing the good guys, but because they were screwing with him. Greyson loathed jumping through hoops.

This was an affront to his manhood, and when he got his hands on the killer, heads were going to roll.

That was if they caught him.

To add insult to injury, not only was the killer taking innocent lives, but he was taunting them. At every victim’s house, he was leaving behind a calling card.

Oh, it wasn’t a love note, proclaiming a reason for the madness, but instead it was one single bloody handprint. As hard as they tried, no one could figure out the meaning. It was like trying to decipher a clue, which was still locked in the mind of a madman.

It was frustrating.

It was irritating.

It was driving him bat shit insane.

So much so, that he was losing sleep over it. At least with the last big serial killer they encountered, he had a clue why. Kris Kringle was taking a list of those he perceived to be ‘naughty and nice’. This asshole was just killing his men and leaving a handprint.

In his book, a cop killer was the lowest of low.

Something had to be done, and he’d made this his personal mission. He didn't have time to be working on it, but Greyson had a responsibility to the fallen.

To HIS men.

Glancing around the open field, he took in the surrounding area. If the killer had left a body here, then it had to be underground. It was a flat piece of land surrounded by trees and some hills in the distance. He would have had to drive in, bury the remains, and then drive out.

“Start digging,” he yelled, as his team made crisscross patterns with ground penetrating radar, trying to find the body.

Someone had to be here, and if it was a Fed, he was bringing them home.

Suddenly, there was a shout.

“Over here!” yelled one of his agents, waving frantically.

He had Greyson’s full attention as he crossed to him, but he wasn’t alone. Unfortunately, as the second his agent called out, it stirred up the media which was being held behind the crime scene tape. They were desperate for anything at that point. When the big man in Vegas headed to the field, something huge was brewing.

So, of course they were going to be there. Why wouldn’t they be? After all, they followed him everywhere he went. Home, work, the grocery store, and even when he bought gifts for his wife. The pariahs of society were dogging his every move.

“What do you have?” he asked, ignoring the calls from the TV crews and reporters. It sickened him that the media vultures were already all over this, giving this bastard what he wanted.

Attention.

It was bad enough that he had his sole focus, but now the world was his audience. If this wasn’t a priority one case, he’d be back in his office doing paperwork and day dreaming about his feisty little kitten, Emma.

Yeah, this killer was a huge asshole for so many reasons.

“We have something poking out of the ground,” Agent Jamie Price said, glancing up at her boss. She was in awe to be able to work with the man. When she transferred out from the east coast, she wanted into his division in the worst way. Everyone heard about the ‘Ice King’ and his closure rate. Yeah, he was tough, but that was okay. She wanted to be the best, and working under him was the way to do it.

Besides, it was easy to go to work every day when the scenery was this fine. From her boss’s staggering gray eyes to his sexily tousled black hair, it made everything else fall away. Granted, he was a married man, but all the ladies on his staff liked to check out Greyson Croft.

You had to be blind or dead to not notice him.

Maybe it was that scar across his cheek, or the whiskey smooth voice, which gave a girl chills. Everyone found something different to like about him, but one thing was for damn sure.

His wife was a lucky woman.

“What is it?” he asked, crouching down beside the ME and his agents.

It was the doctor who spoke first, “Director, I think we’ve found your body,” he said, touching the protruding object with his gloved fingers.

Croft glanced over at the man. “Doctor Bentley, get your team to dig him up ASAP. I want to know who we have, so we can find this asshole and stop the games.”

The ME knew the Fed well enough to see he wasn’t in the mood for chitchat. He and Croft were building a pretty decent relationship between them. Granted, the man was still suspicious of him and his friendship with Emma, but it was getting better. At least now, they could have some banter and easy conversation.

Then again, could he blame the man? When you found love, you had to hold onto it with all you had. While Emma Croft was one of his closest friends at work, he had no sexual attraction to her whatsoever. With any luck, Greyson Croft would figure that out, and he could add him to his small circle of friends.

Hopefully.

“Step back, Director, and we’ll get right on it,” he replied, waving his team of techs over. They would start the long tedious process of extricating the body from the makeshift grave.

Croft did just that, as he pulled out his phone and began ripping off text messages to the rest of his team. He was bumping this to priority one. At this point, he didn't care what everyone was working on. If they were in-house, they were pulling duty on this one. He’d justify the overtime to his bosses later. Already, they knew what he was dealing with and had offered their support.

As he moved to give the team room, Greyson could hear the calls from the media and chose to ignore them. As long as he kept his back to them, they couldn’t get any on-air shots of his face, and the anger plastered there.

Hate was more like it.

You’d think by now they’d know him well enough. He wasn’t going to give them jack shit, but they couldn’t let it go.

No, wouldn’t let it go.

When they began throwing out his wife’s name, he fought not to spin around and give them all hell. Greyson knew they were well aware of his one weakness, and that they would use it. Instinct won over intelligence. With a quick glance at them, the look must have said it all, because the noise quieted down.

“Director, excuse me,” said Agent Lester Williams, getting his bosses attention.

“Yes, Agent?”

“I have the report in on the last victim,” he offered, pulling out his phone to start breaking it down for his boss. For the last few hours, he’d been working tirelessly on it in an effort to impress the man.

“Let me hear what you have,” Croft said, moving to face him. As his back remained to the crowd, Lester Williams had a bird’s eye view.

“They’re crazy,” he muttered, staring over his boss’s shoulder.

“Yeah, almost as nutty as this killer. I hope you have something we can use, because I’m getting damn tired of this bullshit.”

Yeah, everyone was well aware that with each dead Fed, Greyson Croft was one step closer to losing his mind. “Yes, sir,” he said, as he began relaying his report.

                              *   *   *

Sitting in the distance, the killer watched the FBI in their spiffy blue and gold jackets. If they only knew that wearing them to a crime scene made them easier targets, they wouldn’t be so willing to sport the team colors.

Now would they?

Just aligning themselves with the most corrupt entity on the planet made them easy pickings. Pulling the trigger had been incredibly easy the last three weeks, since it was all in the spirit of an eye for an eye.

Who could point the finger of blame, when the job at hand was wiping the corrupt from the game?

This was a mission which couldn’t be turned down.

It was in the blood.

It was a calling.

Staring down the sight of the Remington M24 sniper rifle, the next victim was picked out. It was easy to find him in the crowd as he stood there among the others. When the time was right, he’d be meeting his maker and taking his sins to a higher power.

Then, he’d be judged by God for the crimes he committed.

That would be justice enough.

Hell was certainly going to be one hot place to spend the rest of his sin-filled afterlife.

Getting ready, the killer let out the held breath, focused on the target, and prepared to make the kill.

Revenge was coming, and it was well past due.

Nothing could stop it now. Those who committed the crime needed to suffer, and this was the only way to pay for their sins.

The game was in play, and the victory would go to those who were on the side of justice.

The bolt slid back and the killer’s finger was on the trigger, ready to make history.

In three.

Two.

One….

                ~ Prologue ~

                 Saturday Late Evening

As Sissy Parker slowly began to wake, she had no idea where she was, or how she ended up there. Trying to move her arms, Sissy could tell they were restrained above her head, and immediately began to panic.

Struggling to get her bearings, Sissy blinked rapidly, trying to take everything in. All around her there were candles and shadows. Deep down, she had this building feeling of horror, as she could sense that there were malevolent eyes watching her from the creepy darkness.

She knew that something bad was coming.

As the fear rushed through her, Sissy’s body shook in terror at all the possible scenarios that were forming in her head. Having a wild imagination wasn’t her friend at that moment.

It was her worst nightmare.

Getting her bearings, she knew what to do.

Sissy screamed.

What caught her completely off guard, was when no one tried to stop her frantic wails for help. Instead, she was met with laughter.

Sick.

Horrible.

Terrifying laughter.

Finally, after a brief amount of time passed, the first shadow stepped forward. Sissy stared at the figure, trying to adjust to the dim light in the room.

“Who are you?” she asked, her voice shaking.

Certainly, this had to be some kind of bad dream. Any second now, she would wake up.

There was no answer to her question, and that scared her just as much as what she suspected to be the truth. In fact, the silence was chilling.

“Please, what do you want from me? Why am I here?” she begged softly, as the words came out more like a whimper.

The figure moved forward, running a hand slowly down her naked body.

Sissy tried to pull away from the whisper light caress. At that point, she would have dislocated her own limbs to move out of her abductor’s reach.

“Stop! You’re scaring me. This isn’t funny. What am I doing here?”

Laughter came from another direction in the darkness, and Sissy whipped her head toward the sound.

Oh God! There was more than one!

At that moment, Sissy knew that she was in some serious shit. Even she wouldn’t be able to talk her way out of it with her pretty smile and nice clothes.

“WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?” she screamed, as two other figures moved into the dim light beside the first one.

They were all clothed in hooded black robes tied with red silk belts. The first figure, the one who had touched her, must have been the leader, as that robe didn’t match the others.

“We are The Brethren of the Blood.”

That didn’t sound good at all. In fact, that sounded bad.

REAL BAD.

“What do you want with me?” she asked, scared out of her pretty little mind. The last thing that she remembered was a sharp pain in the back of her head, and then…

She woke.

Naked.

Bound.

And in big trouble.

“We’re here to cleanse the sins which are suffocating our town.”

Sissy glared at the figures who were moving into a circle around the table she was lying on. The tears came as she pleaded for her life.

“I’ll do anything if you let me go. Please, this has to be some kind of mistake. You have the wrong person!”

“No, Sissy, we have the right one. You’re a vile example of humanity, and we’re here to fix what’s broken.”

Suddenly, the words registered. “What do you mean cleanse? How are you going to do that?”

“We’ll make you our offering, purifying the town of the first sin.” They began moving around her, touching her naked flesh with their hands.

“Please,” she begged.

At the contact, the bound woman began getting more agitated. Her face was etched with desperation.

And yet, they paid her no mind.

Sissy began to struggle, pulling at the bonds holding her to the table. She knew she needed to fight.

“There’s no use in struggling. We’ll do what needs to be done, and then make our offering.”

Reality hit, as Sissy finally understood what they were going to do to her. In the back of her mind, the logical part of her brain was warning her of what was to come. The confusion was finally overcome, and now it demanded she flee.

“What…are…you…” She didn't get to finish.

The maniacal laughter was enough to tell the tale.

Sissy was going to be murdered.

“No, please! I’ll do whatever you want! Please don’t kill me!”  The begging had escalated and was now more desperation than anything else.

More laughter emanated from the circle, as they moved closer to the woman. Her struggles only incited them, making the inevitable more enticing to them.

The first figure began opening the red robe as Sissy stared in horror, shocked to see who lay beneath the hood.

It couldn’t be!

There was no conceivable way that what she was seeing was true.

“Oh, God, no,” she whispered at the thought of what was about to happen.

“It’s too late to call his name now.”

The other two joined in with laughter.

Looking up into the face, it was completely void of any emotion. It was as if there was no concept that what was coming was wrong.

One by one, they each undid their robes.

Horrifyingly, they were all familiar. Sissy knew each of them personally.

Trying to get their sympathy, she gazed into each set of eyes and pleaded her case. “No! Why me?” she asked. “I never did anything to hurt you!”

Her words fell on deaf ears as they moved toward her naked body.

Sissy started to scream, praying that someone would hear and rescue her. Before long, Sissy could feel something being stuffed into her mouth. It was then taped shut with a large piece of duct tape.

Her body reacted. Immediately, she began gagging as the tears stung her eyes.

“Hood her,” said the first figure, picking up a shiny silver blade. The intent was to let Sissy Parker see it as her final memory in this world. From the look on her face, as the hood was drawn over her features, it did what it was intended to do.

There was nothing but fear present, as the end came closer.

Sinners needed to pay.

Sissy tried to cry out in pain, as the razor sharp knife began tearing through her body. From the motions, she could feel something being carved into her flesh.

The blackness surrounded her, as what little she could see swam in swirls. It was coming to swallow her.

Her only thought was how grateful she was that once in the abyss, she wouldn’t feel any more agony.

As the three cloaked figures stood around Sissy’s body, they began the long awaited ritual. It was now underway.

The Brethren had deemed her life forfeited.

She was unclean.

Sissy was the first one chosen.

There were words spoken over her as blood rushed, gushed, and spilled on the ground.

As it coated her body, the room was heavily tinged with the scent of copper pennies. The only thing lingering there, which was more powerful, was the silence.

In absence of all talking, one message was clear.

It was just the beginning, and they enjoyed every second of what they had just done.

This was power.

This was strength.

This was… perfect.

When the ritual had ended, they moved Sissy’s barely alive body to the field out past Walker’s Point. They found the perfect spot and laid her in the grass.

Who knew how long it would take the law to find her body? Yet, if it was meant to be, it would happen.

The leader of the group pulled the black hood from Sissy’s head and stared down at the wide-eyed look on her face. It was quite obvious that she had suffered greatly.

Now, it was time to end it. With one slice to her neck, the blood trickled out and coated the message sickly.

With a gasp, she struggled for her last breath, as her life ebbed away.

This woman fought for life, every step of the way.

For that, they were grateful.

Stepping back, the three stared down at their masterpiece and admired their handiwork.

Sissy Parker may have been the first one to die, but practice didn't have to make perfect.

They had done it to the letter of their law.

At first there was worry about making a mistake, but that had long since passed. Their only hope was, as the next ones came to them, that they too, would each be just as special.

No one said anything as they turned to leave.

Each of the three were living in the moment, in their own way, and committing this night to memory.

Everything had changed, and now there was no turning back to what used to be.

As they left the beautiful woman alone in the wet grass, the next mission would be to head home and climb into their warm beds. There was nothing but pure unadulterated satisfaction filling them. Hopefully, they would each be able to sleep, despite the adrenaline still surging over a job well done.

This sacrifice was going down in the books.

With one glance back, the moon eerily shone down on the destroyed life of Sissy Parker. Even from where they stood, the final ominous word was visible.

Each saw ‘PRIDE’, carved grotesquely into her chest, and they were jubilant.

Now, everyone would see her for her true sin.

There would be no doubt as to what had caused her death.

This was on her, and it was only beginning.

Long time no write...

Morning all!

Just popping in to see how you're all doing!
It's chilly here again in the Northeast, but then again, February generally is. I really don't mind, because I'm hunkered down to work.

It's chaotic here. With the juggling act, it feels like I'm one step away from dropping the ball. Right now, Sinner Repent (1) is in the process of re-edit. When I received it back, it didn't feel right. It was choppy and not to my standard, so my awesome team took it back and ripped it apart. Now, it's days from final edit being complete, and I'm praying it 'feels' better when I do my read through.
If not, it won't be released.
I just can't do it.
I really like Callista Carter and Quinton Gaines, and I can't give them a subpar story. It's not about banging out 'ehhhh' work. It's about delivering stories I believe in. So, if the book isn't where I want it, I won't release it.

I will say, I'm a million times happier now than I was 2 weeks ago. My proofer, Rachel, dug into it and found problem areas. Now, Jennifer is doing the final edit. I like when they're mean, vicious, and brutal. (Yes, I'm sick like that. hahahahah) Corrections are being done, and we're looking at the release date to remain the same. If it's perfect, you'll see Sinner Repent 'born' on March 21st. If I can get it to you earlier, I will.

Love is Bleeding is my other project right now. It's in the process of being edited and proofed. I'll be honest. I'm scared shitless. I always am when someone reads the book for the first time. No one sees them before the editing team. So, if they hate it, I'm basically screwed. There goes 150,000 words. I'm not one to patch things up. If I hate it, or it's not to standard, it's deleted and redone. I'm praying that my team loves it, but I still have this fear. Why you ask?
Paris and Tessa.
As you know, I'm not afraid of controversy. I'll throw down some threesomes, I'll drop some profanity, and torment the reader to the end. BUT, this book was hard. I love a happily ever after, and I was torn.
Do they get one?
Don't they?
Are Paris and Tessa soul mates?
How far could I push love before it shatters in pieces?
Yeah, it wasn't easy. I'm a big believer that if a book makes me cry, then it's giving the perfect amount of emotion. I'm not one to weep. In fact, very few things can break me down. This book made me sob.
I don't know if it's guilt, or I hit it perfectly.
I'm going to have to let you be the one who decides. (In about 5 days Rachel and Jennifer will be either giving me hell, or high-fives. Stay tuned...)

Now, to answer a few questions.

Morgan, I love your books because they're totally different. Thank you for sharing them with us. I have a huge question that has been driving me insane. Why the hell are you doing a trilogy? That isn't like you. What's with that?
Molly

That's funny! I ask myself that all the time. I'm going to let you in on another secret. I haven't even told my editor or proofer this. The Sinner trilogy will end with a chance for it to be a series. Callista will have her story, then Luke, and finally Nate. THEN, with that last book, as I write the epilogue, I'll have the opportunity to spin it off or end it. I know how to do it, either way. It's a matter of what my workload is, if you all like the trilogy, and if I can handle another series. I'm already carrying four. Will five make me loopy?
Could be.
If I do make it a series, then it's going to be paranormal and tie into the FBI series. So, like most of my books, you'll see characters crossing over. Since in the Sinner series, Nathaniel Carter's boss is Gabe Rothschild, I've left myself a way to connect it. So, Molly, to answer your question... It will be a trilogy, but with a possible series to follow.
I'm a masochist. Sue me....

Morgan,
You seem really genuine. Is that you on FB, or do you have someone who posts for you? How do you have time to write your novels, post on FB, and still have a life?
Trina

Well, where do I begin. Yes, that's me on FB, as is here. I don't have an intern (Oh I wish I did!) or anyone else who posts or writes for me. This is Morgan in her finest (and not so finest) moments. I believe in what I do. I'm a writer. I'm a storyteller. If you message me on FB, I will reply. If you email me, I will answer. I believe that I can only be who I am because of all of you. As for genuine, (thank you for that) this is the real me. I laugh, post pictures of my husband (the inspiration for Greyson Croft) and love the interaction.
How I balance it all? I have no freaking clue.
I'm blessed with a husband who is laid back, so if there's laundry in the dryer, he doesn't lose his mind. I'm more the control freak. (Thus the ulcer!) My daughter is a pre-teen and she's cyber schooled, so she is pretty self sufficient. I'm a firm believer in making her take personal accountability. She makes her own bed, makes her own lunch and breakfast, and is caretaker of her pets. I'm a control freak, but I have my limits.

My son is going to be five soon, and he's in preschool, so I have empty nest syndrome. Once he can read (he's almost there thank god!) he'll be cyber schooled too. So, I don't have bus stop duty, or the other things that cut into a person's time. He's more high maintenance, but he's my little buddy. He'll give me book ideas (cats who eat bugs are bound to be a best seller) and keeps me company. I'll write ten pages and then play Memory, or Chutes and Ladders. Then back to the grind. We don't have cable TV and the kids aren't allowed electronic devices during the week, so it's harder M-F. Sometimes, I want to cave and tell them play a video game. As of yet, it hasn't happened.

I get up at 2 am every day. I write uninterrupted from 2-7, and then get the kids situated. Then, I edit/write from 8-12. At lunchtime, I feed the kids and myself. When that's done, I play with them, or spend time reading to my son. My daughter usually has a paper to write, or edit and that's my afternoon fun. We're doing Harriet Tubman now. By 3 pm, I'm starting to wear down. I make dinner and get ready for the husband to arrive home. We all sit down, have dinner, and talk about our days. Dishes, baths/showers and then reading before bed. Sometimes, I'll break the rules and let the kids have their kindles. BUT, I disable the wifi. My daughter will read, my son will play some KidTime educational game.
By 7 EVERYONE is in bed. This is my time with my husband. We talk, cuddle or discuss who i'm killing next.
Then, the next day starts. I'm just blessed to be one of those people who need very little sleep. I can run on 4 hours. On Sundays, I sleep in til 5 am. Our big saying in my house is
"I'll sleep when I'm dead."

That's my day in a nutshell. I do this 7 days a week. I take 1 week off a year. When you have a passion, you want to do it. So, this is my love in life. (Next to my family.)

I hope that answered your questions!!!

Now, I've got to go back to work. Killing waits for no one, and I'm hoping to post the prologue for Sinner Repent in a week or so. Keep reading and thank you for all your reviews! I appreciate them. We're only 1 review away from 50 for The Killing Times!

This week, we hit the top 100 again on amazon! Word is spreading! THANK YOU!

Much Love, Mayhem and Murder,

Morgan.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

Hi all!
I'm excited for the holiday!
Despite being buried in so much snow, it's still the day of love!
How can I not love that?????

There's lots on the horizon in books this year. To start, Sinner Repent is slotted for release next month. I can't wait. It's off being re-edited because I want it perfect for all of you! I hope you love it as much as I do!
Then, in April you'll be getting Love is Bleeding (book 4) in the Croft & Croft series. I can't tell you much, but there's a rumor going around that someone dies.
Well, I can't deny or confirm that. You'll have to wait and see. (Would I do that to you guys???)
May is going to be Lost &Broken (book 2) in the Littlemoon series.
I'm going to admit something that I NEVER DO. Countless interviewers always ask me one question.

'Which is your favorite book?'

I never answer that, because I don't generally have one. All of my characters are so different, that I love them all. I will say this now. Lost & Broken is my FAVORITE book I've ever written.
Yep, you read that right.
EVER.
There was something about that book that made me beyond happy. I guess you'll have to read it and let me know if I've done you all proud.
(I hope)
In June, you'll get the re-release of my very first series. Dangerous Revelations (book 1) will be ready for all of you. I hope you like vampyres and sexy men. (Yes, that series will have a threesome couple, but their vamps, so why the hell not????)

July is going to be Redemption is Here. (book 9) in the FBI series. I've yet to write it, but it's on the schedule for March. It won't take me more than three weeks , and already it's outlined in my head. Now, as long as I don't go stark raving mad, we're golden.

I have two releases in August. Yes, you read that right. I'm releasing Illegal Fantasies -Behind Closed Doors, and Dangerous Choices (book 2) in the vampire series.
Why two you ask? I'm just crazy like that. Well, that and one isn't a full length novel, and I can't screw you guys like that! I want you to have 500 pages of fun!

That's all I have locked down. I've never really released 12 books in one year, so, this is going to be a test of mental will and endurance. I'm done writing half the books for the year, and it's only February, so we should be good.

I just want to end this blog today with thank you. Without my awesome fans, I wouldn't have the best job in the world. If you want to tell me what you think, vent, or just scream, email me. I'll reply. I always do. You're all my extended family, and it's a privilege to be able to tell you my stories.

I love you all!

Happy Valentine's day.

You're all the best!

Much Love, Mayhem, and Murder,

Morgan.

Croft & Croft Book Trailer

As always, you guys get to see it first!

Here's the new trailer for the Croft Series.
Enjoy!

Love is Bleeding is out in April, and I promise it's going to be a game changer...

Thank you, Dark Phreak Arts!

Morgan.

BRRRRRRRRRRRR

Hi all!
Preparing for the next winter storm to hit. Gotta love winter...
It's been a busy couple of days here, so I apologize for not blogging sooner. I'm in the midst of balancing a few books still, cramming to get them all to the editor and proofer before I get backlogged.
I'm happy to say that I have Sinner Repent on my desk waiting for the final read through. Dangerous Revelations (book 1) In the Harcourte Vampyre society has been shipped for a final read through and should be here by Monday.
On top of that, I just sent the first twenty three chapters of Lost & Broken to editing and as they come back one chapter at a time, they go off to proofing.
Friday I begin adding details to Love is Bleeding ,and finish up the last four stories in the anthology, Illegal Fantasies~ Behind Closed Doors.
Then...
THEN...
I start writing the next FBI book, Redemption is Here. Now, if you've finished Consumed by Wrath, then you know we're going to be dealing with mummies. Yes, you read that right! How you ask?
Well, all I can tell you is that in the beginning of this book, we're going to see more of Callen and Elizabeth, only because he was a little neglected in book 8. He needs his Lyzee time, and that's going to be one of the focuses.
Oh, don't worry! Ethan will be there too, but the first couple of chapters its Callen and Lyzee flying solo. I have some things to work on with their relationship. We're going deep into his past to answer some questions that I get emailed to me.

Like this one...

Morgan,
Oh, my God! I just finished Consumed by Wrath, and it was unbelievable. I wept, I laughed, and I couldn't believe that it flew by. How are you going to top it? I did have one question. Callen and hot wax... why did you go there?
Debs

You're not the only person to ask me that. A couple readers pointed out that because Callen was burned as a child, he may not be turned on by hot wax. We'll I definitely see your point, and I did mull this around a while. Unfortunately, I went with the wax for a few reasons. What I wanted to do was a little too Xrated, and some of my readers are maxed out with the sex scenes, so I had to keep them in mind. Next, I wanted to bring everyone's attention to the situation. In the next book, we're going to go deeper into his pain and childhood. We know his mother was a waste, but we're going to find how horrible she really was.
It's going to bring to light what lives in Callen, and why he sometimes is so afraid.
BUT don't worry. Weak, whiny Callen isn't coming back. He's just going to open up to the woman he loves, and let her heal him even more.

Morgan,
I've read on some other blogs that you're going to publish erotica. Really? Isn't that going to be hard when your really good at fleshing out a deep storyline?
Cynthia

Actually, it's not. These are little snippets that may have appeared in a story. In each book, I like to give you a look into their personal lives, like Christmas morning, a party, etc. With Native Dalliance, the first story in the anthology, we see Ethan, Callen and Elizabeth at their finest. Often, I mention 'ravage the savage' being Lyzee's biggest fantasy. BUT what happens if the men in her life decide to reverse the tables?
What if, they decide to give Elizabeth a night she won't ever forget.

Then, there's Emma's HS reunion. Greyson takes her back east, but they find that you can't always go home and be comfortable with it, especially if you're a caveman with a smoking hot cave babe. So, for readers who know the stories, the anthology will be like icing on the cake. For people who just pick it up as erotica shorts, they'll still enjoy them, but won't truly appreciate it unless they research who all these characters are.

Morgan,
On Facebook, I saw that you were thinking of ending the FBI series! WHY???
Susan.

Well, that's not entirely correct. I said that if the reviews didn't pick up, I may have to end it. I can only carry so many series. Right now I have 4 series and one trilogy. It's a lot of work to balance all those different characters. I think this year you're getting 10 full mega novels and 2 anthologies. That's 12 releases in 12 months.
If I can't tell how you feel about a book, I won't carry it past book 10. So, if you love it, leave a review for it. If you only like it, same goes. I can't do my job unless you direct me.
So, get to leading!!!!

Okay, back to work!
I hope you all have a great night! If you're getting buried in snow, stay safe and warm!

Much Love, Mayhem, and Murder,

Morgan.

Sexy little shorts

Well, as promised, here's the covers for the new anthologies. So far, there's three.
Will there be more?
Maybe.
I'm guessing that's going to be up to you guys.
If you fall in love with them and want more, I'll make it happen. You know I live to please!

Well, here they are...

What do you think?

Remember, these aren't full stories, but short little anthologies with all your favorite characters. Elizabeth, Ethan and Callen
Emma and Greyson
Tori and Julian
Vivian and Justin
Callista and Quinton
Jolie, Jacques, and Flynn
If you want just sexy little shorts, these books are for you.

Book one
August 2014

Book two
December 2014

Book three
February 2015

I hope you enjoy them when they come out, and remember, they're basically erotica. I get asked a lot about how far the characters go in the bedroom, and do I pull some of the sexiness out.
Yeah, I do.
Not everyone likes sex. (I can't believe I just wrote that down...)
For those who are curious, I'm putting it out there. If you don't like sex scenes, PLEASE don't buy this book. It's going to be marketed as erotica, so as with most of my books, read at your own risk.

Now, for those of you asking 'who the heck is Callista Carter and Jolie Harcourte'?
Fear not. Their books come out before these anthologies.

Sinner Repent (book 1)- March
Dangerous Revelations (book 1) June
Dangerous Choices (book 2) August 1 st

You'll have plenty of time to read them before the sex fest begins.

Have a really great day!
Drop me a message and let me know how you like the covers, and keep reviewing!!!!!

Much Love, Mayhem, and in the case of these books, kinkiness!

Morgan.

Monday once more...

Hi all! My book covers for the Carter Chronicles trilogy are done! Thank you, Laura Gordon for getting them finished so fast!

I love them!

I also uploaded them for all of you to see! Go to the tab for the Carter Chronicles and check them out!
I hope you all love the first book! It's coming soon! March! YAY! I can't wait for you all to get the back story on Doctor Callista Carter-Gaines. You'll recall her from Consumed by Wrath, as Ethan's doctor.

Speaking of Consumed by Wrath, I've received a few emails addressing the Valentine's Day sex scene, you know the part... Specifically, Callen's fantasy. A few of my readers were concerned that maybe him being burned as a child by his mother's boyfriend would turn him off to something like hot wax.
I absolutely see where you are heading with that, and I went there too when I wrote that scene. I will say that I mulled it over, pondered it, and worried if it would come across as the opposite of what I  wanted.
Well, I ended up going with the hot wax, despite all of my worries. Why? It's a bridge to the next book, Redemption is Here. In that book, we're going to learn more about Callen's abuse, what secrets he's carrying and possibly meet the man responsible for hurting him as a child.
When you're abused as a child, you carry life long scars, and Callen is no different. Please don't worry. I don't plan on reverting him back to 'whiny' Callen, but Elizabeth deserves to know what lives inside him, even if she already suspects it.
Callen was at ease with his sexual fantasy because he trusted Elizabeth with it. I think that for this book, you'll just have to start there and know it'll be addressed down the road.

So, bear with me.

Once more, I want to thank you for your reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. If I want to be able to offer pre-order books on amazon, I need to get as many reviews as possible. They need to see my loyal fans following along, so if you haven't reviewed all the books, please do!
You could be the one person that makes the difference for another reader on the fence!

If you're on Facebook, find me, like my author page (Author Morgan Kelley) and then even friend me. I do converse with my readers all the time, and share a more personal look into my life! (Beware LOL You never know what will come out of my mouth...)

Much Love, Mayhem, and Murder,

Morgan.

Sunday, January 26, 2014

Happy Sunday!

I hope you're all doing well!
I know I've been MIA for a week, but it wasn't intentional. I'm balancing four books now at once, and it's been quite the juggling act.
Sinner Repent (book 1) is waiting for my final read through.
Dangerous Revelations (book 1) is being edited and corrections are in tonight.
Dangerous Choices (book 2) is halfway done. I'm adding details to it before it goes off to editing, and last, but not least, I'm getting ready to do my read through before Lost & Broken (book 2) in the Littlemoon series goes off to editing.

It's chaos here!
I'm rushing around to get the next 6 months locked down. Here's what it's looking like.
February- nada. I released Consumed by Wrath early for you all, so I get a month without a book release.
March is Sinner Repent.
April is Love is Bleeding (Book 4) Croft & Croft
May- is Lost & Broken (book 2)
June is going to be Dangerous Revelations (book 1)
July is going to be Dangerous Choices (Book 2) ~ Yes, I'm giving you the first two books in a series back to back. That's how much I believe you'll love them.
August will be Redemption is Here (book 9) FBI series, and the anthology Illegal Fantasies~ Behind Closed Doors
September is likely going to be Heaven is Weeping (book 5) in the Croft Series.
October I'm aiming for Unspeakable Games (book 3) Littlemoon series
November will be Sinner revealed (book 2) The Carter Chronicles Trilogy.
Then nothing until Jan or Feb 2015
All of that is scheduled to change, if I lose a finger, or have a mental breakdown in the process. One never knows!

Now, onward. I have a promo tour kicking off this week. Tomorrow, I'll post the sites that will be promoting Blood Red Rage. I hope they loved it as much as you all did! Thank you for your reviews and keep them coming!!! I know more than 3 of you read Consumed by Wrath.
What are you waiting for?
I swear, I'm calling Lyzee!!!!!

Have a good day!
Much Love, Mayhem and Murder,

Morgan.

Sunday, January 19, 2014

Good Morning!

I woke up today to my first review of Consumed by Wrath and it made my day. For me, the only way I can tell if I'm doing a good job is if you post a review.
(Well, that and the emails you send me!)
I can't express my gratitude enough that you take the time to assure that i'll be able to keep writing in the future. I don't do it for money, or glory.
I do it because I love to tell a story.

This is who I am.
When you look deep into my life, I'm a bard at heart. Like Greyson, I was born in the wrong time. I would have loved nothing more than entertaining the king and his court with fanciful stories and tales.
Thank you for letting me live the dream.
I appreciate it so much.

Please, post a review. I know you may think that it doesn't matter, but it does. It matters to me. I love to know how you feel. Did I make you laugh, cry, or get angry?
Did I twang your heart strings?
Am I fighting hard to get these books out there for no reason?
I have a million questions that only you can answer.

Your reviews matter more than anything else.
Do I keep the story going?
Or do I wrap it up at book 10?

I need to know.
The publisher needs to know.
Please post a review so I can continue to give you the stories locked in my head. That review opens the next locked door, and keeps the stories coming. Not just for the new book, but the whole series. If you've read any of my works, please go back and post so other's can read your words.

Words have so much power.
They can build up or tear down.
I need your help. If you don't like the book, post it.
If you love it.
Post it.
Please help me keep all the characters you've come to love coming.

Thank you for your support and kind words.

I love you all for it.

Here's the new book!

Hi all!

Happy Saturday! The newest member of the family is here.

You can get Consumed by Wrath (Book 8) in paperback here.

Or in Kindle here.

I hope you enjoy!
Don't forget to leave a review!

MK.

In honor of....

Okay, so none of us can escape the hands of time. I get that. SO, why let age bother us? I'm not going to. For months, I've been dreading the big 4-0. We'll today, instead of sweating the number, I'm going to celebrate.

With what?
Oh, with a little Blackhawk love fest. What says 'Happy Birthday' better than the next Ethan and Callen book?
So, for all you, my most favorite people in the world, I'm going to give you a gift.

Today, I'm releasing Consumed by Wrath (Book 8) early. I could have held it until when the publisher wanted, but you know what? 40 deserves a kick ass celebration, and if I were Lyzee (God, do I ever!) I'd want to have a full blown birthday with two of the sexiest Natives this side of the FBI.
So, for you my friends, I'm giving you the gift that keeps on giving.

Book 8 is coming.
As soon as Amazon offers it (Likely later today or tonight) I'll post it here.

You all deserve a little Callen and Ethan on this snowy January day.

Well.
I aim to please.

(You can thank Rose and Leta for talking me into it!)

Here's to Birthdays.
Sexy Native men.
And Elizabeth Blackhawk!

May time never touch them.
May their stories fill your hearts.
And may 'The Girlfriend Code' reign supreme!

Keep checking back to see when it's available!
And, if you want to give me a present. Please leave a review after you read the book! I want to keep the series going, but I need you! After it's released, the books are in your hands.

Much Love, Mayhem, and Murder,

Morgan

Prologue for Consumed by Wrath

~Prologue~

He was a simple man.

There was no doubt that he liked the basic pleasures in life and could find happiness in the smallest things.

What gave him the greatest joy was a freezer full of meat and a belly that was full of food at the end of a long day.

Who didn't like that?

In life, you had to take the small moments and cherish them as if they were your last. To some, a meal was never thought of more than a daily task, but to him it was an adventure.

Coming home to food was a luxury that he would never overlook or be ungrateful for. It meant too much to him on so many levels. Having the lingering scents of a home cooked meal assault you, as you walked in the door, was like that warm pair of socks that you slid into on a cold morning. Food offered you comfort and a peace of mind.

It gave you pleasure.

And most importantly, it sustained you.

When he first decided to consume human flesh, there had been some wariness. After all, there was nothing more taboo in the world of man. Eating another person was just wrong.

Wasn’t it?

Then, he had his first taste and all the preconceived notions fell away and realization dawned.

It was fantastic!

At that initial bite, it coated his tongue like butter and gave him an endorphin rush. That moment alone, had cemented into his mind that he couldn’t live without it.

It became his obsession.

At first, the compulsion began to slowly grow. A whole body could last almost a year, as he peppered his hunting and grocery shopping with a human delicacy. Unfortunately, as his lust for flesh increased, so did his need to kill.

Something about it held him in its grips and controlled his every waking thought.

In all honesty, it turned his stomach to hear their pleas for mercy to be set free. When he tried to explain to them that he needed them to die so that he could have food, they always looked horrified. A part of him couldn’t blame them, and yet he wasn’t able to stop.

Eventually, he began rationalizing it away. To him, they were offering up the ultimate gift.

It was the same with beef or pork. The cow and pig were revered to him and almost sacred. Without them, there would be no steak or bacon. Well, to him, the victims were the same thing. Without human flesh, he would be missing his favorite meal.

Barbeque.

Whenever anyone tried his ‘secret’ recipe, they would ohhhh and awwww over it, and for good reason.

It was spectacular.

When he used any other flesh, it didn't taste the same. So, the sacrifice had to be made. He needed the succulent flesh to be that of a human. It was his undisclosed ingredient, and one that he could never go without.

Some might find it vile or revolting, but he found it to be a testament to his great strength. Not everyone could sit down and eat a friend. Eventually, logic prevailed and rules had to be established. Why hurt those he cared for? When he ‘shopped’ for his next meal, he only picked people who he didn't like.

It was logical, right?

Why eat your buddy, when you could eat the person who cut you off in traffic or made your life difficult that day? It was, after all, the final payback for being disrespectful or rude.

But now, he had a few problems.

The people who he had been taking were beginning to draw attention. Who knew that a few missing people a year would draw suspicion? He was careful to not leave evidence and to only pick the ones who really deserved it.

When no one missed that first man, he believed that he was in the clear.

Now, his freezer was almost empty, and he was addicted to the hunt.

It was becoming time once more to go out on the prowl and find the perfect person to give him what he needed.

What he deserved.

What he wanted.

What he craved.

For now, he needed to refill his stock of fresh meat in his freezer and his belly.

Part of him tried to rationalize with logic, warning him that he was going to get caught one day, but the piece that had become addicted to the meals was fighting back hard. The inner dialog battled back and forth, but ultimately the hunger overcame logic.

It always would for him.

He needed to work out a plan. He couldn’t just randomly pluck a person off the street. In case this person drew more suspicion, he needed to have a well thought out strategy. In time, the next meal had been planned. There was one person who came to mind, as he pondered the myriad of people who he could choose from.

This person wasn’t too fat.

He wasn’t too thin.

Fat equated to greasy meat, and that didn't sit well in his stomach. The heartburn was hell, let alone having to strip away all the subcutaneous fat before cooking.

It was disgusting.

There had to be balance. It was like the perfect recipe. If you didn't pay attention to the ingredients, you didn't get a delicious meal.

Quality mattered.

The meat on this man was relatively perfect. He wasn’t too muscle bound, and he wasn’t scrawny either. From experience, he knew that sinewy, stringy muscle didn't cook as well either. Even if you slow stewed it for hours, it wasn’t right.

The only thing that he had going against him was age. Most of the people who he brought to his kitchen were younger, but alas, he would give him a try. If worse came to worse, he would have to spend some time creatively tenderizing him before cooking. He had a meat mallet and plenty of elbow grease.

Then again, there wasn’t anything a stew couldn’t hide or make palatable, if served with a loaf of crusty bread. This man’s flesh wouldn’t go to waste.

Besides, he was poking around and asking too many questions. He was becoming the burr in his side. The man was apparently too nosey for his own good, and while he appreciated people who were thoughtful and intelligent, he didn't want his ruse to be discovered. While no one else had suspected anything, this man was digging into a past that he should simply let die.

Like his victims.

But no….

He just kept digging and that was a big problem. So, his fate was sealed. His body was next on the list to fill his freezer. He only prayed that he could get away with it. Hopefully, once this man went missing, the truth would be buried forever. This time, the police would remain clueless.

Then, he laughed at the absurdity of that statement.

Who the hell was he kidding?

The man who was now sheriff was nothing less than a complete and total idiot. How he had gotten the council to make him leader was a surprise. If they saw anything redeeming in his skills, they kept it a secret. No one believed the town to be safe under his watchful eyes.

If anything, he was a womanizer and not an officer of the law. Then, he pondered the situation at hand. Taking this particular man might work to his advantage after all. Since the man was clueless, why not head to the epicenter of the town and take what he so desired?

It should be easy.

Sitting down to the table, he stared at the last banquet he was going to have from the freezer stock. It did his heart good to see the fine meal that had come from his ingenuity. With a little spice and some TLC, the meat had become a masterpiece.

Maybe he needed to write his own cookbook.

‘One hundred and one ways to eat your fellow man.’

He found that outrageously funny, and who wouldn’t?

Taking his first bite, he savored the moment. Until he was able to get his hands on the next person, it would be plain old chicken for him.

God, he hated poultry and its flimsy flesh.

So, that meant working fast.

Time was of the essence in this situation. He wouldn’t be able to falter or dilly-dally. His daddy always taught him to grab the bull by the horns and take what you wanted, and he desired to have a full belly, and freezer, more than anything else in life.

Now, he was going to make his move.

It was time to bring home the bacon, so to speak.

Soon, it would be time to have a feast.

Salem

Sunday Night

Morgue

It just didn't make sense.

The more that he studied the autopsy reports, the more they looked wrong. In his heart, he knew that he had done each postmortem accurately. After all, he prided himself on years and years of practice, but he had to be missing something. His gut feeling was screaming that there was a big piece of the puzzle missing from this file.

He just didn't have a clue as to what that was.

When the bones were pulled from the river, he was more than just suspicious. What drew his attention to them were the markings that crisscrossed their surface. It was something that he had never encountered before, and he wasn’t sure if that was because he was from a small town, or if this was something new. Everyone around him was claiming that the cause was some sort of hungry animal, but his gut was telling him otherwise.

The teeth marks looked…

Human.

By no means was he an expert on anything like this, but he was a doctor and had been trained to think outside the box. God, what he wouldn’t give to have an anthropologist or specialist to have a second look. Their expertise could help him figure this out.

He was certain of it.

Leaning back in his chair, he stared at the photos of each bone. His lab staff had done a careful job of collecting all the evidence from the watery grave. But then again, he expected nothing less from them. Each one had been trained and worked under him for years. In a sense, he was their mentor in the world of death.

Yet, now he had to wonder if they had missed something. Could he have?

It wasn’t like they had a slew of killings or deaths in the town. It was, after all, Salem. Their tranquil little berg was known for being calm, backwoods, and relatively law abiding.

That’s why he loved it there and called it home.

Salem called to something deep down inside of his soul. For years, he thought about becoming a medical examiner in some big city, but that just never happened. Salem lured him in and made him content. The balance between the people and the peace was incredibly cathartic.

When you lived with death, you wanted as much harmony in the rest of your life as possible.

Staying for over fifty years was the best decision that he had ever made. He couldn’t imagine a single day outside of Salem. When life left him barren, home filled his soul. The relationships, which he had built over the years, gave him something that nothing else ever could.

Family.

When people would ask him when he was retiring, he had one simple answer. He would only call it quits when he was on his own slab for autopsy. Then, they would have to find someone to come in and do the exam.

He wouldn’t care at that point, but for now the idea that age was making him slow and sloppy only exacerbated his irritation. Looking around, Samuel Trudeaux took in the place that he called his second home. Granted, it wasn’t as exciting as some other morgues around the country, but in a sense it was all his. Each tool, machine, and piece of equipment was lovingly fought for and brought into that office by him.

Samuel had built the place from the ground up.

Literally.

When he first came out of medical school, he went home to be the ME and had to do battle to get the morgue built. Thanks to generous town folk, he was able to eventually get it done.

Now, it stood in its grandeur right beside the sheriff’s station. Like the morgue, he too was a monument in the town. One of the best things about living in Salem was that everyone knew your name. In a way, he had become a living legend there. So many of the townsfolk were in awe over what he did. Not many would willingly dig into the dead on a daily basis. When Samuel would walk down the street, the residents would call to him and greet him with nothing but kindness and friendship.

This town was as much a part of him, as he was the town.

Staring down at the reports, he couldn’t help but get that sick feeling in the pit of his stomach. Something was brewing there, and he had to be worried about it. What kind of citizen would he be if he let it slide, only because he was perplexed over it?

He took an oath and made a vow.

That mattered to him a great deal.

There had been only one other time where he was fearful like this, and it was when his best buddy, Charlie LaRue, had begun digging into a pair of suspicious deaths. Ultimately, they had cost him his life, but justice had been served in the end.

That was all that mattered.

And now, this was the same feeling bubbling in his belly. Charlie would tell him that if it felt off, it was. The man had been wise beyond his years, allowing his cop suspicion to lead the way, fuelled by his gut.

Now, it was his turn to do the same. Samuel couldn’t turn his back on this and feign ignorance. Duty was a calling, and he was an honorable man.

Yeah, something was definitely wrong.

He made notes in his files and tucked them safely back into his medical bag. For now, he would take them home and study them some more. If worse came to worse, he knew who he could send them over to and have her take a quick look. Charlie had once done the same, and she had been the salvation that Salem needed.

Elizabeth wouldn’t think that he was a crazy old man, losing touch with reality. In fact, she would most likely think the opposite.

She was just like her father, thankfully. It was apparently a genetic thing, and it led her down the path that she now traversed. There was pride there, as he thought about the young girl who grew into a fine woman. He was glad that he was able to have a part in her rearing. Like his job, it filled his heart and chased the emptiness away.

“We’re not done yet,” he stated, taking one last look at the final file. “I’m going to figure you out, if it’s the last thing that I do,” Doc Trudeaux said, as he snapped closed his medical bag and pulled on his coat.

Something ugly was brewing once more in Salem, and he was going to stop it.

This was his town, his place, and his people and as far as Samuel was concerned, he was going to help contain the sanctity of his home.

No one was going to tarnish it.

It wasn’t happening now or ever.

Samuel Trudeaux was taking a stand.

Even if it was the last thing he ever did….

New twist...

Evening all!

Today I was talked into doing something that I never thought I would do. You know how I allude to certain sex scenes in the books? Like Elizabeth promising the men cheerleader sex? Or the other teasing comments she makes?
Well, today I decided to release those sex scenes.
Yeah, you read that right.
In the next couple of months, I'll be compiling the sex scenes that 'hit the cutting room floor' because they were just too... risqué. provocative. Far too sexually graphic for my books.
(Yeah, picture that in your heads, kiddos.)

I guess they're more along the lines of erotica. The sex is more graphic, the language more crass, and the characters are in their glory.
Whether you're wild in bed like Elizabeth, or more laid back like Tori, I'm sure you want to see behind the closed doors. I know I do!
So, I'm giving you that chance.

I've created a nine chapter anthology, containing the hottest, most fantasy filled scenes that didn't make it into the books. The cover is being created, the work is being scheduled, and it will be on it's way.
There will be;
Emma & Greyson
Elizabeth, Ethan & Callen
Tori & Julian
Elizabeth & Callen
Callista & Quinn
Vivian & Justin
Cyra & Chris
Jolie & Jacques
Elizabeth & Ethan

No, it's not pivotal to the storylines, so you don't have to read them. But, you may want to. I mean, who doesn't want to know what Ethan, Callen and Lyzee have planned out? Or what hot fantasies are bouncing around in Emma's mind?
I think you'll enjoy it, and if you are at your max for the sex in my books, then please don't read it. I don't want anyone stepping outside their comfort zone and being uncomfortable. No worries, it won't be anything tasteless, just our couples being.... couples.

I hope you have a good night.
I need to get back to work. There is no rest for the wicked!

Much love, Mayhem, and Murder,

Morgan.

The FBI series has got it's trailer! YAY! Thank You, Dark Phreak Arts!!! Great job as always!

You can view it here on YouTube.

I hope you enjoy it!

MK

Another week begins!

Good morning all!

I'm just working on some corrections back in for Sinner Repent, (book 1) of the Carter Chronicles, and thought I would pop in and see how you all were doing.

It was a busy weekend here.

Friday, I finished Love is Bleeding, and loved it. I'm thrilled it's done, and the story of Emma, Greyson, Tessa, and Paris has continued. I also tossed in some Curtis and Brynn, since I get lots of emails begging me to give them closure.

Well, I can tell you that happens in the next book, Heaven is Weeping (book 5) So, hang in there. It's coming. Love is Bleeding (book 4) will focus on Tessa and Paris (as well as Grey and Emma, of course!). I've also decided to have them run continually through the series. Without giving anything away, Paris and Tessa's story is too big for two books. So, if you loved them, you're going to continually see them along the journey. I love them, so it's an easy call for me.

Today, I begin the final ready through of Consumed by Wrath. It's going to be released at the end of the month. I'm thinking the 31st. I have a blog tour kicking off next month and a book promo slotted for the end of this month. So, it works out perfectly.

I hope you love it. It's Elizabeth at her finest. Later this week, I'll post the synopsis, and the following week the prologue, as I usually do. It's going to be a bumpy ride, so buckle in and be ready!!!!!

Later this week, I'll be starting to detail add Lost & Broken (book 2) in the Littlemoon series. I can't wait, since I haven't touched it since around Halloween. I love putting a book away for a couple of weeks before I work on it. It's like a brand new adventure for me.

I hope you all have a fabulous week!
Stay warm, keep reading, and don't forget to post your reviews!
I need them if I want to keep the series going!

Much Love, Mayhem, and Murder,

Morgan.

Video Trailer for Blood Red Rage

Morning all! Here's the first look at my first trailer for my Littlemoon Series. As always, you get it first!
I hope you enjoy.
(It gives you hints to what's in Book 2-4)

You can also see it on Youtube here!

I can't wait until the other ones are done! YAY. Let me know what you think!

I'm off to finish Love is Bleeding (book 4) in the Croft & Croft series. It's wrapped tomorrow! Thank the book Gods!

Don't forget to leave reviews if you've enjoyed my books! Everyone counts! Spread the word so I can keep writing.

Much Love, Mayhem, and Murder,
Morgan.

Good morning from the land of Murder and Mayhem.

Happy Monday.
It's a dreary day here. But hey! At least it's not snow!
I've been up working on Love is Bleeding, and I'm happy to report that I've just started chapter 12. Today, I should wrap up that one and thirteen. Once I do, the book is 7 chapters from completion. YAY!
This week is chaos here. I have to do my final read through of Consumed by Wrath, there's a book tour and promo kicking off in the next couple of days/weeks. I have two books to do corrections on, and last, but not least it's my daughter's 12th birthday party this weekend.
CHAOS aplenty!

I wanted to thank you for all your emails regarding Blood Red Rage. I'm so pleased that you like it. Next week, it will be available on Nook too. One by one, all the books will begin appearing on there. By the end of March, everyone can enjoy Elizabeth, Emma, Callie, and Tori.
If you haven't left a review on Amazon or Goodreads, please do. It's super important in order to keep these series going. If I don't get feed back, I have to drop them and focus on something else.

For those of you emailing about my FB page, here is the link. Like me and follow me there. I also have a more private page, and if you friend request me, I will accept it.

Other good news! I'm in the process of getting book trailers done, so once I do, I'll post them here for all to see. I hope you like them.
I can't wait!!!!!

Off to work on chapters 12/13.
Wish me luck! There's some big changes in store for Emma, Greyson, Tessa, Paris, and even Curtis and Brynn.
Wooooooooo Hoooooooo!

Much Love, Mayhem and Murder,

Morgan.
